“Nancy is so wonderful - a safe and loving temporary home for our very special little guy. We not only felt comfortable knowing Nancy was giving Teddy the best care, but also that they were probably both enjoying each others company while we were away. Teddy came home in one piece and was his same normal, happy self. Thank you so much for opening your home to Teddy, Nancy - we hope for more visits soon!”

About: I have experience in giving pets medications weather its pills or injection. I have experience in elderly pets, I am very patient and very attentive, and I have great communication. I do pet care as my main job, so it fits in my day perfectly. Plus I can take the pet (s) with me when I have to leave the apartment for any length of time. I will always communicate with the owners before hand. I am VERY attentive to every pet/clients that I take care of. I always make sure to have some booties on hand. Depending on the weather, I always make sure the pet is in the shade, on the grass, or even some dirt. I make sure that I have extra pet rain gear as well
“Words simply aren’t enough to express the gratitude I have for how my 4 dogs were loved and immediately welcomed in by her family. To say my dogs wanted to stay with her isn’t an understatement. I consider myself blessed to have met such a wonderful and caring family to love on my pet people when I can’t. She deserves all the praise in the universe. Woof woof woof woof wag wag wag wag from the crew too. We love you!”

“Andrea and Lee did an amazing job. They kept us updated on how everything was going with Jack. They showed a tremendous amount of love and caring for our dog. We would be so happy to have Andrea watch Jack in the future.”

“Roxanne was fantastic! She was very good with our pup, and did an awesome job sending us some pictures and videos of what our dog was up too. With the large amount of property it was great to know she was in good hands and that she could run around and play outside. As someone who had never used Rover, Roxanne definitely got us hooked; I’ll never use a kennel again. Thanks again!!”

“Mariia was incredible from the get go, she was responsive, understanding and willing to accommodate any requests we had. She’s friendly and Kovi, our dog, looked happy and well taken care of! Thank you Mariia! I felt like Kovi was in great hands while we were gone.”

“From the moment my two dogs met Peter they loved him. He is so good with doggies! The pictures he sent me showed just how happy they were with his family. They were given lots of time, affection, and fun, as well as special attention and grooming. They were with him because I was in the hospital for a medical procedure that went longer then expected. For me Peter's flexibility with my situation and the confidence he inspired made leaving my doggies in his hands in an already stressful time for me a peaceful decision. I would clearly recommend him!”

“We couldn't have asked for a better dog sitter for our elderly dog. They gave him all the love and attention a little old man could have asked for. We will definitely use them again.”

“Rayleigh & Nate and kids took great care of our dog. We did a meet and greet ahead of us dropping her off, and we received frequent updates with photos or videos to help ease our minds while we were away. Thank you for taking such great care of our girl!”

“Hashi's stay with Shawna and the ladies of Hootie Pups was great, just as his stay before, even though this time was a little eventful, as Hashi managed to get away from their place (no fault of Shawna's). Immediately Shawna and friends alerted both DogVacay and ourselves. They kept us informed and went above and beyond looking for him on the surrounding streets. Within an hour, he was found. Dogvacay was also very responsive and proved themselves to be a great service in this emergency. We have no issue whatsoever with leaving Hashi with Shawna and friends again as he looked just as happy to see us upon return as he was to stay there.”
“Kim was wonderful and willing to watch our pups even though she had a busy weekend herself. I appreciate the transparency and being forward with the information. I believe our pups were well taken care of and loved.”

“Julie is sweet and kind and the animals love her. My senior dog had the best stay with her. Lots of cuddles and a safe warm environment! I will definitely book Julie again and again!”

“Jean was very kind and helpful. I was nervous leaving my puppy for the first time (I spent a long time making a decision and even visited other homes), but I felt comfortable leaving him there and I think he had lots of one on one time and was not alone very much. She seemed to really enjoy her time with my puppy (who is a bit of a handful despite his size). She checked in with photos every day. They went for lots of walks and play time and he seemed very well cared for overall. She even dropped him off for me as I was getting in on a late flight. She is obviously a loving, fun person and enjoys dogs a lot. I would recommend her to other dog owners. Thanks Jean!!”

About: I grew up having a dog in the house so I know what it’s like to care for one, and the responsibilities that come with it. I believe dogs are like humans meaning they need the same love and attention that we do. While your dog is in my care we will go on walks, I’ll play with them, and take care of all its basic needs as well as providing pictures and videos to keep you updated. One of my special skills is that I am very patient with animals. I know it’s hard to trust a stranger with your fur baby but I am very trustworthy and caring and will treat your dog as if it was my own. Thank you very much!
“My elderly Austrailian Shepherd (15, lame, mostly deaf and blind) had an awesome stay with Bonnie, her very sweet, well behaved dog and two or three other boarding dogs for 10 days!! I hate leaving my old fellow for that long but I got pictures and updates every day that kept me abreast of how well he was doing. I think he actually enjoyed his time with his new friends. Bonnie is obviously sensitive and skilled as a doggy care provider! I will use her services again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Wilsonville
This was our first time leaving our dog with a pet sitter and Rebecca’s experience with dogs helped ease our concerns. She was good about responding in a timely manner and provided some photo updates during our trip. She understood our dogs needs and we really appreciated that she didn’t push him beyond his comfort level while staying with her.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
