“Eliza did an amazing job watching our pups! She kept us updated and informed regularly throughout the weekend, did a great job keeping our pups loved and cared for, and was flexible and helpful in accommodating our plans. Definitely would recommend!”

About: I have taken care of senior dogs for a while and tend to give medication and special care + attention. I have helped train puppies to do basic tricks. I have experienced two dog attacks (with my own animals) so I am aware of animal body language, boundaries, and tend to be very intentional with my care. I’m currently a college student who works part time on cam, so I have plenty of time to give your pets all of the love and make sure they get to go out on their walks. I can easily take care of your pet as long as I have instructions! I appreciate there to be a breakdown of your average day or expectation.
“Olivander is great! He is very patient with my Dalmatian, who sometimes has a tough time adjusting to new people. He also takes the time to work on training, which is awesome! Definitely recommend him for your dog or other pets!”

“Paige was wonderful with our kitten. She is very thorough and punctual. We loved how she kept us updated on all the details and he really enjoyed his play time and company while we were gone.”

“Celina was amazing! She made the process super easy and was so kind. She communicated with us really well. We loved the daily pics and updates she sent and it made us feel so much better about leaving our boy Hugo behind. Hugo also loved her and even jumped up on her shoulders, so I'd say the feeling was mutual! First time for us using Rover and it was the best experience. Would highly recommend Celina to anyone using Rover!”

“Heather, did a great job caring for my cat. She even brought a laser pointer to engage my cat in play and make her more comfortable. I highly recommend Heather and look forward to hiring her again in the future.”

“Adara was amazing and very patient with our little chihuahua who can be really difficult with people she doesn't know. Adara was prompt, communicative, and my pups were very happy she took care of them.”

About: I have grown up with cats and dogs my whole life. Also, I have been trusted to check on my neighbor's pets. I have volunteered at a local animal shelter where I fed cats and dogs. Also I walked the dogs. I'm currently taking college classes part time, so I have plenty of time to stop by and care for your pets. Also, helping others always makes my day. I keep track of how often a pet needs to be feed and always check their water. Also, I pet them and say hi if they are friendly or give them space if they are shy. When walking a dog I make sure their leash is secure and their collar comfortable. Safety and organization is my priority. I keep notes on an individual pet's needs.
“Andrea is very professional and clearly has experience with animals. Our cat Zelda was well cared for during our 8 day vacation and although we missed her we knew she was getting some lovins' along with fresh food and water daily. The pictures she shared with us were much appreciated from her visits. We have booked Andrea for the rest of our vacations this year and feel comfort knowing Zelda will have consistent care while we are gone. We've used kennels before but am thinking no more knowing Zelda would prefer being home without the stress of other animals around, different smells and sounds, etc.”

“Sarah is amazing. She took care of my cat as if she were her own. My cat loved getting to see Sarah. I would recommend Sarah anytime!! Thank you for everything Sarah!!”

“Stacy always does well with my fur babies. She is thorough and on time! She checks in to clarify if needed and is very caring in her tasks. I am so appreciative of her pet sitting.”

About: I have taken care of dogs for many years, from put bulls to chihuahuas, I have yet to meet a dog I didn’t love! I have grown up with dogs my whole life and I have learned how to care for and bond with dogs of all kinds. I would love to care for your furry friends! I am a recent college graduate and I am looking for a part time job while I wait for my graduate program to begin in the fall. My schedule is very flexible and I love taking long walks! I am a pet parent myself, so I am always very careful and cautious with my surroundings. I am aware of the many toxic substances to cats and dogs, I have learned their body language, and I am always interested in learning more about the individual pet to better care for them!
“Shannon was amazing with our cats. One is extremely shy and she brought her out of her shell (and from hiding under the bed). She’s conscientious and we loved all the photos in her updates. We’d absolutely ask her to drop in again.”

“Robin did a great job taking very good care of our cat. Robin was on time, stayed the full half hour, played with our cat, gave her attention, and made sure she had all she needed each day. Definitely recommend Robin!”

“So grateful to have found Elizabeth on Rover! She was incredibly attentive, understanding, and caring with my puppy ! and truly worked magic with her! My dog is usually very shy and scared around new people, but by the end of her stay with Elizabeth and her kids, she looked so happy and confident. I couldn't be more thankful! Elizabeth also sent me regular updates and lots of adorable photos, I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone loving and trustworthy to care for their pet! :)”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 3,485 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Helvetia. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Helvetia. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
