Michelline took such good care of my girl (last minute) while I was having a busy work weekend. She walked her and gave her the cup of food I left and even brought my delivery box inside.

Ron is fantastic with our highly energetic Corgi! He's reliable and incredibly patient, and he never seems phased by his energy. You can tell Ron puts his whole heart into it. He genuinely cares about our dog's wellbeing. Our dog Kiyo absolutely adores the walks and gets so excited whenever he sees him. We've noticed a real difference in his mood and energy levels since we started using Ron, and we couldn't recommend him more highly.

Alexis has been so good with Wilson, my greyhound. She honored all of my requests for him as greyhounds can be quite a different sort of breed than others. Her sense of care for animals is exactly what I was looking for and I would recommend Alexis to anyone who needs someone to take care of their pooch☺️👍🏻🐾.

Andrea and Don were wonderful! They walked my dog Scout 3 days while we were out of town. My sister was staying with Scout but she is unable to walk him due to mobility issues. Andrea and Don came on time and walked Scout the amount of time we had requested. Couldn't be happier with how kind and considerate they are.

About: Hi there! I am someone who genuinely loves animals and understands how important it is to find a sitter you can fully trust with your pet. Pets are part of our family! I approach pet sitting with patience, consistency, and communication with owners. I adapt my care style to match every pets personality and energy. I am comfortable working with younger pets who need calm guidance and stimulation as well as older seniors who may need a slower pace, extra patience, medication and low stress environment. I know trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, I aim to provide the same level of care and attention I would want for my own animals! I have a very open and flexible schedule! You can highly expect me to accept times and dates requested through the app. I expect my schedule to stay this consistent for at least the next 4-5 months. I currently have 2 cats at home and would not be able to take in pets but am more than willing to drive to take care of pets in the comfort of their own home! I take time to understand each pets needs, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, etc. I aim to create a low-stress, caring environment while treating your home with respect and keeping you updated with regular messages and photos so you can feel at ease while you’re away.

About: I have always loved animals. I grew up with dogs and cats of all different breeds, personalities, and sizes! Currently I do not live with any animals. However, I have years of experience helping my mother with our German Shepard, Pitbull mix, Golden Retriever, and our little Pug/Chihuahua mix. As a high school student I often did boarding at my home, as well as house sitting for others. Now post college graduation, I am looking to get back into animal care while I work on starting my professional career. I am currently working jobs that allow me to create my own schedule, so I have plenty of free time to spend playing with sweet fur babies! I have experience with both crating and free roaming animals. In my home, I always make sure to leave human food out of reach and have plenty of toys for animals to play with. I also enjoy taking daily walks, and would love to bring your animal along with me!

Your dogs always know, don't they ? They tell you. Just watch them. What a difference a sitter makes! Her presence transformed him . My old boy was ignored and sad , "laying all by his lonesome" in the kitchen while I recovered from surgery. I ask the sitter , "where is he? " She doesn't know . Fast forward to his wagging tail with Allison. He sits patiently for 45 minutes because it's time for her to come walk him! His lethargic depression vanished ,and he trotted to sit outside the bathroom to wait for her. When I struggled from my recovery bed to look for him in his lonely spot in the kitchen, he was no longer there. He was up in bed with Allison. No shame to his game ! My guilt vanished to see all three of them were so lovingly cared by her They know when they are loved and they love in return. Allison is an absolutely wonderful pet sitter. I could not ask for a kinder person. She is so sensitive to each of my dogs temperaments. She is meticulous in recording everything that happens on their walks. She sends me photos throughout the walks. She is dependable and always shows up on time. She has been so flexible in working with me around my surgery and recovery and I have learned to absolutely trust my three fur babies with her. You could not do better than Allison.

About: I’ve been a pet lover all my life! I’ve only owned dogs but my friends have cats and I adore them! I’ve had dogs for 15 years! I’m active with my pooches and we love tug of war! I know from pet diets, potty training, play time, grooming and more! All my dogs are different types and and breeds, I have a Rottweiler/German Shepherd, a pitbull/black lab and miniature greyhound/Chihuahua. My oldest is the German Shepherd mix he is 14 years old so I know how to care for older pets, The other two are female and they both are around two, The Chihuahua I got From a abusive situation and I am now her adopted dog owner! So I also know how to care for pets that have been abused or very timid. Dog boarding is one of my main jobs, so I have a very flexible and open schedule. I am home throughout most of the day and have plenty of time to give your dog attention, playtime, potty breaks, meals, and lots of love. I do occasionally have things to do outside of the home, but caring for the dogs staying with me is always worked into my daily routine. I have a fenced yard for safe potty breaks and outdoor play, as well as my own friendly Black Lab mix\. I live with family who are also comfortable with dogs, so pets are welcomed into our home and treated like part of the family. I follow each owner’s feeding, sleeping, potty, and care instructions and can crate your dog if that is part of their normal routine

About: Your pup will enjoy a safe, cozy home with two work-from-home dog lovers, an animal-loving child, and a large fenced yard for plenty of safe playtime, attention, and cuddles. About Us My husband and I are working professionals who both work from home full-time and truly love caring for (and playing and cuddling with!) small / medium dogs. We have many years of experience with Shih Tzus and enjoy having furry friends stay with us. We spend a lot of time in our yard playing fetch and letting pups explore. Our large fenced backyard gives dogs plenty of space to safely run around and burn off energy. To make sure every dog receives plenty of attention and care, we host a maximum of three (3) guest dogs at a time, each weighing 25 pounds or less. Our Schedule Since we both work from home full-time, your pup will have plenty of human company throughout the day. This works especially well for dogs who prefer not to be left alone for long periods. Your pup is welcome to stay with us as long as they are house-trained and comfortable in a home environment. Our weekends are flexible, which means we usually have extra time for playtime, walks, and lots of cuddles. Our Neighborhood We have a large fenced yard and, we live near Hazeldale Park, where we often go for walks. We’d be happy to bring your pup along for some fresh air and exercise. We look forward to getting to know you and your furry family member(s)! 🐾 We work full time at home. We can provide 10-15 mins walks in the morning, around noon and after 4pm :) We say goodnight to the pups between 8 and 9pm. And morning wag greetings are usually at 7am. We have a fenced yard. The dogs are free to safely roam in the backyard area and explore as long as they want. We keep an eye on them to make sure they don’t chase squirrels 😅 We are also a non-smoking home.

About: I've been dog sitting for friends and family for over 7 years. I love dogs and love going on walks with them! I have experience with nervous dogs and higher energy dogs, I've dog-sat rescues, 1-year-olds with their bouncing off the walls, and seniors. I help my mom with in-home child care during the week from Monday to Thursday but I have free time outside of that. I usually can start the day by 7am but will start moving earlier if the dog needs it! I have a smaller fenced backyard with some dog neighbors. We have some guinea pigs in our home but they're upstairs in an elevated cage with a gate at the bottom of the stairs. The neighborhood has a variety of routes I can go on of different lengths to fit your dog's needs.

we recently adopted our dog, Sunny, a GSD mix. since Erika has looked after my kitties in the past, i reached out to her to check on Sunny a couple of times last week, because i had a week jam packed with several lengthy final exams. Erika stopped by the day before the first walk to meet & greet with Sunny, and Sunny was completely disarmed within 30 mins. by the end of the visit, she was napping with her head in Erika’s lap. even though Sunny was scheduled for walks (and despite her positive behavior during their initial meet-up), Sunny had her own agenda and wasn’t agreeable to going on walks when the time came. she was anxious about a newer person without me around, and this made her more stubborn and standoffish. Erika adapted and still spent some time with Sunny. she recognized her boundaries and had more of a drop-in visit instead. this still gave Sunny a break from her crate to go potty and do whatever she needed to do. i’m planning to schedule some time soon for us to walk together to help Sunny build more trust with Erika.

Angyl was amazing walking my chaotic 1.5 year old pitbull/husky/shepherd mix and my 14 year old yellow lab mix. Her background as a trainer, experience rehabilitating reactive dogs, and an owner of two Belgian Malinois herself (a breed that is not for newbies) was obvious and made me feel confident that my dogs were in good hands. She was also super communicative and went above and beyond. Thank you Angyl!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
