About: I have been around animals (cats, dogs, horses, and even the spare parrot!) for the majority of my life and have loved every second of it. As such, I am deeply attuned to the behaviors of our furry friends and am patient with the care I provide. I am passionate about caring for animals and showing them the love they deserve while maintaining the expectations of those I am pet sitting for. I have pet sat for friends and family frequently and am always thanked for my attention to detail and genuine care for their animals. I'm one to always go above and beyond in my work and never back down from a challenge, so please reach out with the unique needs of your furry friend! I am a graduate student studying clinical mental health counseling, so I have a large amount of availability at this time. I hope to work consistently with pet parents, but am flexible to provide sporadic care and attention as well. As of right now, there are few times that are off the table, so reach out with your pet care needs! When I visit your space I will always respect boundaries and communicate fully about what is expected of me. I welcome feedback and frequent communication from pet parents, and hope that I can become a trusted person in you and your pet's life! At this time, I do not have the availability to provide care in my own home, as I have two fur babies of my own who get stressed easily. If a care relationship is established, I would be willing to have a conversation about this if there is an extended amount of time where care is required (vacations, or otherwise).

About: Let's be real: our pets are family, and they deserve to be cared for like it! I recently moved to the PNW, but over the last nine years before joining Rover, I've had opportunities to help care for and work with dogs, cats, horses, guinea pigs, hamsters, birds, and lizards! As a lifelong pet parent myself, I understand the need to have a reliable, caring, and experienced pet sitter, and I work to provide that for every family I work with! Since I work from home and have a fully remote school schedule, my availability is incredibly flexible! Need a mid-day check-in and a walk? I'm there! Out late and need a last minute sitter? Sounds perfect! I emphasize positive reinforcement and play with my pets and my client's pets. Maintaining your house rules with your pet while building trust through engagement and some light training (basic obedience) will help me establish a relationship with your pet based on mutual trust and play. Dogs deserve to feel safe, comfortable, and confident, and I feel so lucky that I get to be part of that.

About: I have grown up with a dog in my home as well as have been around lots of pets! Have 3 cat fur babies of my own that I adore, love dogs as well! Currently working 4, 10 hour shifts as a medical assistant so am available 3 whole days a week 2 of the days being Saturday and Sunday and my day off varies weekly but I know what days I have off each week through the end of the year I will make sure each gets play time as well as walk time across the way we have a dog park and lots of place to run!

About: What sets me apart is my background in both veterinary medicine and animal behavior. I have over 4 years of hands-on experience working in veterinary settings with pets of all ages, temperaments, and medical needs, including anxious, senior, and high-energy animals. As a Zoology student at Oregon State University, I’m especially passionate about understanding animal behavior and making sure pets feel comfortable, enriched, and safe while in my care. I also have experience handling medications, monitoring health and behavior changes, and providing patient, individualized care for every pet. I am also very active and am always looking for a running partner who would like some good exercise and fun! I’m currently a part-time student and work part-time at the Boys & Girls Club of Corvallis, but I have a lot of weekend availability and flexibility throughout the week. I’m available for dog walks, pet sitting, drop-in check-ins, and general pet care, and I’m happy to work with each family’s schedule and routine! I love staying active and creating a good balance between playtime, exercise, and cuddle time. My current house doesn’t allow animals, but I have reliable transportation and would be happy to take your pet on walks, hikes, or to explore new parks if that’s something they enjoy. I’m active enough to keep up with high-energy dogs or cats, while also being patient and calm with pets who prefer a slower pace and plenty of downtime.

About: I’ve had experience with dogs for over 5 years now, including those reaching the end of their life span and with specialized health needs. I’m currently a full time student, but have full availability Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and will be open after 1pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays! I can easily crate and walk dogs as needed, and play to fulfill any health/social needs! I’m also good with keeping distance if that required.

About: I’ve taken care of my own pets for years and taking care of family members pets as well. I’ve had multiple dogs and cats. I also have some experience with reptiles. About: Friends and family have always counted on me to take care of their pets. I have a knack for listening to what a dog needs--whether that's a play, someone to just sit with, or whether they're just hungry. While I've watched peoples' standard dogs, I most remember sitting an elderly pug. She was still playful at her age, but still needed special care to ensure she was healthy and happy. If you're looking for a Portlander who doesn't mind getting his hands dirty to make your dog happy while you're away, I'm here for you. I can't wait to meet your furry family member. I think we'll have lots of fun together! I work-part time substituting and working for a non-profit retail store, but I often find I'm overwhelmed with people. Even though animals are demanding, they aren't as much an energy drain. My retail job is on the weekend, and subbing is during the week. I tend to accept subbing jobs the night before or the morning of the assignment, so I'd like 1-2 days advance for when you'd like me to take care of your dog or cat. I first like to know emergency contact info. This usually means the clients, but this can also be a vet. I then like to know the pet's dietary or personal needs as well as their schedule, what sets them off or gets them calm, and their basic personality traits. This helps me ensure I'm able to provide them with the best care. Typically homeowners will have a safe space already for their pet, but I continue that trend by ensuring nothing hazardous is left out. Above all, I try to establish a level of trust with the pet. Once I do, it makes ensuring the safety of the pet easier.
