As an adult, my dream job became a reality while working for a local veterinary hospital, first as a receptionist, and later as a licensed veterinary technician. Working at a busy small animal hospital has given me insight and experience connecting with, and caring for, a variety of dispositions, temperaments and personalities. I have since retired from the hospital, but will never retire from loving animals! I keep my technician license current and attend continuing education seminars on a regular basis. Being 'retired' gives me the freedom, time and flexibility to provide exceptional care for your beloved furry, feathered, or scaly friends.

My love for all critters, as well as my compassion and experience, will allow me to provide the extra special tender loving care your pets deserve, as well as any medical or special attention that they may need. My sitting style is to let your pets dictate what we do, I appreciate and respect each animal's uniqueness. If they want to play, we'll play! Is snuggling on the couch more their style? I am more than happy to oblige! I mean, really, who can resist a good cuddle session?! Are they timid, reserved and shy? I will take things slow to gain their trust. I will never force a connection just to prove that I'm good with animals. They are, after all, the boss and their safety, health and happiness are my priority.

A typical day
With the kitties in my care, I have found that with a quiet, patient demeanor that I am, more often than not, able to earn the trust and affection of even the most shy and timid kitties. It warms my heart and brings me great satisfaction to do so. I love to encourage both physical and mental stimulation for the dogs that I walk; exploring parks and wooded areas, and allowing plenty of time to stop and sniff all the smells!

Hello! My name is Deanna, and ever since I was a small child, I knew that I would grow up to work with animals. Having pets of my own at a very young age (including cats, dogs, hamsters, chickens and a box turtle), I independently provided care for all of their needs. The current rulers of my home are my beloved fur babies, Mowgli & Marley. They live such a pampered life that family and friends often joke about wanting to live as a cat in my home!
