About: Lifelong Animal Lover & Experienced Caregiver. I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life, raising everything from birds and turtles to cats and dogs. Today, I’m a proud pet parent to two gorgeous cats (ages 8 and 4) who mean the world to me. For the past several years, I have channeled my passion into professional pet sitting, hands-on shelter volunteering, and fostering—including raising a lively 4-month-old Doberman puppy. I have a massive heart for all animals and promise to treat your pets with the exact same deep love, safety, and dedicated care that I give my own. How Pet Care Fits Into My Routine Right now, I have the luxury of a completely open schedule! Since I’m currently between jobs, my days revolve entirely around pet care. Whether your cat or dog needs a mid-day play session, early morning feedings, or late-night cuddles, I can easily fit into their established routine. This flexibility also means I’m highly responsive and available for short-notice requests or extended daytime stays. Safety & Peace of Mind Your pet’s safety and your peace of mind are my top priorities. Thanks to my background volunteering in animal shelters and fostering, I am highly attuned to animal behavior and body language. I know how to spot stress early and ensure a calm, secure environment. My own home is entirely cat-proofed, smoke-free, and tailored to the comfort of my two resident cats. Whether in your home or mine, I am meticulous about keeping doors secure, maintaining strict hygiene (especially with litter boxes), and following your exact safety instructions. You will receive detailed updates and photos after every visit so you never have to worry.

About: I've loved dogs for as long as I can remember! As a teen and young adult, I would often offer to walk roommates' or friends' dogs because I enjoyed spending time with them. I’ve helped people and dogs of all sizes and ages, from puppies to senior dogs that need a bit more TLC. I developed an interest in dog psychology to better understand how they communicate which evolved into helping train friend's dogs until I adopted my own Staffordshire Terrier in 2014. When I adopted him, he was very weary of people and had a hard time socializing with dogs. Fast forward to now (and lots of lots of research into dog psychology and training), he's in a place where he enjoys meeting new people and other dogs! I'd love the opportunity to work with you and your pup(s)! I'm currently working a flexible part time schedule, so please reach out and let me know what you are looking for and let's make it work! Let me know how you take care of your pet and I will be happy to do the same! While new to Rover, watching, walking, training, and overall loving on dogs has always come easily to me. And as a dog owner myself, I know the importance of being confident that your dog (and home) is cared for in the way that they need when you're not around.
About: I grew up with animals my entire life ( including exotic and farm), volunteered at the wildlife rehab center, and local vet hospital throughout college. From cats, dogs, birds, snakes, lizards, newts, any furr or slimey critter that needs love and attention while you're away! Senior or adolescent I'm experienced with caring for any age, dietary, attention, or medications needs :) I'm a cancer survivor so caring for myself and pets its my job! I'm available to be a regular friendly face every week or supplement support when you have long days or stuck at work! I'm located right in downtown long beach and familiar with safe parks to take your pets to, or happy to entertain them at their home in a safe space :) I'm very attentive and adjust my approach according to your pets comfort.
About: With 10 years of dedicated pet care experience, I specialize in the extra attention required for puppies and senior dogs. I am highly experienced in managing puppy energy, maintaining potty training schedules, and reinforcing basic commands. For senior pets, I offer a calm environment and gentle companionship. Whether your pet needs a high-energy game of fetch or a quiet cuddle on the couch, I adapt my care to fit their unique personality and routine perfectly. I’m currently working in a school setting. I will be available after school hours. I will have more availability during school breaks. That would be holidays, spring, and summer. I would love taking them on walks. Depending on their energy or needs, it can be long or short. If there’s a park nearby I’d love to play fetch or run around with them. I always have treats on hand to reinforce basic commands.

I live with Hickory, my sweet 3-year-old husky–lab mix—he gets along with everyone, loves outdoor activities, and brings a calm, friendly energy to every dog he meets. I’ve helped neighbors, friends, and family with walks, feeding, playtime, and daily routines. I always make sure each pup feels safe, loved, and excited to be here! Whether your dog needs an energetic walk, extra playtime, or just some cozy company, I can easily fit their needs into my routine. I live in a cozy apartment with a private patio where dogs can relax, sniff around, and enjoy some fresh air in a safe space. About: Hello! My name is Chloe and I want to help you care for your dog (or cat)! I'm available to do drop-in visits with your pet and to take your dog on walks! My home is also open for doggy day-care! I've had pets my entire life (dogs and cats) and I’ve been a sitter/walker before. I love taking care of pets whether they're my own or yours! I love all animals, big or small. I've been around plenty of puppies and kittens so I know how to be gentle, effectively look after them, and give them the best care. I'm confident that your pets will love me! My schedule and availability are always changing as I am a therapist, so this section gets updated frequently. I have a dog of my own and she gets plenty of exercise and playtime despite my busy schedule. I will always follow your care plan for your pet. I am only comfortable with what you are comfortable with. Safety is of utmost importance to me when caring for your pet. In my home, my dog is crate trained and is never home alone outside of the crate or a safely enclosed room. My dog is a pittie mix so she requires an extensive skincare routine and has experienced minor health issues like an ear infection. I am comfortable administering ointments, creams, and medications if need be to your pet.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Long Beach
Raymond went above and beyond taking care of our dogs and made the whole experience so easy. He was very communicative, reliable, and great to work with, which gave us a lot of peace of mind while we were away. We really appreciated the extra care and attention he gave our pups and would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy dog sitter.
From the meet and greet through both visits, I felt like my kitties were in thoughtful, caring hands. I didn't worry once while I was gone. Colleen sent lovely photos from each visit, including one of my shyest cat making biscuits on day one! She was flexible with scheduling, and even took the trash out on trash day, which wasn't something I'd mentioned in my (very lengthy) cat-sitting notes. It was clear she'd actually taken the time to read them closely. I would absolutely rebook, and I highly recommend her for sitting your fur babies, they'll be very well taken care of.

Shelli is wonderful! Our pups have a new best friend and love having her come by and spend time with them. Shelli is super communicative, sends pictures throughout the day and takes amazing care of our pups. She came and did a meet-and-greet before her stay to make sure she had all of the info necessary - she's thorough and made me feel super safe and confident having her come and take care of them. Will for sure be using Shelli again and again! :)

Stephanie is amazing, we cannot say enough positive things about her and how well she cares for our cats. Her attention to the animals and energy is unmatched, you will not find a better companon and caretaker for your animals. Highly recommend her for all of your pet care needs.
Mahima did a great job taking care of my cat and making her feel very loved and comfortable during the time I was away. She show's a genuine compassion for animals, and I could understand from the updates she sent me about my cat's care, that my cat was happy. She also helped me out with an issue I was having with an electrical device in my home. I will definitely hire Mahima again and would recommend her to any pet owner. Thanks, Mahima!

Bethany did a great job looking after my cat and making her feel comfortable with her. She followed feeding and care instructions really well and send me a good amount of updates, from which I could tell my cat was very happy. Bethany also showed initiative and offered to help watering my plants which was an extra un-asked for bonus that was extremely helpful. I will definitely hire Bethany's pet sitting services again and recommend her to any pet owner. Thank you, Bethany!

Gabby was such a godsend! It was our first time using a pet sitting service and we could not have been happier with her. She answered all our first time questions and really made our trip stress free. Our cats did really well under her care and we’ll definitely use her services again.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
