About: I’ve taken care of cats since I was 18 years olds for friends and family. Growing up my mother was allergic to cats so unfortunately I have never had the pleasure of having (but that will hopefully change soon!!) I love giving them attention when they want it, and have given oral medications.

About: Dogs have been a part of my life for more than 15 years, and caring for them is something I’ve always felt naturally connected to. I’ve raised my own dogs, supported pups with all kinds of personalities and needs, and spent several years as a dog foster — giving dogs a safe, loving place to land while they waited for their forever homes. That experience taught me how to read canine behavior, build trust quickly, and create a calm, structured environment where dogs feel secure. Whether it’s a high‑energy dog who loves adventure or a shy pup who needs patience and reassurance, I’m comfortable meeting them exactly where they are. My home is set up with ramps and steps to help small dogs and mobility‑challenged pups move around safely and comfortably along with a stroller for long neighborhood walks. My goal as a sitter is simple: keep your dog happy, safe, and relaxed while you’re away, and give you complete peace of mind knowing they’re in caring hands. I work from home. Mid-day walks at lunch time everyday unless weather is hot, then early morning walks. Weekends usually allow for longer walks and the occasional hiking adventure. I like taking my pups to the Jenkins Estate. It is heavily wooded and not usually busy. Making it easy to walk with multiple dogs. I have a fenced in backyard that can be segmented into two if needed. A doggy door for medium sized pups for quick and easy access. If your pup is not familiar with one, I will work on some simple training to encourage and get them use to using one. Plenty of doggy toys for aggressive/heavy chewers. Nylabones, kongs, rubber toys and rope. Sorry, no fluffy/squeaky toys, my oldest can destroy the toughest in under 6 minutes. Home is air conditioned. Floors are waterproof vinyl plank flooring, and all couches and beds are covered with waterproof blankets incase of any accidents or simply messy dogs. My oldest pup likes to take dirt baths much to my chagrin. There is a small kiddie pool available for those hot days. Two crates are available for any pups that may need it. And plenty of baby gates to segment/separate as needed. My house has been puppy proofed once before, and can be if requested. And additional third-party insurance to cover any emergencies.

Before losing him in the fall of 2023, I raised and cared for my dog, Chaps, for 12 years. It was a great 12 years, and I loved spending time training him. "Sit" and "down" are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the tricks Chaps could do. I am very comfortable with pets of all sizes. I am also comfortable taking care of most any special needs your pet may have. Tell me what you and your pet like, and I will do my best to provide an experience just the way you, and they, like it! Our backyard is dog-safe with a 6-foot privacy fence and access to a maintained yard with grass. Following your instructions and having the ability to communicate will provide a sense of security for you and helps me to give the best experience for your pet if I have questions about your pet’s care while you’re away. Yes, we are one of those crazy furparents. and we are very thankful that we found Heather, who have treated Maxine and Callie with much love and care. We were able to go out and have fun without worrying. Heather sent us pictures and updated us often. On top of this, she was very helpful in giving us tips on where to go and dine in Portland since it was our first time in the city. “Saawan and Kangna were the best!! Our corgi is a lot to handle sometimes, being a high energy breed, with his barking, and corgi habits. And they did such a great job with him. He came home happy and tired. We loved the regular updates they sent and were so happy to see pictures always popping up while we were on our trip. We loved their communications and flexibility when we had a 5 minute delay picking up. We will sure be adding Saawan and Kangna to the top of our list for sitters.”

“Mark was very kind and did a meet with our pup ahead of time to make sure it was a good fit. A family member watched our pup for the first part of our vacation and had an easy time dropping our pup off with Mark afterward. He sent photos throughout and Poppy came home a happy pup.”
“This was the first time we boarded our very energetic nine-month-old puppy. Cristina did such a great job with him and we felt very comfortable leaving Jackson with her for multiple nights. She took him to the dog park, on walks, played with him in her yard, and engaged him in play with other dogs she was watching while he stayed with her. She also let him sleep in her bed, which is what he is used to at home. When we picked him up, he was exhausted and content. We will definitely be using Cristina again and recommend her 110%!”
