Availability
This is currently my full-time source of income, meaning that I will have lots of time to dote on your pet(s). I do have some regular dog walking and drop-in visit clients, so I will often be out and about making visits between the hours of 11am -4pm. If your pet needs potty breaks or medications during those hours, I am very proactive about taking that into account and planning my day around those needs. I am a very active person and love to hike and be outside. I do myself have a family comprised of my husband and our 12-year-old son, as well as our dog (Freya), cat (Farrukh), bunny (Rogue), and our fish and menagerie of plants. As such, I will likely need to leave your pet at some points throughout their care for tasks such as drop-off/pick-up of my son from school, running errands, checking in with the fam, etc. For 'House Sitting', I may leave for 4-6 hours at some points, with longer increments being discussed prior to booking to make sure that they are compatible with the care you need and desire for your pet(s). *If your pet requires CONSTANT CARE (can not be left alone for more than 3-hours at a time), please state this during your booking as this will incur an additional charge for multiple day stays.

A typical day
House Sitting - A typical day will look like food and medications and/or supplements given according to instructions - followed by play time, walks, exercises, and/or outdoor enrichment throughout the day. *If you would like an exact schedule to be followed for your pet(s), please let me know. Even on my busiest days, I make sure to stop by frequently for potty breaks and to keep to any medication schedules. However, on my busiest days this may look like a brief drop-in during my "busy hours" (typically 11am - 4pm). Drop-In Visits - the pricing for drop-ins is as stated, +$15 per additional half hour. Drop-ins are completely focused on your pet with a food and water check, any additional care according to instructions, followed by playing, walking, snuggles, grooming and/or training (by request), potty breaks, outside enrichment, etc. I am very active in engaging pets in walks, treat hunts, creating obstacle courses, or whatever else is required to get them active and engaged during our visits. Dog Walking - just what it sounds like! But this time can also be used for training, therapeutic exercises, or anything else you would like me to work on with your dog! *Willing to shuttle pups to-and-from training, swimming, exercise, or other appointments for an extra charge.

Pet care experience
I have experience working as a dog trainer as well as having worked in several different veterinary clinics throughout my 20's as a technician assistant, physiotherapy tech, and receptionist. I have extensive experience with caring for special needs animals and am able to help with both geriatric and post-surgical dogs and cats. I've raised several puppies as my own pets throughout my adult life, as well as having experience raising kittens and baby bunnies. I have rescued some domesticated birds in the past, and have even rehabilitated some non-domesticated animals. Additionally, I was a 4-H kid in elementary and middle school where I developed extensive knowledge of animal husbandry for a wide variety of animals. I would love to help provide the best care possible for your furry (feathered, or scaled) family members, whether that be regular help with walks, drop-in visits with them during the week, or making sure they stay happy, healthy, and entertained while you're away on vacation. 🌱🌤🌷

Reviews

Was wonderful to have Allison sit for our little butter nutters!

Allison provided all the attention my feline wanted. From treats to pets and time on the balcony on sunny days. Thanks!

Allison is SO good with animals. She always knows what they need and seems to really enjoy coming up with fun ways to keep the cats busy 😜. Thank you!
Great walks!
