“This was our second time booking Jennifer to watch our 2 cats while we were on vacation and I’m so glad we did! She sends tons of great photos and communicates quickly which is always reassuring. When our flight was cancelled and we had to extend our trip I knew our cats would be in great hands and she confirmed her availability for the additional days right away. Our cats certainly didn’t mind either since she gives them lots of cuddles and attention!”

“Daizy was very attentive and tended to my cat's needs and personality during her drop-ins. She definitely made me feel better about leaving my cat under her care. She's thorough and detailed with her check-ins. I highly recommend Daizy if you're looking for someone to look after your cat with the utmost care.”

“I absolutely love Michelle!! I'm pretty sure there isn't anyone sweeter than her! We came in for a short vacation/concert. We have anxious dogs, and thankfully she has experience with that. She was so helpful and willing to stay with our dogs the whole time we were gone. They fell in love with her!! We were able to have a great time at our event without worrying at all! I cannot recommend her enough. We have had quite a few sitters of the past few years, and she is hands-down the best!!”

“Lauren took care of Dakota by dropping in 3 times a day for an hour each time. I cannot recommend her enough. Dakota easily bonded with her and seemed to just know she was a good human! Lauren arrived promptly and sent me pictures throughout the day. Texting me with updates as requested. She’s awesome! I will definitely be booking her again in the future! :)”

“Elaine was AMAZING! My cat is super shy, but she was persistent and got him to come out of his hiding place. She was super communicative so that I knew exactly how everything was going. Would strongly recommend her for your cat sitting needs.”

“Gabby was very communicative and always on time for her check ins. I felt bubby wasn’t neglected at all and lost of pictures and videos!! Bubby was so happy when I got home and it was like I never left. She didn’t seem off or anything like that. Gabby’s reports were thorough and let me know if there was anything strange with bunny. I will definitely book again when going on a trip again!”

“Jennifer took care of my special needs cat and my 3 other cats. She was there morning and night and gave medicine to the diabetic cat I have. I shall be using her again in the near future.”

“I rebooked with Heather and I was very pleased with everything! The updates were very thorough and I came back to very happy cats. I'll be looking to re-book with Heather again!”

“Elise did great staying in our requested schedule and instructions for our two pets. She kept us updated with messages and pictures and her own special treats. Thank you!”

“Jack is a great communicator and took excellent care of my pup! He accommodated my request on short notice, was prompt and I’d highly recommend him to anybody looking for pet care. I will definitely rebook him again.”

“Shelli took great care of our cat while we were away. She sent us lots of photos and videos which helped assure us he was in good hands. When we came back he was much less grumpy with us than usual which I take as a great sign.”

About: I'm a pet sitter for all my friend's pets. I had the experience of living with friends' pets many times. I really love pets and when I'm a sitter it's not only about changing the water and taking the pet outside for a pee, we have interesting conversations and quality time with games and cuddling. I'm a designer (in a pet tech company Basepaws) and work from home. I have time to walk outside several times a day and I do it even when I haven't pet:) We have a fenced yard with no holes and we haven't kids or other pets. We can have a long walk outside or keep your pet inside and use only the backyard if you prefer.
About: I’m a dog lover with years of hands-on experience caring for pets for family and friends through house sitting, walks, drop-in visits, and feeding schedules. I previously owned a beautiful Belgian Shepherd named Izzy, who was my adventure buddy for many years. After recently losing her, I’ve found a lot of joy in spending time with and caring for other people’s furry companions. I currently work a hybrid schedule, which gives me flexibility during the day to stop by for potty breaks, walks, playtime, or just some extra company and attention while you’re away. Whether your pet needs a long walk, overnight care, or someone to check in and make sure they’re comfortable, I’m happy to help. As a former dog owner myself, I understand how important it is to know your pet is in good hands. My goal is to help give you peace of mind while also giving your pets the love, care, and attention they deserve. I’m excited to meet you and your furry family members while earning a little extra income doing something I genuinely enjoy. I'm available to stay overnight at your home Fridays - Tuesday evenings. I have a hybrid work schedule so I am available to drop in during the workday to provide any walks or potty breaks that are needed. I'm unavailable to pet sit, walk, or do drop-ins on Wednesdays and Thursdays. I can spend the night at your home to help ensure your furry companion doesn't experience separation anxiety. I've spent time walking dogs of all sizes, and I make sure to learn any triggers your animals may have before taking them on walks. I'll send photos of your animals while you're away to help you feel at peace and enjoy your vacation or work trip!
“Tara is the best sitter I’ve found in the area. She is responsive, great with our cats, and goes above and beyond. I feel much more at ease on trips knowing Tara is caring for our cats. Would highly recommend!!”

“Valerie is a wonderful catsitter. After 2 weeks of Valerie's loving care, my two fat cats look very happy and fatter lol. My cats are very sensitive and cautious. They usually lose weight when I am not around. I will call her again for my next vacation trip!”

“From the beginning, Danielle was communicative and intuitive! Our babies, Coco and Kwame, can be a bit shy, especially Kwame, but he warmed up to Danielle so fast in the first meeting, which brought us a lot of relief and comfort. We loved and appreciated the check-ins she would send of our babies, and to see them open up to her really let us know that they were being genuinely taken care of and engaged with. She was so flexible about adding an extra check-in we needed to add at the last minute. She was so attentive with the details of emergency contacts, key drop-offs, and vet information. We really appreciated this, since we had so many things in mind for our trip. She also followed instructions, especially during feeding time, because Kwame is a thief, and Coco will let him. We are definitely going to book with her again since our babies are comfortable with her, and it was so easy to communicate with her. See you soon, Danielle, thank you! :)”

“Cassandra took care of my old cat so well!! My cat has some medical needs that were handled with care and everything else went so smoothly with copious pictures provided. Would absolutely book her again and highly recommend you do the same!”
“Angela does so great with my dogs. She updates me all the time and keeps my dogs happy. This is the second time Angela has taken care of my dogs and I will continue having her take care of my dogs.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Cota
Tara is the best cat sitter we have ever had. She goes above and beyond to make sure our cats are cared for well. She is so sweet, kind, and caring. I cannot say enough great things about Tara. She saved our vacation when another sitter had to back out after we had left. I’m eternally grateful! Tara is amazing!!

Daizy was amazing with my girls! My cats are very snuggly and like a lot of attention and her photos with them gave me peace of mind while away. One of my babies can be aggressive with her love and reading how she has spicy cat experience was a relief. Knowing that they had a friendly person to check on them and hang out with them was exactly what I needed in a sitter. Thank you so much and I will be booking again the next time I travel!

Gabby was such a godsend! It was our first time using a pet sitting service and we could not have been happier with her. She answered all our first time questions and really made our trip stress free. Our cats did really well under her care and we’ll definitely use her services again.

Sarah is magic!! She provided so many pictures and videos while we were away, even showing that one of our feisty cats trusted her and took treats straight from her hands (huge good sign in our world). We have never felt our cats to be at so much peace and calm upon returning from a trip, we hope Sarah can watch them any time we have to leave in the future!

Meghan stepped in at the last minute to care for our cat when our previous sitter had a medical emergency. We were on the East Coast when a Rover employee called & said that our sitter was hospitalized & that they were looking for an emergency replacement. We had a few options, but Meghan was the most responsive and had great reviews. We hadn't even met her, but we truly got lucky that she volunteered to step in. We look forward to meeting her in person the next time that we book through Rover, because we will definitely try to book her the next time we travel.

Teah was great from the start. She came and met my bay girl Buttercup before we booked, to make sure she (buttercup) felt comfortable with her. Immediately, Buttercup started to get close to Teah and felt comfortable around her. Teah also sent me pictures and kept me updated while I was away. I will definitely book again in future trips, if she’s available.

Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cota. On Rover:

- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
