“Paula is friendly and so knowledgeable. Her dogs were great playmates for my dog, so I got a happy, tired out pup when I came for pick up. Paula was flexible with me on drop off and pick up times due to icy roads - I really appreciated her kind demeanor and quick communication.”

“Kimberly and her family were incredible with our 2 year old golden retriever. Kimberly’s home was nice and setup great for pets. Kimberly has a big back yard that my pup loved running around in. Kimberly sent my family updates twice a day with pictures and my pup came home happy and tired. We will definitely use Kimberly again!”

“Melani was great taking care of CalCal my goldendoodle. We met up beforehand to make sure my dog would get along with her dog. She sent many photos during the boarding. Would use her again; thanks Melani!”

“Our pupper loved his stay with Stephanie, her husband and Aurora! I think he was on just as much of a vacation as we were! Stephanie sent photo updates every other day or so and was very responsive whenever we reached out to her. She bought treats specificly for our little one to chew on and took him on lots of walks. Aurora the husky is super sweet and was a wonderful playmate for our pup, welcoming and social, our pup who is generally pretty timid in play with other dogs, warmed up and had a grand time. Stephanie and her husband were also very flexible with our scheduling needs and accommodated us to be able to drop off and pick up our pup! We cannot recommend them enough!”

“This was our first time using rover and I have to say, Steve will have us coming back! We were overseas so it was nerve wracking to leave our four-legged family members somewhere new, but Steve gave us daily updates and plenty of pictures. He even tracked every walk they went on and sent me those updates as well. I have every confidence our dogs were well cared for while we were gone! So thank you so much!!!”

“We had such an amazing first Rover experience with Britney and truly could not have asked for a better person to care for our two female German Shepherds. From the very beginning, she was incredibly friendly, responsive, and communicative, which immediately helped ease a lot of the anxiety that comes with leaving your dogs with someone new. She kept us updated daily with pictures and videos of our girls playing, being goofy, relaxing, and genuinely looking comfortable and happy in her home. Those updates meant so much to us and gave us real peace of mind while we were away. Britney was also very upfront and honest with any questions or observations regarding the dogs and was always open to suggestions that could help them settle in more comfortably. One of the biggest things we appreciated was her experience with German Shepherds. You can absolutely tell she understands the breed and their personalities, energy levels, and needs since she previously owned one herself. She had toys available, a great environment for them, and also boarded only our girls without other dogs during their stay, which made us feel even more comfortable and helped reduce stress for them. She also gave us thoughtful feedback, training tips, and helpful suggestions that we genuinely appreciated as first-time Rover users and German Shepherd owners still learning along the way. It never felt judgmental, just supportive and caring. Overall, Britney went above and beyond for our girls, and we are so grateful for the care, patience, and attention she gave them. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, experienced, and genuinely caring for their pets.☺️🐾🩷”

“We have used Irene twice recently. Very responsive, easy to work with, really cares about your dog. Allows lots of play time. Our dog didn’t want to leave. Will use her again.”

“Our dog stayed with Angela over thanksgiving. She sent us daily updates with many pics. Could tell our dog was having a blast and getting tons of exercises in Angela’s large backyard. Highly recommend.”

“Second time our dogs have been here, they took such good care of them and are super communicative with updates on how they are doing. Will continue to leave my dogs with them in the future if needed”

“Our dog enjoyed a lot at Saira’s place. He became friends with their kids and played a lot with woof buddy Bruce. I would definitely love to leave mowgli again in their care in future.”

“Piper stayed with Katie and her family for 16 days. We had to travel abroad and wanted our girl to have 1:1 attention. Katie was great sending us daily updates and photos. I felt safe knowing my girl was taken care of and I could enjoy the trip.”

“Gage is really nice and responsive and he took a great care of Tater tot. We got regular updates and pictures and was easy to communicate with. I highly recommend! Will rebook again in future.”

“We had an excellent experience with Lorri and would not hesitate to book with her again. From the moment we connected, she was communicative, accommodating, and genuinely caring. She took wonderful care of our dog and kept us updated throughout the stay with messages and photos, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. It was clear that our pup was comfortable, happy, and receiving lots of attention and care. We especially appreciated Lorri's flexibility with both drop-off and pick-up times, which made coordinating our travel plans so much easier. Her responsiveness and willingness to work with our schedule were truly appreciated. Our dog came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. It's obvious that Lorri treats the dogs in her care like members of her own family. We are so grateful for the loving environment she provided and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy, and compassionate Rover sitter. Thank you, Lorri!”

“Cristina and her family took good care of our little Pomeranian as if she was one of their own. She sent pictures of her and it was so comforting to see her “smiling” in the pics and enjoying their company! Our flight got cancelled and we weren’t able to return the day we arranged but, Cristina had no problem taking care of her another day. She even went out of her way to get more of her wet food, even though she still had her dry food left. I definitely recommend Cristina and will for sure book her again if she is available the next time we will be out of town!”

“Heather took care of our two dogs while we were on a two week trip. She sent us frequent photos and videos of the dogs. We felt very confident that they were well taken care of. This is the first time that we have put the dogs in a boarding situation for that amount of time and were very satisfied when we returned to pick them up.”

“Ron will be our go-to guy as long as he is willing to take our dog! Our dog is always so anxious before and after we leave. He was excited to run into Ron’s home and has been so relaxed ever since we picked him up.”

“This was our first time leaving our dog with someone else. He's our only "child", and we are definitely helicopter parents with him. Lea sent pictures where he was happy, her house looked safe for him, and he returned to us happy. We felt comfortable with him with her, and will definitely book another boarding when needed.”

Ewa is a great dog sitter, she treats my dogs as if they are her own. She is my go to dog sitter, highly recommended her! I know everytime I drop my baby’s off that they are In great hands! Boba tea is a rescue and and I felt nervous leaving her for the first time, but she jumped straight up on the couch with her daughter and forgot I even existed. Thank you so much Ewa!!
I usually have my dog watched by family. 1st time booking with Rover. Very last minute booking for a long weekend stay due to an unplanned event in another state. Easy to book after setting up my account with information. John & So gave me updates every day with notes & video shorts. That made it easier for me not to worry. John & So have a nice home with a fenced in yard in a good neighborhood. Miyuki was walked every day. I think she enjoyed her sleepover. My 8 year old dog is constantly alert and has an average temperment, with bouts of high energy. I would use their services again and recommend them highly.

This was the first time we ever had our girls stay in someone else’s home and Saira and family could not have made it easier for us! The daily photos and updates gave us such a sense of comfort. When we picked them up, they were so happy and not at all stressed. We will absolutely use their home again for pet sitting!

Highly recommend! Our dog had a great time at their home. Aundrea sent frequent updates, including video and pictures which really helped us feel at ease. We could see that he was really enjoying himself with their family and staying very active, playing and going for walks.

Rochelle was awesome. Super easy to communicate with, and her place is really clean and comfortable. Her dog was super sweet and hit it off with Mr. White right away. When we picked him up, he was calm and happy; clearly had a good time. We’ll definitely book with her again.

Chris was great with my dogs! And he was a good communicator with me, too! I had to make a last-minute booking and Chris responded quickly and made it possible for me to drop my dogs off that evening. While he had them, he sent photos and asked questions along the way, making it clear he was thinking about their needs. It looked like my dogs were integrated into his household seamlessly, and they seemed happy when I picked them up. I would definitely return to Chris for boarding!

Our first time using Rover and we were not disappointed. Luna became instant pals with Yoyo and got to go on walks and a car ride. Brian was a a great help, quickly responding to text and provided updates via picture and video to let me know Luna was enjoying herself. We'll definitely be reaching out again next time I've got a trip that Luna will have to sit out.

Cailen and David were the best sitters we've experienced in the area so far. Cailen was very communicative/responsive and also accommodating/understanding of pick up times and Pepper's behavioral cues. I felt super comfortable leaving Pepper with them. I got plenty of updates and Pepper got along so well with Penny. Would love for Pepper to stay with them again!

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Hillsboro home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Hillsboro.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
