About: I have been caring for dogs for over 40 years, off and on and for the last 6 years. I work part time from home and my teens are homeschooling so I have time at home to play and care for your loved ones. In my home, pets are family and they are treated as such! I have a big, enclosed backyard for lots of playtime fun and doggy door access from the house so they have plenty of places to roam and explore. I have 2 small dogs (Coco 5yrs. is a Pug Mix and Luna 4 yrs is a Pug), both rescues. Luna we raised from 3 months old. They love meeting new friends and playing in a pack! I have been using Rover myself, for almost eight years, whenever we go on vacation and I love this service! My dogs have so much fun when they are away with their sitter family and I want to help other dogs and families feel the same peace of mind while they are away! I am lucky enough to be able to work part time from home and assist my homeschooling teens. Because I am home everyday, I make time to get outside often. I include all of the dogs in our playtime and the more, the merrier! I live in a house with a fenced in backyard. I have easy access to the backyard with a doggy door. I allow dogs on our furniture. They are part of the family, after all. My home is dog proof and I gate off areas they are not allowed, such as kids rooms. Dogs sleep in my room, either in a dog bed or kennel, whatever you prefer. I have extra beds & blankets as well. We spend time doing outdoor play a few times a day.

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was basically a kid, and yes — your dog will become obsessed with me. I’m reliable, patient, and great with pets who need extra attention, belly rubs, or a hype-woman on walks. I’m a full-time student, but my fall semester is ending, so I’ll have plenty of time for your pets. I’m available most days for walks or drop-ins. I only do in-home care, so your pet gets to stay in their own comfy space. I’m hypervigilant, gentle, and big on routines—I keep doors secure, follow instructions, and treat your home and pet with respect.
“I recently had the pleasure of hiring Pearl to take care of my cat Maia while I was away, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. From the moment we met, I could tell that she was a true animal lover. Her professionalism and genuine care for my fur baby were evident throughout her entire stay. One of the standout aspects of Pearl’s service was her proactive communication. During my first booking, she sent me daily updates and photos of my cat, which was incredibly reassuring. It was wonderful to see my shy cat starting to warm up to her, a testament to Pearl’s gentle and patient approach. During this most recent booking, Pearl helped coordinate with my house sitter to make sure Maia was fed and well loved when I was away. Normally, Maia is very reserved around new people, but she seemed comfortable and even happy in the photos I received. Moreover, Pearl was very respectful of my home. She left everything in perfect condition, just as I had left it. It's clear that she takes her responsibilities seriously and goes above and beyond to ensure both pets and owners are satisfied. I highly recommend Pearl to anyone in need of a reliable, caring, and attentive pet sitter. Her dedication and love for animals shine through in her work, and I will definitely be booking her services again in the future. Thank you, Pearl, for taking such wonderful care of Miss Maia!”

“Im grateful to have had Donny take care of our cats while we were away! He’s truly a cat whisperer—taking the time to get to know each cat individually and remembering all their unique quirks and preferences. It’s clear he genuinely cares for them, and our cats were comfortable in his hands. Donny would always send us regular updates and photos, which gave us peace of mind and made us feel connected even from afar. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for a thoughtful and reliable cat sitter!”

“Perla is the best. It’s hard to leave my fur babies when I travel but knowing I have someone that takes such good care of them, makes me feel less guilty about leaving them.”

“Have been using him for dog sitting for months now and have now also had him drop in to say hi to our bird and cat. Always very pleased with his care! My dog is older and has special needs, in addition to pretty bad separation anxiety. My dog doesn't put up much of a fuss going to his house, which is a testament to how much he likes Armando, his wife, and Buddah! He was also very accomodating with the drop in visit- we had set up the TV to play while we were gone and it messed up, but he was willing to follow the instructions we sent to fix it so that the animals can have entertainment again! Very thankful to have found such a caring and quality sitter.”

I would like to spend that down time caring for pets. My pets are family at my home. All pets are welcomed and treated as family. Home has a big yard for pets to be outside or spend time with me at home.
About: Though I do not have as much reviews as the other rovers on this app, I did want to give a bit of my background to whoever is curious about choosing me. I am a former student that attended Humboldt State University, and graduated during the year 2020 with my bachelors of science degree in zoology. During that same year, I made a quick decision to join a veterinarian assistant program because I knew if I wanted to be a part of the veterinarian field, I needed to have experience with handling animals. And the funny thing is the only experience I had at that moment was dealing with my boyfriend’s animals, small rodents, and occasionally volunteering at thr shelter where I was attending college. So I will tell you, I was not experienced in 2020. But this veterinarian assistant program did have 200 hours of interning that was mandatory. And during that mandatory internship at the site that I was interning, they gave me my first job working with animals. So currently I have been working at camp formerly known as SNPLA in San Pedro. I have been working here for a year and a half. But wait, there’s more! During the year 2022 I thought working with camp wasn’t enough. Small animal medicine is fun, but I always wanted to work alongside wild animals. So I decided to do another internship. This internship was done at the Marine mammal Center, in San Pedro which is a rehabilitation facility for seals and sea lions. I will definitely say this internship open my eyes to the possibilities of veterinarian medicine. Now that I’m done giving you a small background of my animal experience, I would say that I am more confident with handling animals than I was in 2020 but I am nowhere near proficient because I am actively still learning. Every animal is different and some take more time to warm up to you than others. As I said, I may not have as many reviews, but I’m working on becoming the best caretaker that I can be to animals. Also, my current goal is applying to vet school because I’ve always wanted to become a veterinarian. I love learning about animals and I know that I was put on this earth to help the animals that are in need. So if you want me to take care of your fur baby, please don’t be shy and message me. Thank You! I currently work as relief technician due to having a baby. So my availability is very flexible. I prefer overnight work so I can still have a daytime to be with my child. So all housesitting will be night time if you’re OK with that. For daycare at my place the time doesn’t matte. I do have a fenced yard that your pet can wander around and I do have an outdoor cat enclosure. there are other pets in the house. One German Shepherd, and four cats. Two of the cats are mine and the other two are my mother-in-law‘s. My mother-in-law‘s cat stay in their own space and I can’t stay in there. The dog has free access to water around the house and out in the backyard. Other than the animals there is a child and if your pet is friendly.
About: Hiiiii! I’m Taylor — a lifelong dog and cat mom with a true passion for giving pets the individualized care they deserve. I’ve had dogs and cats for as long as I can remember, and for the past decade of adulthood I’ve always owned at least one of each. I’m extremely comfortable with all ages, personalities, and care needs. I have extensive experience with senior and medically fragile pets. I cared for my senior cat (Mariah Kitty like Mariah Carey) with stage 4 kidney disease for 6 months, administering fluids, medications, and daily monitoring until she passed. Because of that experience, I’m very confident with special instructions, routines, and gentle medical care. I currently care for two purebred pets with specific needs — a corgi with early-onset arthritis and a Persian cat who requires regular eye cleaning, coat upkeep, and hygiene care (you know what I mean by hygiene care if you have a long haired pet..). This has taught me patience, detail-oriented care, and how to keep pets calm and comfortable even when tasks aren’t their favorite. Whether your pet needs slow walks, daily medication, extra brushing, enrichment, or just someone loving and reliable to hang out with them, I’d love love LOVE to help. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pets with someone, and I treat every animal I watch like one of my own. I was recently laid off so other than trips to go visit my family out of state and job searching, I am available to care for pets morning to evening! I can wake up early and stay up late if your family needs it. I provide care in your home only, so your pets can stay in their familiar environment and routine. I always adapt to whatever schedule, rules, and preferences your pet is used to — meals, walks, medications, potty breaks, playtime, crate time, bedtime routines, and anything else you need. For house sitting: I maintain your pet’s normal daily rhythm and keep your home clean, safe, and secure. I give plenty of companionship, enrichment, and calm presence, especially for pets with anxiety or special needs. They can feel when our energy is off you know? For drop-in visits: I make sure your pet gets bathroom breaks, fresh food and water, medication if needed, and lots of attention. I also handle small things like litter scooping, brushing, basic cleaning, and photo updates so you always know how your pet is doing. I promise I will send you the BEST content while you're missing them! For dog walking: I tailor the walk to your dog’s age, speed, and mobility — whether they need a slow stroll, a structured walk, or a little extra exercise. Safety is always the priority, and I keep your dog on-leash unless you specify otherwise. My goal is to make your pets feel comfortable and cared for while giving you complete peace of mind.

About: I absolutely love all animals. I currently have 2 dogs and many step-dogs/cats that I take care of on a regular basis. All my friends and family know that if I take care of their pets they will be well taken care of, maybe a bit spoiled. I believe dogs/cats deserve love and attention at least once or twice a day. A tired dog is an happy dog and purring cat is a happy cat. I am retired and love to walk. I love to be outside. It brings me joy to spend my time loving on animals of any kind. My dogs roam free in my home. Yes they are allowed on furniture and bed. They are well trained, have recall and manners, they are crate trained.
“Truly incredible - responsive, sent lots of pictures, and went over and above to make sure our cats were well taken care of. Also just a really fun person to talk with and clearly loves animals!! :) Would not hesitate to hire again!”

The best sitter ever!! Took great care of our two cats and our home. We are new to the neighborhood and this was our first time away for an extended period. Vasiliki went above and beyond to keep our kitties comfortable. She even cleaned up after them when they left a hairball or tracked litter. She sent us cute pics every visit and spent time snuggling and playing with our cats. My shy one even warmed up to her by the end of the trip. Would recommend to anyone! 😻

Liana was a wonderful cat sitter! She stopped by every day to check on our cat, made sure she was well-fed and happy, and gave her plenty of attention. We came home to a calm and content cat. Always a great sign. Reliable, communicative, and caring. Highly recommend!

My cats immediately loved Olu. While they like company, there’s been very few people they want to run up to and give kisses and cuddles. I knew my cats had an excellent guardian, which made my trip even more relaxing. I loved getting kitty updates. I had a great time visiting with Olu and going over everything. She’s very thorough and caring and she does reiki on people and pets! One of my cats came from a very traumatic start in life. He’s let go of a lot of it but the reiki was such a benefit to both of them, especially him. I can see a big reduction in him bullying my other cat. They both seem more relaxed and happy after their sessions. Thank you for everything!
