About: I have taken care of senior dogs for a while and tend to give medication and special care + attention. I have helped train puppies to do basic tricks. I have experienced two dog attacks (with my own animals) so I am aware of animal body language, boundaries, and tend to be very intentional with my care. I’m currently a college student who works part time on cam, so I have plenty of time to give your pets all of the love and make sure they get to go out on their walks. I can easily take care of your pet as long as I have instructions! I appreciate there to be a breakdown of your average day or expectation.
“Adara is wonderful. Milo gets his walk 4x a week and I can tell he is much calmer when I get home from work. Adara always makes sure to update me with details of the walk and how he did with other dogs and people. Milo has a past history of behavior problems so I knew I needed someone confident and Adara handles him like a pro.”

“Alexis has been so good with Wilson, my greyhound. She honored all of my requests for him as greyhounds can be quite a different sort of breed than others. Her sense of care for animals is exactly what I was looking for and I would recommend Alexis to anyone who needs someone to take care of their pooch☺️👍🏻🐾.”

“Haley was great! She helped me last second with some dog walking because the flu got me. I appreciate how quick she was with communicating and helping out. My pup was very happy after her walk and had a good time.”

About: If your bestie is a cat, dog, rabbit, or chicken, I am excited to get to know them! I have experience with kittens, puppies, elderly cats and geriatric dogs. I've trained a foster puppy so she could be the best version of herself for her forever home, and I'm working on earning my credentials through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers. Pet care is important not only for the pet but for my own health. My dog, Toby, helps me remember to eat, exercise, and play. Toby is 4 years old and I am grateful for his company every day. I cherish him and I know you cherish your creature, too! I am excited to care for your pet in your home. It's the most comfortable thing for the animal to stay in their own, familiar environment, so I will adhere to the routine they're most accustomed to. I am very happy to feed, exercise, groom, bathe, cuddle, and entertain them.

About: Hi there! I am someone who genuinely loves animals and understands how important it is to find a sitter you can fully trust with your pet. Pets are part of our family! I approach pet sitting with patience, consistency, and communication with owners. I adapt my care style to match every pets personality and energy. I am comfortable working with younger pets who need calm guidance and stimulation as well as older seniors who may need a slower pace, extra patience, medication and low stress environment. I know trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, I aim to provide the same level of care and attention I would want for my own animals! I have a very open and flexible schedule! You can highly expect me to accept times and dates requested through the app. I expect my schedule to stay this consistent for at least the next 4-5 months. I currently have 2 cats at home and would not be able to take in pets but am more than willing to drive to take care of pets in the comfort of their own home! I take time to understand each pets needs, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, etc. I aim to create a low-stress, caring environment while treating your home with respect and keeping you updated with regular messages and photos so you can feel at ease while you’re away.
About: I am dedicated to the well-being of your pet. I pay attention to detail and will follow your pet's plan to ensure their safety while in my care. I have a full-time job and am typically unavailable between 7am-4pm during the week. I am available most weekends to walk or care for your fur babies. Starting mid-June, I will have more availability during the day. I care for pets by following the plan provided by the owner. I provide time for play, exercise, and rest. When in my care, your pet is my top priority!
“Sydney went above and beyond with communication, both before and during the booking. And of course took great care of our pup. We appreciate the care she provided during the booking.”

“I recently got a puppy and booked an hour with Erica as part of his socialization process, to get him used to spending time with strangers. Erica and her daughter did an amazing job and I could tell Raider warmed up to both of them right away and felt very comfortable. It’s SO important for young puppies (especially giant breeds) to have positive experiences with new people. Thanks for helping to make sure I don’t wind up with a 120lb dog that’s afraid of people 🤣🖤Very much appreciated! 100% recommend”
“Bridget is a true animal lover! And she will replace used pee pads with fresh ones before she leaves! I feel so relieved having her take care of my two girls! And they love her!!!”

About: I grew up training and showing dogs and come with 9 years of experience in pet care and grooming. I currently do not have any dogs but am looking to offer my experience and care through dog walking and daycare and checkins. When housesitting I tend to vaccum and to some light cleaning to ensure that you are coming back to a clean home after your vacation. Looking forward to meeting your pets. I’m currently working full time but work a flex schedule and am fully available on weekends. I am free for daily walks and pet checkins I can check in with your pet, ensure proper exercise and potty breaks are taken throughout the day and ensure that feeding schedules are followed.
“Ron is fantastic with our highly energetic Corgi! He's reliable and incredibly patient, and he never seems phased by his energy. You can tell Ron puts his whole heart into it. He genuinely cares about our dog's wellbeing. Our dog Kiyo absolutely adores the walks and gets so excited whenever he sees him. We've noticed a real difference in his mood and energy levels since we started using Ron, and we couldn't recommend him more highly.”

About: I have taken care of dogs for many years, from put bulls to chihuahuas, I have yet to meet a dog I didn’t love! I have grown up with dogs my whole life and I have learned how to care for and bond with dogs of all kinds. I would love to care for your furry friends! I am a recent college graduate and I am looking for a part time job while I wait for my graduate program to begin in the fall. My schedule is very flexible and I love taking long walks! I am a pet parent myself, so I am always very careful and cautious with my surroundings. I am aware of the many toxic substances to cats and dogs, I have learned their body language, and I am always interested in learning more about the individual pet to better care for them!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
