About: Ever since I was little, I always wanted to become a vet so I can care for dog and cat . I believe being a sitter is really close to that dream. My skills are being patient with your pup and making sure they leave home with happy tail . I’m currently working as a part-time and also a student in the morning. During the week, I only get called twice. So after school, I have a lot of free time on my hands. I would like to use that time to help out you out make your doggy happy when you are busy. I will take care of them as they were my own dogs. I will also reassure their safety and communicate if there’s anything wrong with your pet.

“Im grateful to have had Donny take care of our cats while we were away! He’s truly a cat whisperer—taking the time to get to know each cat individually and remembering all their unique quirks and preferences. It’s clear he genuinely cares for them, and our cats were comfortable in his hands. Donny would always send us regular updates and photos, which gave us peace of mind and made us feel connected even from afar. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for a thoughtful and reliable cat sitter!”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs for 6 years, my own dog, my brother’s 2 dogs, chicken and cats. I trained my dog from just YouTube and he is perfect. I’ve started to watch my neighbors dogs this summer, going for long walk and regular care. I’m currently on summer break so I have too much free time. I spend my days at the mall or at my brothers house volunteering to watch his dogs, even when it’s just for an hour. I have a fenced area and I’m very strong and fast so I can catch any dog if somehow the leash magically disappears. At home the door stays locked.

“We can’t say enough about Elaine! She was very responsive from the very beginning and stayed on top on things 100%. She sent us daily reports and gave us updates about Pickles mood, behavior, and health. Great communication haves us peace of mind. We have a 14 yo cat. Even though she doesn’t require medical care, it need to be feed in small chucks. Elaine got the portions just right for the cat to eat without getting sick. She was very patient with Pickles, looked for her, and play with her to keep her as happy as possible. We recommend Elaine 100%.”

“Have been using him for dog sitting for months now and have now also had him drop in to say hi to our bird and cat. Always very pleased with his care! My dog is older and has special needs, in addition to pretty bad separation anxiety. My dog doesn't put up much of a fuss going to his house, which is a testament to how much he likes Armando, his wife, and Buddah! He was also very accomodating with the drop in visit- we had set up the TV to play while we were gone and it messed up, but he was willing to follow the instructions we sent to fix it so that the animals can have entertainment again! Very thankful to have found such a caring and quality sitter.”

About: I would be a great dog sitter for you not only because I LOVE all animals but also because I grew up owning two dogs, a Lab and a little Bichon, not to mention a cat and a snake. I currently have a dog and two cats I take care of daily. In high school I always took care of the neighbor's animals and houses while they were out of town. My friends now always call me if they need a sitter or just to give their dogs a walk while they're at work. My schedule is super flexible because I work from home. My love for animals and the fact that I am responsible and trustworthy makes me a perfect fit for you! I would love to meet your furbabies and do whatever I can to help! I work from home so I can be with your animals as much as needed! I have a room mate who will take care of my 3 animals here, which gives me the ability to give all the attention to yours! I can’t take pets into my home, but I can stay at yours full time, part time, or whatever is required! I love all animals and will treat them like my own babies.

I live in an apartment with my family, we all love pets and equally experienced with taking care of them :) Note: This account is owned by me, Nabil Abdelsayed, but often times when I’m unavailable a family member helps out. I will always make sure to specify who will be taking care of your pet and a meeting could always be arranged beforehand. I’m free all day and I’d be more than happy to take your pet in! If there happens to be any reason that I am not free I will update my schedule. I will make sure your pet feels safe and happy here, and provide them anything that they need. My cats immediately loved Olu. While they like company, there’s been very few people they want to run up to and give kisses and cuddles. I knew my cats had an excellent guardian, which made my trip even more relaxing. I loved getting kitty updates. I had a great time visiting with Olu and going over everything. She’s very thorough and caring and she does reiki on people and pets! One of my cats came from a very traumatic start in life. He’s let go of a lot of it but the reiki was such a benefit to both of them, especially him. I can see a big reduction in him bullying my other cat. They both seem more relaxed and happy after their sessions. Thank you for everything!

The average cost for Cat Sitting in Wilmington on Rover is $21.09 per visit (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Cat Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Cat Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of September 2026, there are 9,170 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Wilmington. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wilmington. On Rover:

  • 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
