Every Dog Deserves Hero Treatment

NEW CLIENTS: We REQUIRE a meet a greet prior to confirming any service. *SUGGESTED Scheduling: Typically we recommend coordinating a meet and greet at least 2 weeks prior to your booking, as all meet and greet times are subject to availability. **Please make sure your pup is up to date on all required vaccinations (listed below). We also request that you limit as much as possible your dog’s visits to dog parks, dog beaches, and other large boarding facilities before your intended stay with us. If your dog is experiencing any of the symptoms (coughing, sneezing, eye or nose discharge, or abnormally tired) prior to their stay, please inform us ASAP and opt to keep your pup at home until they get better (in addition to taking them to the vet as soon as possible)! For the safety of my babies & my clients babies, I do request that your pup(s) are up to date on their vaccines (ONLY EXCEPTION: Written consent from your vet that states they recommend against a vaccine below for your pet due to age or health condition): -DPP with Adenovirus (Distemper, Parvovirus & Parainfluenza) 1 or 3-yr. vaccine required -Bordetella (Required at least 48 hours prior to check-in to ensure maximum efficiency and protection against Kennel Cough). -Rabies 1 or 3-yr. vaccine required -Canine Influenza (H3N8 and H3N2) -Leptospirosis Ready to schedule a Meet & Greet? McGinnis, our resident 'Doggie Interviewer,' will be there to help! My husband and I have spent lots of time training and socializing him, and he now plays a key role in helping us assess new furry guests and make sure everyone's a good fit for the pack. **Pawlease note: At this time, we’re not offering in-home tours. For all boarding and daycare Meet & Greets, we'll be hosting you in our secure outdoor play yard under the twin suns (okay, just one sun—but the vibe is still stellar ✨). Thanks so much for your understanding as we keep things safe, simple, and focused on your pup's comfort!** A huge thank you to all my doggie clients, future clients, and doggie community for your continued support. With Gratitude, Elaine, Izzy, McGinnis, Grayson, and Nova 🐶 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We get it—dogs are family. And handing your furry family member over to someone new can be, well… ruff. Finding someone you can trust to provide safe, reliable, and loving care isn’t always easy. That’s why my husband (Izzy) and I are committed to building that trust with both our clients and their pups—because we’re dog parents too. Like you, we’re always learning. No single method works for every dog, so we take the time to understand each pup’s unique personality, needs, and preferences. What works one day may not the next—and that’s okay! We adapt and meet each dog where they are. We know how hard it is to leave your pup, whether it’s just for the day or a whole month. That’s why we create an environment where every dog feels safe to play, rest, explore, or simply be. We never force interaction. Instead, we cultivate confidence and let socialization happen naturally, with every moment supervised and thoughtfully guided by us—Elaine and Izzy. Your dog’s comfort, safety, and well-being are our top priorities—because that’s exactly what we’d want for our own. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 🌟 Important Notes for Boarding & Daycare Guests 🌟 Your pup’s safety—and the safety of our pack—is always our top priority. To ensure everyone stays happy and healthy during their stay, we kindly ask that all guests meet the following health & safety guidelines: 1. Vaccinations: All pups must be up to date on the following vaccinations before joining us: DPP with Adenovirus (Distemper, Parvovirus & Parainfluenza) – 1 or 3-year vaccine Bordetella – Required at least 48 hours before arrival for effectiveness Rabies – 1 or 3-year vaccine Canine Influenza (H3N8 and H3N2) Leptospirosis 💡 If your veterinarian advises against any of the above due to your pet’s age or health condition, we kindly ask for a signed letter of exemption from your vet. ⏳ We recommend that all vaccines be given 10–14 days before your pup’s stay to ensure optimal protection, though the minimum requirement is 48 hours in advance under a licensed vet’s care. 2. Flea & Tick Prevention: All guests should be on current flea/tick preventatives at the time of stay. 3. ID Tags: We require all dogs to wear current identification tags—even if they’re microchipped—during their stay. 4. Reservation Policy: We’re happy to accommodate last-minute requests for returning clients or those with an established relationship. For new clients, we require a completed Meet & Greet in advance. ✨ Let’s schedule a complimentary Meet & Greet to see if we’re a good fit. ✨ We’d love to hear more about your furry family and how we can support you both! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ WHAT TO EXPECT DURING MEET AND GREETS 1. Please schedule your Meet & Greet at least 2 weeks prior to your requested booking so we can ensure the best care and smooth planning for your pup’s stay or visit! 2. Meet & Greets are a chance for us to sniff each other out (figuratively, of course 😉) and see if we’re a good match. Not all dogs—or humans—vibe the same way, so we use this time to build trust, answer questions, and make sure it feels like the right fit on both sides. 3. For boarding and daycare, you’ll also get to meet McGinnis, our resident Doggie Interviewer 🐶🦴. He’s a well-trained, social pup who helps us assess how new dogs respond to a calm, neutral presence. My husband and I have worked extensively with him, and he takes his role as welcome committee very seriously. 4. Optional for walks or drop-ins: You can book and join a 30-minute walk or visit to see how I connect with your pup in action—especially great if you're feeling unsure or if your pup is a little selective. 5. During this time, I’ll ask some key questions to learn about your dog’s personality, routines, and needs. You’re also welcome to share any concerns, quirks, past experiences and instructions to help me care for them like one of my own. 6. Need to exchange keys for in-home services? If you don’t use a lockbox, we can do that during our Meet & Greet, too! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ WHAT TO EXPECT DURING HOUSE SITTINGS (AT YOUR HOUSE): When your pup prefers to stay in the comfort of their own space, house sitting with me (Elaine) is a cozy, consistent option! 1. I’ll stay at your home full-time to provide companionship and care—but please note, I may need to step out for up to 6 hours at a time (unless otherwise discussed in advance). If your pup isn’t comfortable with that window of alone time, this may not be the best fit at this time. 2. Since I work remotely, reliable Wi-Fi is a must so I can get work done while keeping your furry ones company. 3. Overnight stays are optional, though most pet parents prefer it! Whether it’s your guest room, couch, or bedroom—I'm happy to sleep wherever you feel most comfortable having me. 4. Walks, feeding schedules, medication, and snuggles are tailored to your pup’s needs and will be discussed during the meet and greet. If your pup(s) requirements are time specific though, please let me know so I can see if I can accommodate. 5. I’m flexible with arrival and departure times as long as we discuss and align on expectations ahead of time. 6. You’ll receive plenty of text and photo updates daily—because I believe in caring for your pets the same way I expect mine to be cared for. 7. Before wrapping up my stay, I’ll make sure your home is left just as you like it: light housekeeping tasks like washing dishes, light vacuuming, wiping counters, and placing used linens in the laundry will be handled with care. 8. Need the trash taken out or bins brought in? Just let me know and I’ll add it to the tail-wagging to-do list. 9. First-time clients: Please book at least two weeks in advance so we can schedule a proper Meet & Greet. For peak holiday bookings, we recommend reserving as early as possible to secure your spot! Let’s make your pup feel safe, loved, and totally at home—even while you’re away. 🐕💤✨ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ WHAT TO EXPECT DURING DOGGIE BOARDINGS (AT MY HOUSE): Your pup will stay right here in our home with us and the pack for their boarding stay. Think of it as an all-inclusive sleepover retreat—with structure, play, rest, and belly rubs. 1. What to pack: Please bring your dog’s food, medication, leash, harness, and ID tags. Bonus points for packing their favorite comfort item or toy to help them feel extra at home. 2. If your pup is high-energy or food motivated, feel free to pack their favorite training treats—we love incorporating puzzle games, sniffari mats, lick pads, and light agility work to keep them mentally sharp and physically satisfied! 3. We offer flexible drop-off and pick-up times, but please coordinate with us in advance. We do occasionally step out, so knowing your preferred windows helps us plan the smoothest transitions. 4. Expect daily text and photo updates—because that’s what we would want if our pups were away from home! 5. If your pup sleeps in a crate, bring it along! Otherwise, most pups snooze indoors with us, choosing from a variety of beds and cozy corners—yes, it’s a “musical beds” vibe here! 🎵🛏️ 6. We provide supervised playtime throughout the day, paired with built-in nap breaks so everyone can recharge. It’s like a 24-hour dog park with boundaries, structure, and soft landings. 7. Feeding is done separately to ensure everyone stays safe and stress-free. No communal treats are provided unless you bring them—and even then, we only give your pup their own. 8. Please note: While your dog will have company, we do leave the house briefly for errands or picking up my husband. During these times, all dogs are safely separated. If your pup struggles with being alone for short periods, this may not be the best fit. 9. First-time client? Be sure to book at least two weeks in advance to schedule a proper Meet & Greet. For popular holiday stays, booking early is your best bet to secure a spot! We’re here to give your dog the kind of care we’d want for our own—that means safety, structure, and plenty of tail wags. 🐕💫 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ WHAT TO EXPECT DURING WALKS: 1. Walks are 30 minutes long, but can include a combo of stroll + play (example: 20-minute walk, 10-minute fetch). Want a longer session? 60-minute walks are also available for pups who need that extra mileage! 2. Upon request, we’re happy to provide meals, treats, fresh water, or medication before or after the walk—just let us know what your pup needs. 3. Got a muddy explorer? We’ll clean those paws and booties before re-entering your home so your floors stay as fresh as your pup feels. 🧼🐾 4. After every visit, you’ll receive a detailed report and adorable photo—because every good walk deserves a highlight reel. 🎬📸 5. Let us know your walking goals! Whether it's about exercise, sniff time, a potty break, or just good ol’ companionship, we tailor our walks to your dog’s personality and your preferences. We are all about turning daily walks into happy moments—one leash at a time. 🐶💛 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ WHAT TO EXPECT DURING DROP-INS: 1. Drop-in visits are 30 minutes long for one pet, but if you’ve got a whole crew, we have a 60 minute option so we can stay a bit longer to make sure each furry family member gets the care and attention they deserve. 2. We’re happy to help with meals, treats, fresh water, medications, potty breaks, and short walks—just let us know what your pets need while you're away. 3. Messy paws? Dirty bottoms? We’ll happily wipe everyone down before they get back to lounging in their favorite spots. 🧼🐾 4. After each visit, you’ll receive a care summary + a sweet photo update—because no one should miss their pet’s smile while they’re gone! 📸🐕 Every visit is handled with the same love and attention we give our own pets. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ WHAT TO EXPECT DURING DAYCARE 1. We offer flexible drop-off and pick-up times, but please coordinate with us in advance. We do occasionally step out, so knowing your preferred windows helps us plan the smoothest transitions. 2. Expect text and photo updates—because that’s what we would want to brighten our days while we are at work! 3. We provide supervised playtime throughout the day, paired with built-in nap breaks so everyone can recharge. It’s like a constant dog park with boundaries, structure, and soft landings. 4. If feeding is needed during daycare--not a problem! Make sure to let us know! Feeding is done separately to ensure everyone stays safe and stress-free. No communal treats are provided unless you bring them—and even then, we only give your pup their own. 5. Please note: While your dog will have company, we do leave the house briefly for errands or picking up my husband. During these times, all dogs are safely separated. If your pup struggles with being alone for short periods, this may not be the best fit. 6. First-time client? Be sure to book at least two weeks in advance to schedule a proper Meet & Greet. For popular holiday stays, booking early is your best bet to secure a spot! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 🚗 Pick-Up & Drop-Off Policies All pick-ups and drop-offs are by appointment only, so we can ensure a calm, smooth transition for every pup in our care (and for you too!). We do occasionally step out for errands or pup-related adventures, so please share your preferred times when requesting your booking—we’ll always offer you available options to choose from and coordinate what works best on both ends. ✈️ Travel delays happen, and we totally get it. All we ask is that you keep us in the loop—just shoot over a quick message if you're running late or plans shift. If your pick-up time ends up being too late for the day, we’ll coordinate a next-morning pickup instead (an additional overnight fee may apply). Clear communication keeps everything flowing and tail-wagging smooth! Thanks for being awesome about scheduling—we truly appreciate your flexibility and transparency! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Lastly, please click on 'Additional Services & Rates' on my profile to see all of my specialty rates (i.e puppy rate, holiday rate). Elaine and Israel are phenomenal — we truly feel that sitters of this quality are rare. We are, without hesitation, 100% comfortable leaving our dog, Bond at Elaine’s, which has made planning our own travel so much less stressful. Bond absolutely LOVES going over and even seems disappointed when it’s time to leave. She treats him with so much love and it’s clear that he adores her! Things we love about Elaine and Israel: 1) meet and greet and thorough vaccine requirements assured that we were a good fit and it would be a safe environment for bond. 2) Amazing communication: they were very thorough in describing what Bond’s stay would look like and always take time to answer our questions. Lots of photo updates as well! 3) Bond gets to play with dogs that match his play style and also gets lots of time to rest. He comes home happy, content, and clean 4) they have clear expertise in caring for dogs and is very skilled in understanding dog behavior. As such, we know it’s not just fun for Bond, but also very safe. We could go on about how many things we love about Bond’s multiple stays here!

I love their secure fencing and methodical way of introducing dogs to their pack! Our two dogs had fun at the meet and greet and looked relaxed and happy on their way in for their first boarding stay. I really appreciated the frequent check-ins and the clear and consistent communication.

Schedule

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SCHEDULE: How does pet care fit into your daily or weekly routine? I work from home Full Time so I have the flexibility to mold my schedule as needed—but noting that we aren’t home 24/7 as we do need to step out from time to time for errands or to pick up/drop off the hubby at work. We would NOT be the right fit for you if your pup cannot be left alone at any point in time. As mentioned, all playtime is supervised during a stay. Pups will have access to the backyard freely unless its time for sleep, I’m in a zoom meeting, we are hosting a meet and greet for a potential future puppy friend, or we have to step out for errands, then they would be separated for that short time. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Safety, trust & environment
SAFETY, TRUST & ENVIRONMENT: How do you care for pets in your home and/or your client's home? This will vary depending on which service you offer. I offer a full spectrum of services to meet the needs of all clients. My home, located in Torrance, houses boarding and daycare services. We have a large fenced backyard for lots of playtime during the day. All of our doggie guests sleep safely indoors -- never outdoors, at night. Some parents prefer their pups in crates when sleeping and in that case will bring their crates with them. If your pup prefers to stay at home, not a problem as I am more than happy to house sit as well! Below is a more detailed list of my services and what to expect. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Pets
A typical day
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Our backyard is pretty much like a mini dog park for the pups in our care where they play catch, tug-o-war, or chase! We take tons of photos and/or videos for their humans, and on the occasion...we may possibly dress the pups up in fun costumes and send a few TikToks over if feeling creative! Lol! Our yard is designed to encourage safe, supervised socialization and burn off that extra energy—because let’s be real, not many pups can keep up with a 24/7 dog park vibe. We capture plenty of photos (and sometimes silly videos) so you can see the joy in action. We try and get in walks when possible, whether one-on-one or pack strolls. Please bring your pup’s usual gear—harnesses, leashes, etc.—but if what’s provided isn’t safe or secure (think pulling, slipping out, or tangled chaos), we’ll swap to one of our own setups to keep the walk structured and enjoyable for everyone. Got a pup with energy to spare and decent recall or leash manners? We may invite them along for a bike-paced run around the neighborhood (with your approval, of course!). Just one more way we keep tails wagging and minds + bodies happy.

I love meeting new dogs and understand that each of our pets has a unique personality, and I can't wait to learn the ins & outs of yours! THINGS I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR PUP •Are they fixed? If not, do they show signs of dominance towards other dogs? For Females, we can’t take them when they are in heat. •Are they friendly with people? •Any issues or habits when meeting new dogs? •Do they have separation anxiety? What is a typical action they do when they have separation anxiety? •Are they agressive towards dogs based on size? Male or female? •Are they escape artists? •Do they chase or play rough with smaller dogs? Larger dogs? •Are they territorial/guard over toys, treats, food, or water? •Anything that puts them off, scares them, or makes them uncomfortable? • Any health issues I should be informed of (e.g., arthritis, allergies, etc.)? • Are they on medication? If so, what’s their medication schedule? • Does your dog have a microchip? • Are they up-to-date on vaccinations & flea preventative treatment? • Who is the emergency contact in case you can’t be reached? • Are the care instructions listed on Rover.com up-to-date? • Who is your preferred Vet? DOG WALKING •Are they reactive to skateboards, bicycles, or dogs? •Any leash aggression? •Any behavior issues, habits, or quirks they have, that you believe I need to know before walking your dog(s)? •Certain places they are allowed or not allowed to use the restroom?
