About: Hiya! I’m a newer resident of the Portland area with a longtime background of caring for pets of friends and family hoping to fill a need in you and your pet’s lives. I love going on longer walks/excursions with dogs but also love just spending time in the neighborhood. I’m currently a part time post grad student looking to do some pet care during the day on weekdays, I can do weekends but mostly I’m looking for people wanting and needing pet time during their day to day work schedules when they can’t get home. I’m hoping to be as seamless into your life and schedule as possible. That means being in your house minimally, keeping you updated on times but not too buggy, keeping pets watered, and being in and out.
“Haley was a lifesaver and jumped right in after I had another sitter fall through. One of my very shy kitties actually let Haley pet her and get close to her. It seems like my kitties really liked her and were doing so well when I returned home from my trip.”

“Joy is amazing with our herding dog, Jax. He has a hard time trusting others, and he loves Joy! She is reliable, knows how to handle reactivity, and helps out in a pinch, which is truly appreciated by us.”

“Tiffany is amazing with my girls. Her upbeat energy and firm boundaries provide such peace of mind for me. Tiffany comes to let my girls out while I work at night and receiving photos and videos are a highlight for me, gives me peace of mind while I am working. She is such a caring person and I really feel she is looking after my girls.”

About: Since I’ve been working from home, I’ve become pretty sedentary. I was contemplating getting a gym membership, when I realized that I could walk cute fluffy dogs instead! So, here I am! I had a little white fluffy Maltese for fourteen years named Henry. I lost him due to complications with old age a couple of years ago, and have been too heartbroken to get another dog since. I have a TON of experience with little dogs because of him. I also regularly walk and babysit my friend's and family's pets, so I have many years of experience with different sizes and breeds of dogs. I'm currently WFH with a flexible schedule, so I can adapt my daily or weekly routine to dog-walking or housesitting with ease. I would LOVE to get my steps in, or cuddle with a floof, or housesit somewhere I don't reside and take advantage of trying different restaurants. I don't currently have any pets, so this is my way of getting to pet cute fluffy animals and get paid to do it! Pretty sweet bargain. I have a deep love for dogs and cats and a respect for their preferences, personalities, and autonomy. Care for pets is different, depending on the animal and the pet parents. My sister has three cats. One of them wants nothing to do with humans, and one needs constant attention and pets and cuddles. So, one gets left alone when I babysit and one gets lots of cuddles. One former client of mine had an old dog that liked to be left alone, but didn't want to be alone in the house. So I stayed around the house and didn't bother them much. A different former client had a puppy who wanted to go explore and go for long walks and sniff everything in sight. So that's what we did. It's different for every pet, every family, every household. I'm flexible, and enthusiastic, and hold the belief that while pets are only a small part of our world, to them, we are their whole world. They deserve to have their needs met, and to feel good about the interloper invading their space. I treat every animal with the respect they deserve. I also treat every household with the respect the home deserves. I always leave homes as I found them, or better. I would expect anyone entering my home to hold a degree of respect for my space, and I always offer that same respect in return.
“Allison was a fantastic sitter for our pets. I needed someone fairly last minute, at Christmas, and Allison accepted the job. She was communicative and accommodating from the very beginning. I cannot say enough wonderful things about her. She is sweet, thoughtful and responsible. Please don’t hesitate to request Allison as your next pet sitter. You will absolutely not be disappointed.”
“Terrific communication. Elizabeth was wonderful and even cared for our plants during this heat. She sent daily photos and the cats seemed very happy when we got home. Will definitely use her again!”

“Madelynn was great. She spent an hour with my dogs in a last minute request. My dog recently had a seizure and I was worried to leave him at home. She was totally comfortable to stop by. She took tons of pictures and even walked my dogs in the rain. Thanks, Madelynn.”

“Madeline provided stop-in visits to feed and check on our cat, Phoebe. She arrived for our meet-and-greet on time, asked lots of thoughtful questions, and was very accommodating to her preferred schedule! While we were gone, she provided super thorough updates, which included keeping track of her food and water intake. Overall, Madeline was very thorough, knowledgable, thoughtful, and trustworthy, and we would absolutely hire her again in a heartbeat!”

“Christy walks our puppy regularly. This holiday she did drop in visits with our cats while we were away. They both love her even the cat who is scared of practically everyone else! Highly recommend her for all your pet care needs.”
“So happy to have found Erika! She such a nice person and truly cares about the pet she’s taking care of. I was kept fully up to date of the shenanigans my cat was up to while I was away. Had absolutely 0 problems and can’t wait to have her back!!”

“Kelly was wonderful and took great care of our cats Cookie and Fudge while we were out of town for our wedding. She sent pictures every visit and I was well assured they were being taken care of. She made great friends with them and I would happily book her again next time I have to leave town. Thanks again Kelly!”

“Vanessa was fantasic! We could jot have asked for a more responsible and loving caretaker for our dog, Bodhi. We will most certianly request her services again in the future!”

About: Hi there, I’m Monica, and I bring to your home the experience of over 7 years in the veterinary field! I share my home with two sweet cats who are my world, but I really miss having that daily connection with pets of all kinds, which is why I’m so excited to spend time with yours. I have a big heart for animals, and I’m very tuned in to their needs. I respect personal space and body language, and I definitely have “mom ears” — always listening, always noticing, always making sure your pet is safe and comfortable. Whether your furry friend is shy, playful, or a little bit of both, I’ll meet them right where they are with patience and love. Right now, I work per diem in healthcare, and I’m in school full time, which means I spend a lot of time studying at home. So with furry buddy by my side — keeping me company, getting belly rubs and nose boops while I have my nose in a book is the life! Since I’m per diem, I also have flexibility (especially with requests made well in advance), so I can be there when you need someone you can trust. Your pets will be treated like family with me, and I’d love the chance to give them all the care, cuddles, and companionship they deserve while you’re away. Sincerely, Monica I’m per diem and doing online school full time — so it works out very well, especially with enough advance! It makes it very easy and flexible to be home with your pets. I love gauging each personality, seeing how their playing-type is, reading their behavior (even subtle signs) and ease into what their nature and comfort zone is.
About: I have over 12 years of personal pet care experience from growing up with and caring for my own pets. As a full-time physical therapy student, I’m highly responsible, detail-oriented, and compassionate. I’ve cared for my own pets for years, including senior animals, and I’m comfortable with feeding, walking, grooming, and medication routines. My background gives me a special sensitivity to mobility and health needs, making me a calm, attentive sitter who treats pets like family. I’m currently a full time graduate student. As of right now, I am off for the summer and am available during most weekdays and weekends until the beginning of August 2026. I enjoy spending my free time staying active and caring for animals, so pet sitting is a natural and rewarding part of my weekend! I provide care in the client’s home to ensure pets stay comfortable in their familiar environment. I follow their usual routines for feeding, walks, playtime, and any special instructions like medications or crate time. I always aim to keep pets happy, safe, and stress free while their owners are away.

Hazeldale cat parents share their Rover experiences
Kelly watched my two furballs (cats) while I was out of town for a few days. I looked forward to seeing pictures and hearing about what they were up to everyday. Kelly suggested a meet and greet before the actual time away. I had never actually done one before and I was very happy she suggested it. It was nice to meet the sitter in person and go over what generally is just a note on the counter. I felt that there was a better connection there, I liked her immediately and was comfortable with her in my home. Everything went well, instructions were followed, the kids came out to see her and play everyday and I knew from her notes and pictures that my furballs were in good hands. I would not hesitate to hire her again! And if you are reading this, trying to find the right person, Kelly is that person!

Absolutely STELLAR care. We all have that anxiety when leaving our babies home. Well, in our household, the anxiety melts away because we have THE best sitter in the world! Our cat LOVES her and the visit summary comes with tons of pictures that bring so much joy while gone :-) solid 15 out of 10!

This was my second time using Sydney as my cat sitter, and she was absolutely wonderful. My cats adore her so much. Every time she comes in, they go to greet her, flop over for belly rubs, and rub their faces against her asking for attention. It makes me so happy to see how comfortable and loving they are with her. I highly recommend her to anyone. She is truly an amazing cat sitter.

Mandy was great! Our pet sitter cancelled the day before our trip and I message Mandy to see if she was available. She came that night for a quick meet and greet to ensure my 5 fur kids would be comfortable along with her comfort. She gave frequent updates, photos and made sure all was taken care of. It was such peace of mind knowing she was with our kiddos. We would definitely use her services again.

Courtney took excellent care of our cat while we were gone, and made sure she had everything she needed. This was the longest we have left our cat before, and Courtney made sure our cat was comfortable while we were gone. We are very appreciative, and would definitely book her again.
