Absolutely the best cat sitter who has watched our cat numerous times! From the very first day, Ivy was professional, incredibly organized, caring and communicative. We received wonderful daily updates and pictures that showed our cat was completely relaxed and happy. It gave us total peace of mind while we were away. Our home was left completely clean and tidy, and our fur baby was perfectly cared for. We will absolutely be booking Ivy again and highly recommend her services to any pet parent!

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs for 6 years, my own dog, my brother’s 2 dogs, chicken and cats. I trained my dog from just YouTube and he is perfect. I’ve started to watch my neighbors dogs this summer, going for long walk and regular care. I’m currently on summer break so I have too much free time. I spend my days at the mall or at my brothers house volunteering to watch his dogs, even when it’s just for an hour. I have a fenced area and I’m very strong and fast so I can catch any dog if somehow the leash magically disappears. At home the door stays locked.

About: Hiii! I’m Marlena. I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life, so they’ve always been a huge part of my life. Over the years, I’ve grown such a strong love for taking care of animals. I have experience with both larger dogs and really small dogs, and I’m good at picking up on their body language and little signs so I can understand what they need. I’ll always make sure your pup feels safe, loved, and well taken care of while they’re with me! I’m currently offering part-time walks while starting my senior year of high school. I’m available after 3 PM on weekdays and all day on weekends, allowing me to give pets the time, attention, and care they deserve. Your pet’s safety is always my top priority during walks. I pay close attention to my surroundings, keep pets securely leashed, avoid unsafe areas, and make sure each walk is comfortable, safe, and enjoyable for your dog.

This was my first time using Rover, and it was hands down the BEST experience I could have asked for, especially with Chris caring for my dog & cat! 🐾 Chris has incredible communication skills and kept me updated every step of the way, which gave me so much peace of mind :) He is also extremely punctual and reliable, especially when it comes to feeding and walking schedules, which meant everything to me & more. The level of love and care he showed my animals was truly top notch. He followed every instruction perfectly and still found ways to go above and beyond in so many thoughtful ways. For the first time in a very long time, I was actually able to relax and disconnect from “pet mom mode” because I knew my animals were being cared for exactly how I would care for them, if not even better. I also loved the pictures Chris sent, you could genuinely see how much fun my pets were having with him, and somehow he even got my cat to come out and play, which says everything. If you’re thinking about booking with Chris, do it!!! You’ll thank me later & your pets will gain a new best friend 🐾

My empathetic nature makes me well-suited to take care of your beloved pups. I am currently working part-time, so walking your pups would be more than just a job—it would be a hobby that allows me to spend time with beautiful animals. Safety, trust, and creating a comfortable environment are top priorities in my pet care approach. Whether caring for pets in my own home or at a client's residence, I ensure a secure environment by implementing measures such as regular safety checks, secure enclosures, and pet-proofing spaces. About: I’ve always been a dog person! I grew up around animals and have had both cats and dogs my whole life. For the past 14 years, I’ve also cared for friends’, family members’, and neighbors’ pets, so I’m experienced with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. I love getting outside for walks—whether it’s a quick neighborhood stroll or a longer adventure, whatever is best for your pup. I had a baby in February, and we’ve made daily walks and hikes part of our routine. Since losing my own dog in May, I’ve really missed having a furry walking companion. I’ll typically have my baby with me, either in a stroller or baby carrier, so your dog will need to be comfortable around babies. I’m reliable, patient, and will treat your dog like my own. I’ll always make sure they get plenty of exercise, attention, and love, and I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you know they’re having a great time. I’m currently a stay-at-home mom, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of availability for pet care. I’m able to provide walks, check-ins, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. I love having animals as part of my routine and enjoy making sure they get the attention, exercise, and care they need. I only offer pet care in the client’s home, as I have a cat of my own who prefers being the only furry friend in the house. In your home, I’ll make sure your pet feels comfortable and cared for by providing lots of love, feeding, walks, playtime, and attention. I’ll also help keep things tidy along the way so your home is just as you left it.

About: I’ve lived with dogs and cats almost my entire life and I know how to take care of them well and make them feel happy and safe! I live in an apartment with my family, we all love pets and equally experienced with taking care of them :) Note: This account is owned by me, Nabil Abdelsayed, but often times when I’m unavailable a family member helps out. I will always make sure to specify who will be taking care of your pet and a meeting could always be arranged beforehand. I’m free all day and I’d be more than happy to take your pet in! If there happens to be any reason that I am not free I will update my schedule. I will make sure your pet feels safe and happy here, and provide them anything that they need. I live with 3 cats and 1 dog, they all get along and I’d be more than happy to look after your pet as well!

My cats immediately loved Olu. While they like company, there’s been very few people they want to run up to and give kisses and cuddles. I knew my cats had an excellent guardian, which made my trip even more relaxing. I loved getting kitty updates. I had a great time visiting with Olu and going over everything. She’s very thorough and caring and she does reiki on people and pets! One of my cats came from a very traumatic start in life. He’s let go of a lot of it but the reiki was such a benefit to both of them, especially him. I can see a big reduction in him bullying my other cat. They both seem more relaxed and happy after their sessions. Thank you for everything!

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Wilmington stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
