“Dale did a great job with Lewie! Lewie was happy to see him every day and was comfortable with him on their walks. We were at ease knowing Lewie was in good hands while we were away. We will look forward to having him walk Lewie in the future.”

“Sydney is the best. She’s incredibly reliable and flexible. My schedule has changed several times and she’s been able to accommodate. Jango is so excited to see her every time she stops by & he’s always gets a good amount of energy out while in her care.”

“Kai had been so attentive and patient with our two pups. She checks in regularly and has been the perfect fit for our dogs. Will certainly rebook again. I'd give her 6 stars if I could!”
“Adara is wonderful. Milo gets his walk 4x a week and I can tell he is much calmer when I get home from work. Adara always makes sure to update me with details of the walk and how he did with other dogs and people. Milo has a past history of behavior problems so I knew I needed someone confident and Adara handles him like a pro.”

“Cadynce was amazing! She helped me out last minute & was very responsive. This was our first time having someone walk our dog, and we’ll definitely be reaching out to her again.”

About: Hi there! I’ve been pet sitting since middle school, and it’s something that has always brought me joy. Growing up on a small farm surrounded by chickens, horses, ducks, goats, dogs, and cats means that caring for animals of all kinds truly feels second nature to me. My husband and I have two cats, as well as an aquarium and a little jumping spider, so I understand care for all things big and small. Over the years I’ve looked after pets and homes for neighbors, family, and friends. I’ve also completed a pre-veterinary technician course to deepen my knowledge — because your pets deserve someone who takes their care seriously. Currently I am taking some time away from being a marketing and social media professional and dedicating time to building out my very own cookbook! My husband and I are also expecting our first little one this November! I know how important it is to find someone you genuinely trust with your pets, and I’d love to be that person for you. Whether your family includes something fluffy, feathered, or scaly, I’m here for it! I don’t host animal in my home and typically don’t do overnight stays since I am married, but I am happy to chat more about accommodation needs if that’s something you’d prefer. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or just want to chat and see if we’re a good fit. I can’t wait to meet you and your pets! I am just working on my cookbook at the moment, so I am very flexible time-wise. Send me a message if you have questions about care or need a special schedule. I do not host animals in my home, but I am always available for check-ins, quality time, walks, and taking care of house things like bringing in mail, watering plants, feeding fish, etc. Reach out if you need any more information.

About: What sets me apart from others is that I will spend quality time getting to know the pet and his/her individual needs. Building a trusting relationship with the animal is of the upmost importance. My weekly schedule will allow for me to be available to work providing pet care services 20-30 hours a week. Along with being reliable I am also willing to be flexible. Again, I get to know the animal and his/her needs while honoring the instructions and guidance from the owner. Establishing a solid, trusting relationship with the pet and its owner allows for a positive experience for all involved.
About: I’ve always been a dog girl & for as long as i remember there has always been a dog in my house; truly the best feeling the relationship you can build with dogs. I am able to check in or even stay over night whenever , my schedule is pretty open with online school and only working friday nights and saturday nights from 4-9, besides that i can make time. I have a pretty big spacious house and a back yard that’s not closed all the way off with a fence but a pretty good open area , i will always make sure your pets feel loved and well taken care of.
“Angyl was able to accommodate a last minute booking and gave a detailed walk summary. She asked great questions leading up to the walk and came prepared with treats. Will definitely book her again in the future!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Hillsboro
WE FOUND HIM! A real “dog whisperer!” Our first meeting and dog walking experience with Joey (Jose) was not through Rover. We met him when we had a medical emergency and were desperate to find someone to walk and care for our 11+ year Rottie, Jasmine’s. The dog’s immediate reaction when Joey came to our house was so heartwarming and sweet. It was as though she was meeting up with an old friend instead of a stranger. Now we see him on Rover! We have talked to Jasmine forever and appreciate that many pet owners understand the role of conversation in their human/pet relationships but not all people get that. We are so grateful to have this kind, gentle human in Jasmine’s life. He talks to her and just as important, he listens to her too. She has age related health issues, and like us, has good days and painful days. Joey cuts walks short when she communicates her discomfort and extends them when she’s feeling good! He is so prompt too…Jasmine waits by the door for him and when she hears his car she jumps around like an excited puppy! Joey is absolutely the BEST dog walker and companion we have ever had!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
