About: I’ve had pets since I was born. I can care for cats and dogs. I personally have a 110 lb dog, so giant dogs don’t bother me. I’ve spent two weeks house sitting for family friends before to care for there couple labs. I’m currently in college part time with online classes, I have tons of flexibility with my time. I can wake up early to walk your pets, since how hot it has been lately. I have a 110 lb Pitt-bull mastiff mix that I walk daily, and care since she is my fur baby. I understand how people will react to big dogs on walks and I have the ability to control a big dog is startled or provoked.

About: What sets me apart from others is that I will spend quality time getting to know the pet and his/her individual needs. Building a trusting relationship with the animal is of the upmost importance. My weekly schedule will allow for me to be available to work providing pet care services 20-30 hours a week. Along with being reliable I am also willing to be flexible. Again, I get to know the animal and his/her needs while honoring the instructions and guidance from the owner. Establishing a solid, trusting relationship with the pet and its owner allows for a positive experience for all involved.
About: I’ve worked with dogs since I was a child. I’ve been exposed to large dog breeds (ex. Rottweilers & German Shepherds) as well as small dog breeds (ex. corgis & dachshund's). I am a certified dog trainer, with 9 years experience and can work in some Basic Obedience work with your dog during their stay or we can talk about some behavior modification and steps to move forward for private lessons. I currently work part time and have plenty of time and energy to work with and take care of your pup. I work with my own dogs twice a day but those sessions are very flexible. I don’t currently have a fully fenced in yard, but I have access to 5 private acres I can walk your pup on a long line. I utilize martingale collars to prevent any mishaps or escaping. I utilize positive reinforcement to connect and have clear communication with each dog I interact with.
“Adara was amazing with both of my dogs. They worked on loose leash walking with my younger boy (he likes to pull), and sent very detailed notes after their walks. Thank you!”

“Elizabeth was incredible with my two boys! I am so grateful to have them in such capable hands while I was away. She was prompt, played/loved them, and sent pictures! Thank you thank you!”

“Chelsea gave all the best first impressions. She understood Raymond extremely well and was attentive to the support I needed. I'm so thankful we met and excited to keep working with her.”

About: I use to work at a doggy daycare and took care of 15-20 dogs at a time. We also provided boarding services so I was in charge of daily walks, playtime, cleanup and food schedules. I was able to care for a variety of dogs with different needs As a single mom working part-time, pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine. My flexible schedule allows me to balance quality time with my child and the pets I care for, creating a loving and nurturing environment for everyone. While my child is at school or during my free hours, I dedicate focused attention to walking, playing, feeding, and ensuring the well-being of the pets in my care When caring for pets in a client’s home, safety, trust, and a nurturing environment are my top priorities. I treat every home and pet with the utmost respect, ensuring their routines, spaces, and boundaries are maintained. From securing doors and gates to adhering to feeding and exercise schedules, I prioritize safety and reliability in every task. Building trust with both pets and their owners is essential. I take the time to understand each pet’s unique personality and needs, providing attentive, loving care that mirrors their owner’s approach. Open communication is key—I keep clients informed with updates and photos, so they always feel connected and reassured. Most importantly, I create a stress-free and comforting environment for pets, ensuring they feel safe and happy while their owners are away. Whether it’s extra cuddles, playtime, or simply being a calm presence, I’m dedicated to making every visit a positive experience for both pets and their families

About: Hi there! I am someone who genuinely loves animals and understands how important it is to find a sitter you can fully trust with your pet. Pets are part of our family! I approach pet sitting with patience, consistency, and communication with owners. I adapt my care style to match every pets personality and energy. I am comfortable working with younger pets who need calm guidance and stimulation as well as older seniors who may need a slower pace, extra patience, medication and low stress environment. I know trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, I aim to provide the same level of care and attention I would want for my own animals! I have a very open and flexible schedule! You can highly expect me to accept times and dates requested through the app. I expect my schedule to stay this consistent for at least the next 4-5 months. I currently have 2 cats at home and would not be able to take in pets but am more than willing to drive to take care of pets in the comfort of their own home! I take time to understand each pets needs, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, etc. I aim to create a low-stress, caring environment while treating your home with respect and keeping you updated with regular messages and photos so you can feel at ease while you’re away.

About: I have been a pet sitter for cats and dogs -- My friends tend to rely on me to take care of their furry friends while they are away! I have more experience in working with medium and smaller dogs/ cats. If you will hire me to be a sitter, I will not stay at your house, but I will make sure your furry friend is doing great! I am currently a full-time worker at a physical therapy clinic, but my evenings are free to give your pup a good walk so they can sleep through the night! If they are not looking for a long walk, I am great company and enjoy caring for your furry friend. I have guinea pigs at home, and although I am busy during the day, I find time to take care of them and make sure their enclosure is clean and livable. -- When caring for my friends' furry pets, I make sure that they are receiving what they need when I am there, leaving them as comfortable as possible, and updating my clients on what I did and how their furry friend is doing. Communication is key to my work.

About: I have been around pets my whole life! Currently I have two cats as well as two dogs and a pigeon. I am passionate about caring for them, as well as training and giving them the best lives possible. I am currently not working, so I have tons of time to care for your pets. I am available all day weekdays, and not available for boarding on weekends. We have a very large fenced in yard, tons of room to run around. Our dogs sleep in a separate room, and I can crate your dogs if desired. If there are any dogs not getting along, I can easily separate them and keep them separated while still letting them have fun.

“Ron is fantastic with our highly energetic Corgi! He's reliable and incredibly patient, and he never seems phased by his energy. You can tell Ron puts his whole heart into it. We've noticed a real difference in his mood and energy levels since we started using Ron, and we couldn't recommend him more highly.”

“We keep returning Sarah for several reasons. She is super reliable. She also has our pets hearts. She really cares for them and it shows in the quality and time she spends with them. Our younger dog who needs his exersise loves her to bits and waits at the front window for her. He just really enjoys her company, plain and simple. We feel so fortunate that she is nearby and will adjust her schedule to be there for our dogs.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
