“Mandy was quick to respond to any change or urgent messages. She was flexible and able to help monitor my cat’s sore that needed to be checked to see that it didn’t reappear.”

“Celina was wonderful! I was nervous about leaving our cat for 2 weeks but she was so great! She sent us updates and photos every day and it made me happy knowing he was well taken care of.”

“Ollie took great care of our 2 kitties, having great playtime and taking cute photos. He consistently cleaned their spaces and litter, allowing my partner and I to be stress-free during our travel! Thanks so much!”

About: I have grown up with both cat and dogs my entire life and was raised on how to take care of them! I was always the person growing up that friends and family reached out to when they needed a dog or cat sitter. I've also worked as a dog walker through a previous service as well. I am currently in between jobs so I am available all week between 6am and 10pm. I am off on the weekends but can make exceptions in some cases. When dropping in or walking pets I make sure they are safe and sound. I check to make sure they have water or food, clean and are happy. I triple check to make sure when entering and leaving that doors are locked and the pets are safe inside. On walks I am familiar with all harness types and make sure they are secure in my hold. I am also aware of my surroundings to make sure no dangers are around and that the pet is behaving normally.
“Helen was a great sitter who I would reach out to again. She treated Craig and our home with respect, was always on time for check in windows, provided pictures, and detailed updates each visit. Communication was great. I also appreciate the willingness to just spend some extra time hanging out with a nervous pup!”
“Adara is very professional, friendly, and reassuring — a fabulous set of qualities for just what we needed: a reliable cat-friend to check up on two different kitties. 1000% will book again!”

About: I grew up with a variety of animals and I am now a bun mom to my rabbit, Java, and well as four cats. I have volunteered at a local animal shelter and two in Costa Rica working with cats, dogs, and horses. I love all furry animals, regardless of shape, size, or breed! I also have experience providing medication, including insulin. I do work full-time from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Depending on where you're located, I may be able to stop by during my lunch break for a potty break, meal, or just to give your pet some love and attention. If your pet needs special care or has special circumstances, please let me know in advance. I am happy to accommodate and work with them!
“Shannon was amazing with our cats. One is extremely shy and she brought her out of her shell (and from hiding under the bed). She’s conscientious and we loved all the photos in her updates. We’d absolutely ask her to drop in again.”

About: I grew up surrounded by pets of every kind, mainly cats and dogs. I overall have a decade worth of experience in helping my mom raise her pet cats. I have about one year exprience of dog care from helping my mother-in-law's sweet, senior dog by mainly feeding, grooming, walking, playing games and administer oral medications for him. I have no prior professional pet-care experience, but have animal handling experience from raising them and my recent volunteer position. I am currently volunteering at House Of Dreams Feline shelter located in Northeast Portland. I am an avid animal lover looking to gain more professional hands-on experience in pet sitting, dog walking, and general animal care. Someday, I would love to start my own daycare and boarding business for cats and dogs. I'm only offering Drop-in visits and Dog walking at this time. I'm currently working part-time & volunteer once a week. My availability starts on Saturday, August 1st and then from here on my availability will between Monday-Friday after 3pm. Saturdays and Sundays, I am available all day. 🐕🐈⬛☺️ Whether it's drop-in visits or dog walking, your pet will always be my number one priority. I'm more than happy to adapt to the routine they are most familar with. I respect other peoples' rules with pets and house rules as well as my own. I completely understand that it takes time for most pets to warm up to a new person in their social circle. When your pet is under my care, he/she is my best friend and will be treated like family I have no pets of my own at this time, but highly desire to become a cat and a dog mom after my husband and I get a place of our own. I'm currently staying with my mother-in-law who has a tender-hearted, senior chesador dog. I take him out for walks a couple times a week in my spare time, play fetch, feed and groom him and shower him with love and affection. My mother currently has two adorable twin gray tabby kitttens and a sweet, energetic female hound-border collie mixed puppy. She currently resides with them out in Southeast of Oregon and every time I come out to visit her and her furry children, I can't get enough of their overwhelmingly cute and heartfelt affection.
“Theresa was a wonderful pet sitter to my livestock guardian dog and two parrots. She was communicative, asked questions as needed, and provided a calm experience for my pets while we were away for a week. I highly recommend her services, and I definitely plan to use her again for my future pet sitting needs.”

About: Hey there! I'm an energetic and avid lover of dogs and pets alike. I had a French Bulldog in the past who kept life interesting. I like to think I became an expert at keeping him entertained and well taken care of. I also have two cats, who I love to death, making me flexible to work with multi-pet homes. To keep my puppy entertained, I'd take him out on daily walks for half an hour or longer, as well as throw a ball or another beloved toy around to get his energy out! I've worked with families with dogs of various sizes and have always done my best to keep them entertained and well taken care of. I promise to shower your best friend with lots of love! I currently work a full time job during the week (M-F, 8am-5pm). However, I’m happy to take care of your furry friend after work or throughout the weekend. I ensure I speak with the owners about any specific needs or activities to consider when taking care of their pup. I have taken care of dogs in owner's homes and let them roam free in the backyard while I am home and then in a kennel until I or their owners have returned. Additionally, I will ensure I keep them in a safe environment and away from other potentially dangerous dogs or situations when out in public.
“Very dependable. Did a great job taking care of our very elderly cat while we were out of town, which required giving medications. We would highly recommend and will definitely use again, when available.”

Grace was an enormous help checking in on my cat while I was away. From booking and the meet and greet to cat duties and the pics of my cat, Grace was professional and happy to meet the needs of Sprite. As a pet owner who's anxious about leaving them alone at home, I would absolutely look to Grace again to sit for my cat!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 3,461 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Helvetia. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Helvetia. On Rover:
- 97% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
