Before the job even started (just days before we were set to leave town), one of my cats came down with a surprise eye infection, and Erika was so flexible and accommodating. She went the extra mile and worked with me to make a new plan and schedule, and I was still able to leave for part of my trip. She was very adaptable to my Fiona’s quirks and shyness, and was able to administer her meds. She played with Sophie and gave her scritches when she wanted some. “Stephen is such a delight who truly loves animals. He treated Tohopka as though she was one of his own. His household is incredibly nurturing and loving with the pets that enter his home. I worked a seasonal job at the Capitol that required me to find daycare there in Salem. Stephen would send me videos and photos throughout the day of my husky, Tohopka, as she was running his yard, and playing with all the other dogs. He would also send me photos of him taking her on walks. I could work a very intense day knowing that my fur baby was being taken care of properly and with love. If ever I need daycare in Salem again, I will be using Stephan's services. And when I do occasionally go to Salem for the day, I will be stopping by so Tohopka can say hi, as she developed a very large bond and appreciation for her new friends. About: If you're a dog lover, you should have dogs, right? I've had dogs all my life and we currently have two small well-behaved dogs, Daisy and Buddy, both under 20 lbs. My 23-year-old son Sam is a co-sitter (I'm primary) and your doggie will receive all the love it can handle! Sam used to volunteer as a dog walker at the Maui Humane Society when we lived on Maui and we spent Saturdays at the pet-a-puppy adoption gathering at the Maui Mall. Animals seem to know we're safe and loving and tend to come to us when they need help. We've rescued a duckling, a Mynah bird, a baby squirrel, a lost kitten, and two adult dogs, caring for them in our homes until appropriately placed or returned to their owners. We also took part in a humpback whale rescue when visiting Maui Feb 2023. I work from home as an instructional designer; my son is an student in animation and is also at home and absolutely adores every animal he ever met. Two responsible adults are here at all times, so this makes it easy to give your fur baby the attention it deserves. Our dogs are indoor dogs and have free roam of our house. We have a large, fenced, dog-friendly backyard for exercise. Our two small friendly dogs can show your dog the ropes. We recommend a visit prior to placement so they can all get acquainted.

About: Your pup will enjoy a safe, cozy home with two work-from-home dog lovers, an animal-loving child, and a large fenced yard for plenty of safe playtime, attention, and cuddles. About Us My husband and I are working professionals who both work from home full-time and truly love caring for (and playing and cuddling with!) small / medium dogs. We have many years of experience with Shih Tzus and enjoy having furry friends stay with us. We spend a lot of time in our yard playing fetch and letting pups explore. Our large fenced backyard gives dogs plenty of space to safely run around and burn off energy. To make sure every dog receives plenty of attention and care, we host a maximum of three (3) guest dogs at a time, each weighing 25 pounds or less. Our Schedule Since we both work from home full-time, your pup will have plenty of human company throughout the day. This works especially well for dogs who prefer not to be left alone for long periods. Your pup is welcome to stay with us as long as they are house-trained and comfortable in a home environment. Our weekends are flexible, which means we usually have extra time for playtime, walks, and lots of cuddles. Our Neighborhood We have a large fenced yard and, we live near Hazeldale Park, where we often go for walks. We’d be happy to bring your pup along for some fresh air and exercise.
