About: I’ve grown up with animals my entire life, so caring for pets has always been a natural part of my life. I also absolutely love getting to know each pet’s unique personality. I’m patient, dependable, attentive, and understand that every pet has their own routine and comfort level. Whether it’s playtime, walks, cuddles, or simply providing some extra attention and companionship, I’ll care for your pets as if they were my own. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, and I have the flexibility to give each pet the time and attention they deserve. I’m dependable and happy to work around each pet’s normal routine so they feel comfortable and cared for while their family is away. I treat every pet and home with the same care and respect I would want for my own. I follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, litter box care, playtime, medications if needed, and of course plenty of love and attention. I’m always mindful of safety around doors, gates, leashes, and anything your pet might get into. I also understand that every cat and dog has their own personality, so I’m happy to give them all the cuddles and playtime they want—or the space they need to feel safe and comfortable.
“Sydney is always incredibly thoughtful in how she cares for our pets. We always know they are in good hands with get. She is incredibly communicative while we're away. We will continue to book her.”

“We absolutely love Andrea. She's been taking care of my puppy since he was 8 weeks old. I was so nervous about going back to the office and work with a young pup at home. I immediately felt better knowing he'd have someone to check in on him! I appreciate how flexible she is with my changing schedule. I am so happy to have her as part of our care team for our dogs!”

“Adara was right on time and gave her full attention to my pups. She was respectful of our property and did all she could to make them comfortable. We also had a good "meet and greet" a few days before her visit with them. All went really well and I'd recommend Adara as a reliable pet sitter. I don't need help often but when I do will call on her again.”

“Ahnalisa is one of the best pet sitters I have ever hired. She did way more than I requested of her as far as caring for our pets, house and plants. My one cat is elderly, needs a pill twice a day, and is a picky eater. Zumbie has to have a different food every time he is fed. Ahnalisa even organized his food cans by flavor! My other cat stays in the utility room (sprays). He needs lots of play, brushing and petting. Jitters and Zumbie both were happy and healthy. They got lots of time with Ahnalisa and her son! The house was neater than when we left. She also cared for two llamas, watered our plants, got the mail and piled it neatly and took the garbage can down and back up our long driveway for garbage pickup. I would recommend Ahnalisa to anyone looking for a conscientious and caring sitter!”
“I was so impressed by Emily’s quick response and thoughtful communication. She was able to accommodate a short notice drop in and sent lots of pictures. I could tell my pup loved spending time with her and she sent a wonderful post-service update. Will definitely be requesting her for house sitting and drop ins in the future. 10/10 recommend.”

About: I’m excited to meet you and your pets! I’m experienced with every animal. I can assist you with training and learning your pets language with half the cost of personal trainers. I believe that our pets are family, I will take care of yours like my own. I understand nutritional, medical, and behavior traits in animals, especially dogs! I will greet you, note some basic day-to-day agenda for your animal and you can take care of what you need to. I provide a wide amount of services, including basic grooming and check-ups. Let me know what your pet needs and I’ll see if I can accommodate! Huge backyard and plenty of toys in my home. My dog loves to play with others and nothing wears doggos out more than another dog! I’m currently working part-time, so I have plenty of flexibility and availability for pet care throughout the week. I’m available for boarding, walks, drop-ins, and plenty of playtime and attention. I have a fenced yard and a friendly dog who love having company. I’ll provide a safe, comfortable, and loving environment for your pet while following their normal routine and any special instructions.
“Theresa was a wonderful pet sitter to my livestock guardian dog and two parrots. She was communicative, asked questions as needed, and provided a calm experience for my pets while we were away for a week. I highly recommend her services, and I definitely plan to use her again for my future pet sitting needs.”

About: I did off leash packs hikes for a few years with up to 18 dogs, working first hand with a trainer. I have Dog daycare experience. I worked alone with up to 22 dogs with safety being the biggest priority. I am able to ready a dogs body language and act accordingly, along with redirection and distraction. Knowledge with both positive training and E collar training. I respect everyone’s choices with how they train and willing to work with it. My work schedule is not 5 days a week so I have a lot of down time I want to fill with helping dogs get out more and have some fun adventures. Or check in with some loving kitties that are in need of some attention I treat others animals and homes how I would want mine to be treated. Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Hillsboro
Caitlin was so fabulous with our little Piper. Piper spent the first 18 months of her life in and out of shelters and foster homes so she’s extra skittish. Caitlin was so kind, calm, and gentle and earned Piper’s trust within the first few drop ins. We’re so sad that Caitlin is moving out of the area but we’re grateful for the love and care she gave Piper and know she will be a great match with pets in her new area.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hillsboro. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
