Safety, trust & environment

My cat Pickles is the most important person in my entire life; I plan to treat your animal companion as I would treat my own. When I am responsible for your animal I will protect them with my life.

Information Marisa W. would like to know about your pet

I would love to know a little about the dog's personality and how friendly/shy/aggressive the dog is. At meet and greets I would want to sit down with the dog and make sure they get comfortable with me by letting them come to me first and sniff me out, and then petting them to show I am a friend. It's important to see that the dog is comfortable with me at the meet and greet before booking.

A typical day

I send lots of pictures and updates to my human clients to make sure they are comfortable and show them that their pup is having a blast! When we are outside, I keep pups on a leash at all times so that s/he doesn't get too curious and run off. When we are at the client’s home, I will make sure your pup follows his/her regular routine.

Pet care experience

I’m a hard-working, responsible pet sitter with endless love for animals. I love how dogs can automatically boost your mood and make you happy. Dogs are so loving and loyal, and being around them is the best part of any day. I love that as a dog sitter, I get to spend my time accompanied by a sweet dog or puppy. Since I enjoy exercising daily, I find dog walking a superb way for us to both get our exercise! I grew up with my dog Gracie who is a Bichon Frise who still lives with my dad. I still take her on hikes and boat rides (she loves the water!) and try to spend as much time with her as I can. I just recently adopted my cat Pickles and it has been an absolute joy getting to know her! She is the new love of my life! I also really enjoy sitting cats...I love how independent they are yet they can also be very loving and affectionate. I also have experience caring for other animals. Growing up, I had several rabbits and guinea pigs. I enjoy guinea pigs and rabbits because they are also very loving but their love is something you have to earn since they are often skittish — and also since I adopt all my animals. I have also owned hamsters, and taken care of my sister’s hamster Roxy when she had four babies. My mother has a rabbit and a bird, who I take care of when she goes out of town. I would love to watch any of these animals as well as dogs! I am a hard-working sitter and currently work as a driver for Doordash so my schedule is extremely flexible. I have graduated college and I hold a Bachelor's degree in English. Whatever I work on, I give it my all. I am an animal lover at heart; animals have been a huge passion of mine since I was a little girl. In the fifth grade I decided my dream was to own an animal refuge for abandoned, neglected, and abused animals — and that is still my dream today. Every animal I meet, whatever species it may be, I greet it with the utmost compassion and love. I am a very responsible woman and take pride in showing up to appointments on time or a little early. I enjoy cleaning and like for everything to be organized and clean especially after staying in someone else's space.

This was our first time using Marisa. We appreciated her prompt response when we reached out. She was very personable, on time and asked good questions during our meet and greet. We have two dogs and two cats and they warmed up to her quickly. During her stay, she was very communicative and sent lots of photos, which was great. When we got home, the house was picked up and clean. She did a great job and we would definitely hire her again.

Marisa was perfect for my skittish, shy chihuahua and my over protective worry to much personality. She came by twice before babysitting to meet me and Bogey. She asked questions that I would not have thought to tell her about Bogey. She was very thoughtful in making sure she had all the information in order to take good care of him. She kept me updated the whole two days with lots of photos and information. I have never left Bogey before with anyone other then my mom so I was very nervous but Marisa made me feel at ease. Will use her again!
