About: I had dogs as my pet from my childhood. Many customers appreciated me as the best dog sitter ever. I even took care of small puppies below 5 months old. I’m currently a homemaker. So I will be able to spend more time with your dogs. I can assure you that I give my 100% in taking care of them. I have a bigger fenced backyard where your pet can play and spend more time. I will be always near them, taking care of them.
“Kai had been so attentive and patient with our two pups. She checks in regularly and has been the perfect fit for our dogs. Will certainly rebook again. I'd give her 6 stars if I could!”
About: I have had dogs and cats in my house hold for as long as I can remember, and have been pet sitting, dog walking, and dog washing since I was 14. I work full time, however I have a stable schedule, and do not work Mondays, Tuesdays, or Wednesdays. On the weekends I only work in the mornings, so I am available in the afternoon and evenings. I am respectful, and will follow any rules about your household to a T. I am willing to play with and keep your pet company for however long you would like. I enjoy spending time with animals :)
“My dog knew the minute he met Adara that THIS was a dog person, and he had found his new walker. During the meet-and-greet, I learned about Adara's qualifications and studies toward pet care and training, and I was thoroughly impressed. My dog was bananas to meet Adara, and they clearly had a wonderful time on their walk together today. My dog returned exhausted and happy, which makes me peaceful and happy! Thanks, Adara! We'll see you again soon!”

About: I’ve been caring for animals since I was a preteen, and they’ve always been a huge part of my life. I grew up with three large dogs and a cat, and today I’m a proud cat mom to my playful orange tabby, Mr. Binx. Over the years, I’ve cared for pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities. My experience includes energetic puppies who need plenty of exercise and patience, large and small breed dogs, as well as senior dogs who require consistent routines, early morning walks, and timely medication. I’m comfortable following detailed care instructions to ensure every pet stays happy, healthy, and on schedule. I’m equally experienced with cats, from shy or grumpy kitties who need a calm, gentle approach to affectionate companions who love attention. I’ve also cared for senior cats who require medication, regular litter box monitoring, and extra patience and comfort. I understand that every pet is unique, and I always take the time to learn their routine, personality, and needs. My goal is to make them feel safe, loved, and as comfortable as possible while you’re away—so you can have peace of mind knowing they’re in caring, dependable hands. I currently have plenty of time and flexibility to dedicate to caring for your fur babies day or night. I’m looking forward to filling my days with extra cuddles, companionship, and providing loving care while you’re away! When caring for your pets in your home, I treat your space with the same respect and care I would want for my own. I have experience staying in other people’s homes for extended periods, including multiple weeks and over a month, while providing consistent and loving care for their pets. I come prepared with my own pillow, blanket, and meals so I can be fully self-sufficient while respecting your home. Before an extended stay, I would love to meet you and your pets at least twice to build trust, learn their routine, and understand their unique needs. I’m experienced with administering oral medications and caring for pets with additional needs. My goal is to keep your pets comfortable and stress-free by following their normal routine, providing regular updates, and giving them the same love and attention I give my own.
“Sydney went above and beyond with communication, both before and during the booking. And of course took great care of our pup. We appreciate the care she provided during the booking.”

“Dale did a great job with Lewie! Lewie was happy to see him every day and was comfortable with him on their walks. We were at ease knowing Lewie was in good hands while we were away. We will look forward to having him walk Lewie in the future.”

“I was not sure what I expected out of this but even if I had the highest hopes, Chanay is incredible!! The weight this takes off of me is huge, it certainly is a dopamine jolt that gets me through my 13 hour work days… truly amazing”

About: I have been around animals, both dogs and cats, for most of my life, so I know what goes into taking care of them (even the ones who need a little extra help). I am currently freelance and remote, so I am able to change my schedule around to suite the needs of both you and your pet. I am able to travel to your home either overnight or for drop-in care whenever needed. I will follow all set rules about whatever space I use to a T.
About: Hi! I’ve spent my whole life caring for and loving animals of all kinds. I’ve had the wonderful experience of fostering through the Oregon Humane Society for many years now, caring for everyone from expecting moms to newborn litters and pets needing extra patience and attention. I provide attentive, reliable in-home care focused on keeping your pets comfortable, safe, and relaxed while you’re away. Maintaining their normal routines, habits, and environment is always a priority so things feel as familiar and stress-free as possible. I’m calm, detail-oriented, and highly respectful of both your home and your pet’s specific needs. I also have experience caring for cats with unique personalities, medical needs, and specialized routines. You can expect consistent communication, thoughtful updates, and plenty of care and affection. Your pets’ comfort and well-being are always my priority. 🐾 I include adorable, personalized pet report cards after each visit so you never miss a moment 💌 Whether it’s zoomies, cuddles, or mischief—I’ll keep you updated in a fun and meaningful way. My schedule is flexible, and I’m available most days, including weeknights and weekends. I’m happy to work with you, your pet’s routine and specific needs. I care for pets in their own home with a focus on maintaining their normal routines, comfort, and sense of security. I follow all care instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise needs, and household preferences. I treat every home with the same respect and care I would expect for my own, and I prioritize safety, consistency, and clear communication at all times.

About: I've had cats, dogs, fish, and rodents, and would love to share my time with even more beloved pets! I worked at a vet clinic for awhile, so safety will be my number one priority. I currently volunteer with a local cat rescue. I even worked with a wildlife rehabilitation center a few years ago, so no animal would be outside my comfort zone, although I have little experience with reptiles. I work full time during the week, but will have about 45 minutes to devote to your furry friend around midday! I am flexible before and after my job, and am often available during weekend days and holidays. I will not offer boarding services, however, I am happy to schedule my time around your fur baby to ensure that they get the love and care they deserve! I am comfortable caring for (feeding, walking, brushing, etc.) and medicating (with instruction) dogs and cats, if necessary!
“Nour is great. Our little pup is very happy to hang out with her. She shows up on time and has even spent a little extra little bit of effort to play with our dog. Would highly recommend Nour to others and will be scheduling with her again.”

“Extremely happy to have met Andre and McKenzie. Andre showed up on time and took Miley out for her morning walk. Miley was a little nervous at first, but what girl isn’t on a first date. She quickly settled in and off they went for a grand adventure. Their afternoon walk also went smoothly as Miley wasn’t so nervous and was ready to go with just a slight hesitation. I suspect Miley, Andre and McKenzie will be off on more adventures in the future. As for me, I very cautious with who cares for Miley, I couldn’t be happier with my choice. We will be repeat customers.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
