About: Hiya! I’m a newer resident of the Portland area with a longtime background of caring for pets of friends and family hoping to fill a need in you and your pet’s lives. I love going on longer walks/excursions with dogs but also love just spending time in the neighborhood. I’m currently a part time post grad student looking to do some pet care during the day on weekdays, I can do weekends but mostly I’m looking for people wanting and needing pet time during their day to day work schedules when they can’t get home. I’m hoping to be as seamless into your life and schedule as possible. That means being in your house minimally, keeping you updated on times but not too buggy, keeping pets watered, and being in and out.

About: I've grown up with dogs, and taken care of them nearly my whole life. Each of the four dogs I've known best are rescues. They've certainly had their share of quirks and needs, but are lovely, loyal creatures. More recently, we've helped family, friends, and neighbors with their dogs. My 13-year old daughter Elise adores dogs of all shapes and sizes, and she's the motivation for sharing our home with more dogs. We also love small furry friends! We've recently enjoyed watching a sweet guinea pig and a dwarf hamster. I grew up with domesticated rats as pets - they were awesome! We're happy to watch small rodents anytime possible. I homeschool my four girls ages 11-17. They are all gentle with animals and provide lots of love for your sweet dog. We are home studying the majority of the time, and can flex for drop-off/pick-up. We have a large fenced yard that's very sturdy (the family recently rebuilt the fence). Inside our home there's a spacious downstairs and a gate to prevent access to the upstairs if needed.

About: We have a soft spot in our hearts for small dogs. We have had several in our lives over the years. We currently have a 4 year old Chihuahua. He is a rescue from the Humane Society so we are not sure of his exact age. Our 15 year old Chihuahua passed away 4 years ago and we have lots of experience with older dogs. We are practiced at having to give oral and eye and ear medications. We are also capable and available to watch larger dogs, It’s just not our preference. Your puppy, adult, or senior dog will get a lots of snuggles and playtime while you’re away. We like to go for walks. When it rains we walk around at The Home Depot for fun and adventure. I have plenty of time to play with your pup. I am available weekdays, weekends & holidays. We can take the dogs for multiple walks around the block. I have fenced yard, so your dog(s) can run around freely in the house and the backyard. I can crate your dog if that’s the routine.

About: I have grown up with both cat and dogs my entire life and was raised on how to take care of them! I was always the person growing up that friends and family reached out to when they needed a dog or cat sitter. I've also worked as a dog walker through a previous service as well. I am currently in between jobs so I am available all week between 6am and 10pm. I am off on the weekends but can make exceptions in some cases. When dropping in or walking pets I make sure they are safe and sound. I check to make sure they have water or food, clean and are happy. I triple check to make sure when entering and leaving that doors are locked and the pets are safe inside. On walks I am familiar with all harness types and make sure they are secure in my hold. I am also aware of my surroundings to make sure no dangers are around and that the pet is behaving normally.

Joy takes such wonderful care of our 3 cats. I’m an anxious person and leaving them alone used to make me nervous, but Joy goes above and beyond for them. She gives very detailed updates and pictures with every visit. She stays to play with them and clean their box, and she even lets them outside on their catio when she visits. She’s a wonderful cat sitter with a great heart. She’s very communicative, attentive, and sweet. My boys love her and we’re so happy to have her as their caregiver.
Alejandra did an excellent job of caring for my pets while I was out of town! After sending the booking request, she immediately reached out to me and was able to stop by for a new client visit on the same day! She was a breeze to work with and gave me updates and pictures each day. My cats were well cared for and I came back to a happy household. Kelly watched my two furballs (cats) while I was out of town for a few days. I looked forward to seeing pictures and hearing about what they were up to everyday. Kelly suggested a meet and greet before the actual time away. I had never actually done one before and I was very happy she suggested it. It was nice to meet the sitter in person and go over what generally is just a note on the counter. I felt that there was a better connection there, I liked her immediately and was comfortable with her in my home. Everything went well, instructions were followed, the kids came out to see her and play everyday and I knew from her notes and pictures that my furballs were in good hands. I would not hesitate to hire her again! And if you are reading this, trying to find the right person, Kelly is that person!
Mary Anne did a great job caring for our pets! We have two exuberant pitbulls that needed to be cared for during a weekend getaway. We were getting ready to board them in a kennel environment (which we have never done) when a friend thankfully recommended Mary Anne. She came by multiple times to let them go potty and also gave them treats and lick pads. She sent notifications and pics every time she stopped by so knew they were in good hands. I can’t say enough good things about her and highly recommend!
