Dogs have always been a big part of my life, and my priority is creating a calm, safe environment where they feel comfortable, secure, and genuinely cared for. I offer home-based dog care in a quiet rural setting on 1.5 acres. We have a fenced yard that’s dug into the ground for dogs who like to dig, so they can explore safely. There’s plenty of room to sniff, run, and enjoy being outside, and most dogs end up relaxing under the apple tree at some point during their stay. I’ve cared for puppies, adult dogs, seniors, and dogs who need a little extra patience or support. I’m comfortable following specific routines, adjusting care based on individual needs, and keeping things calm and structured so dogs feel secure. I know how hard it can be to leave your dog with someone else. I have dogs of my own, and I treat every dog here the way I’d want mine cared for — with attention, patience, and respect and lots of love and cuddles I live with family, dogs are part of our everyday life. Someone is always home, so dogs are never left alone. I’m home most of the day, and if I need to step out briefly, someone else is here with the dogs. It keeps things calm and steady for them. I don’t take many dogs at once — I like being able to give each dog one-on-one attention and keep things calm. Pet care fits naturally into my day since I spend most of my time at home with my dogs. I’m very hands-on and around throughout the day. Dogs get regular outdoor breaks, calm indoor time, play, and rest spread out over the day. They’re never left alone for long periods, and even if I need to step out briefly, someone is always home with them. Because I only take a few dogs at a time, I’m able to stay involved in their routine and give them consistent attention throughout the day. Dogs stay inside my home and are treated like part of the family. If your dog is used to relaxing on the couch or staying close by, that’s welcome here. I also have crates available for dogs who do better with structure or quiet time. Crates are used for a dog’s comfort and safety, never as punishment. Care is always adjusted to what helps each dog feel most secure. I have experience caring for dogs who need extra support, including dogs recovering from injuries or needing limited activity. When needed, I use an indoor playpen so a dog can rest safely while still being near me and included in the home environment. My dogs enjoy being around other dogs but are also respectful of dogs who prefer a calmer pace. They read body language well and give space when needed. Dogs may be together or separated depending on what’s safest and best for each individual dog. All dogs are closely supervised at all times. Counter-surfing is actively prevented, and food or treats are never left unattended. I keep a clean, calm environment using dog-safe cleaning products.

About: Before I ever owned a dog myself, I used to knock on my neighbor's door asking if I could walk their Golden Retriever. At the age of seven, I finally got my own dog and have loved spending time with dogs ever since. My wife and I are currently working from home and have very flexible schedules. Pet care is part of our everyday life. Our two high-energy dogs keep us active with walks, runs, and outdoor play, and we are very familiar with managing detailed feeding and supplement routines. We will follow your pet’s routine closely so they feel comfortable and secure. We will also stick to your rules for feeding, exercise, and care, just like we do with our own dogs.

About: I’ve always had dogs in my life and I love them oh so dearly! I’ve stayed in homes of family friend dog owners for a few years now, mostly just taking care of the dogs and going on walks, as well as watering plants when needed. I’m not much of a cat person, I didn’t grow up with cats but I can do what is needed of me. I work part time, around 25 hours a week so I’ll have plenty of time to hang out with your babies and make sure they are well taken care of. I will care for your baby in your own home where they have all their favorite toys and comfort spots. I will take them for walks and give them all the snuggles they need!

About: Being raised on a small farm, there have always been cats & dogs around to share in the ups & downs of life. I love leaning into each individual's personality and working with positive reenforcement to catch the animals doing good behavior! I have experience training/working with dogs of all ages. Sometimes our furry friends need extra care. I am experienced in oral medicine administration, wound care, ear & eye treatments (if need be)! I am available for pet care on a daily basis. I care for my cats & dog daily. If ever I need backup support, I have a network of folks willing to lend a hand. When pet sitting, I follow the instructions given by the owner regarding when to feed, how much food, how often they need to go outside. Beyond that, I typically tidy up the space every evening, sweeping/vacuuming, refreshing waters, etc. I try to develop a routine so that the animals know what to expect and can relax into a sense of order. I generally find ways that each animal likes to play and find games that are fun and rewarding.

About: I have been an animal lover since a young age, and have been caring for dogs since 2011. I have experience with both puppies and senior dogs, and all ages in between. I have experience in training my own dogs and in practicing commands as asked when puppy-sitting. I've even trained my cat to give high-fives! I also have experience in administering medication, both oral meds as well as eyedrops. Our 14 year old labradoodle gets eyedrops twice daily, which I administer. I bond easily with animals and love dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes! I love getting to know animals, and have a knack for bonding with anxious, shy animals. I am also okay with brushing and bathing, etc., as asked if needed. I am typically available all day on the weekends and most Tuesdays and Thursdays. I am in grad school for the next two years in Forest Grove and classes occur around 9am-4pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I may have time for quick home visits for potty breaks during lunch on these days, if needed. I am happy to spend quiet time with pets who are more mellow, or to spend time playing or walking with energetic, younger dogs if that suits them best. I typically observe the dog's behavior and notes from the owner when deciding what to do- are they looking tired and calm? Are they a bit riled up and could use a playtime or a walk? I will follow any instructions left by the owners, as well. If there is anything specific or special you'd like me to do for your pets, just let me know!

About: I’ve taken care of many different types of dogs, I have grown up with dogs, and have taken care of my friends, family, and neighbors dogs. I’m currently a masters student at Portland State University, but I only have class on Wednesday and Thursdays so my schedule is very open. Other than school, I can get school work and other work done from home. I am easily adaptable, so whatever your dogs routine is I will be happy to follow any instructions given. I will make sure your fur baby is comfortable and happy throughout the entire stay.

And their farm animals as well. Also have experience from the Army training tracking and guard dogs. I am a retired latter carrier and a disabled Army Veteran. I have all the time in the world to devote to caring for your pets when needed. Particularly with dogs during the day. Walking is great for your dog and gets me the exercise that I need. It's a win-win. And it's a plus that I get the hang around with dogs. , i currently do not have dogs or cats of my own. I do live in an apartment but I'm close to many parks and trails. I'm available for a client's home sitting as well and will always abide by the wishes of the client for their pets.
