About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life and caring for pets now is second nature. I raised and trained my own dog from puppyhood, giving me hands on experience with everything from potty training and basic commands to daily excersise, enrichment, and routine care. As a marathon runner, I am especially well suited for active and high energy dogs. Whether your pup enjoys long walks, runs, hikes, or plenty of playtime, I am happy to help them get the excerise and attention they need. I also grew up with two family dogs and currently help care for my roommates cat, so I am comfortable with different personalties, energy levels, and care needs. Beyond dogs and cats, I've cared for guinea pigs, hamsters, and reptiles. At one point, I was responsible for 8 pets at the same time, which taught me how to stay organized, attentive, and reliable when managing multiple feeding schedules, cleaning routines, and individual needs. My goal is to treat every pet like they're my own and give you peace of mind knowing they're in loving and capable hands. I am currently on summer break from UC Davis and have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention and care throughout the day. I am available for drop in visits, dog walking, and house sitting on both weekdays and weekends. I can accommodate a variety of schedules and will do my best to work around your pets routine. I understand that every pet has unique needs, so I will be extremely thorough and follow all instructions carefully regarding feeding, medications, excersise, training, and household rules. Safety is always my top priority. I pay close attention during walks, keep pets secure at all times, and make sure they receive plenty of supervision, affection, and enrichment. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident that your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for while you are away.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs throughout my life and genuinely enjoy their company. I currently volunteer at my local animal shelter a few days a week. I have completed the shelters Fear Free training that teaches how to recognize and alleviate Fear, Anxiety, and Stress (FAS) in pets. The training touches on how to read animal body language, low stress handling techniques, environmental and protocol modifications. I have experience with puppies, adults, and senior dogs. I currently work part-time. My schedule consist of working M,W,F at 11:00 AM-3:00 PM and T,Th at 11:00 AM-4:00 PM. I am not scheduled at my day job on the weekends. So on Saturday and Sunday I am available for constant care. I can house sit, do drop in’s, and walks 7 days a week. But on weekdays I will be out 4-5 hours a day due to my work schedule. I will always respect clients boundaries. I understand the importance of leaving the place in good condition and cleaning up after myself. Most importantly sending updates to the owners on how their pets are doing. I also understand the importance of the big responsibility it is to care for my clients pets. I will always treat them as my own, with compassion, care, love and respect.
“I absolutely love Michelle!! I'm pretty sure there isn't anyone sweeter than her! We came in for a short vacation/concert. We have anxious dogs, and thankfully she has experience with that. She was so helpful and willing to stay with our dogs the whole time we were gone. They fell in love with her!! We were able to have a great time at our event without worrying at all! I cannot recommend her enough. We have had quite a few sitters of the past few years, and she is hands-down the best!!”

About: I’ve had pets my entire life and have years of hands-on experience caring for animals of all ages. I grew up with two dogs and later cared for two cats, so I’m comfortable with different personalities, routines, and needs. Friends, neighbors, and family have trusted me to walk, feed, bathe, and spend quality time with their pets. I’m patient, attentive, and truly love animals, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. I’m especially willing to put in the extra time and care senior pets may need, whether that’s moving at a slower pace, providing extra comfort, or paying close attention to their routines. I understand how important it is for pet parents to feel confident and at ease, and I always prioritize safety, comfort, and happiness. I am currently a student, which gives me a very flexible schedule to care for your pets! I am completely free every weekday after 1:00 PM for walks, drop-ins, and evening playtimes. On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, my classes finish even earlier, so I am available starting at 11:00 AM. My weekends are 100% open for boarding or house sitting. Because I'm home studying often, I have plenty of time to give your pet the attention and potty breaks they need. When caring for pets in your home, my top priority is keeping them comfortable and stress-free by maintaining their normal routine. I carefully follow all instructions for feeding, walks, playtime, and any medications, making sure your pet gets the exercise, attention, and care they’re used to. I treat your home with respect by keeping it clean and secure, always double-checking doors and gates. I make it a point to give each pet plenty of love, attention, and interaction so they feel happy and secure while you’re away. I also communicate frequently and can send daily photo updates, so you always know your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for.

About: For over a decade I have honed my knowledge of how to care for cats and dogs in both a volunteer and professional job setting as a Kennel Attendant. Now I wish to use those skills to make sure your pets are pampered and healthy whike life takes you elsewhere! Its important for animals to stick to a routine so I make sure food, water, enrichment, and exercise are given everyday! During summer and winter holidays i'll be available full time. During spring and summer semester I'll have classes in the afternoon but excluding those few hours a day and making sure my own animals are cared for I should be available to make your animals the priority! Household rules differ so Id love to receive instructions on what you specifically want and need for me to prioritize! By default.I will feed and water your animals, provide company and enrichment, allow regular acess to restroom areas and provide at least two walks a day though I am welcome for requests for more!
“This was our first time using Rover and meeting Stefanie. Our kitties who are normally shy with other people took a liking to her really quickly. Stefanie was really thorough in making sure that she had all the information she would need while we were gone, and it was clear from her daily Rover Cards and communication that she really cared about taking great care of our kitties. We will definitely look for Stefanie the next time we need a pet sitter!”

“Marby was on time, communicated throughout the visit, followed detailed instructions, and figured out how to feed my finicky pug when he wouldn’t eat. I’ll be working with her again.”

“Meghan stepped in at the last minute to care for our cat when our previous sitter had a medical emergency. We were on the East Coast when a Rover employee called & said that our sitter was hospitalized & that they were looking for an emergency replacement. We had a few options, but Meghan was the most responsive and had great reviews. We hadn't even met her, but we truly got lucky that she volunteered to step in. We look forward to meeting her in person the next time that we book through Rover, because we will definitely try to book her the next time we travel.”

“Angela does so great with my dogs. She updates me all the time and keeps my dogs happy. This is the second time Angela has taken care of my dogs and I will continue having her take care of my dogs.”

About: I’ve had 2 bunnies and currently a 4 year old shitzu. I’ve also taken care of my family’s dogs in Nicaragua. From a Great Dane, Husky, Coker Spaniel, and random mixes. I’ll always treat any animal with kindness and respect I’m currently not working for the summer so I’m free almost all the time. I’m going to school from Monday-Thursday in the fall but I will update then. I will take care of your pets and your house to the upmost standard. I will bring my a game to match your pets energy while also making sure they’re good.
“Regina’s patient and great at assessing what my dogs need. She then gives me helpful feedback, and homework, to work on with them until I see her again. She’s very understanding and makes training manageable. Beyond grateful to be working with her.”

About: I grew up and have been around dogs my whole life. I’ve been cat sitting for friends for years. I love all animals but have the most experience with cats and dogs. I have open availability and here to help. I have open availability at the moment. So even if it’s last minute I can help. I am reliable and as long as I’m not booked up I’m willing to help. I will care for the pets in their client’s home. I think it’s best for the pet to stay in their environment and to have familiarity. Especially when first being introduced to someone new.
About: Hi! My name is Lauren, As the Pet Whisperer I would be thrilled to provide the Ultimate TLC for your fur baby :) ** My signature 5-star service on Rover is House Sitting ** since 2018 as I have resided in Los Angeles/OC, New York City, and Bay Area. I have also provided 100+ walks and drop-in visits on Wag and am available for those services on Rover as well. What You Can Expect: (T) Tender / Trustworthy: Above all, I believe Communication is Key for all of my pet family clients, and I make sure you are kept up to date with messages and pictures as often as requested while being responsive to any questions or concerns you may have - from prior to booking and throughout the stay. (L) Loving / Listener: I am adaptive to your pet's personality and temperament, attentive to whatever their heart desires (to an extent :P) while maintaining boundaries, rules, and expectations per your instructions on their routine, diet, training, and any special needs as their paw parent. (C) Care / Consistency: I have had the pleasure of working with over 80 satisfied clients (18 repeat clients) for pet care, and I provide only the utmost quality of services. My repeat fur families become very much like my own fur fam, and I would be honored to join yours :) Background: Since the early days of caring for my beloved family pupper of 9 years Maltipoo Andy (may He Rest in Peace), caring for dogs and cats alike as a grad student on Wag and Rover since 2018, and now being the proud auntie of four fur nieces + nephew (Ragdoll kween Kanani, Russian Blue muffin Hanya plus bb Tabbies Annie and Taruken - all rescues now in their furever homes) - I treat my clients' pets with the same love, care, and respect as if they were my own while remaining mindful of any specific needs and taking the time to learn about their unique personalities. Summary: Essentially, I am open to accommodating as much as able, as I understand every family's situation and needs are different. Most of all, it is my top priority that you feel assured about the care your fur baby is going to receive, especially in the comfort of your/their own home. That is my Pet Whisperer Promise to you, and please do let me know if you still have any questions. I look forward to connecting with you and your fur family further - ready to provide them all the TLC they deserve <3 Scheduling: I am available for weekday, weekend, and extended stays. Please feel free to discuss additional times with me, and I can confirm my availability. I ensure that attention and care is provided to my clients' pets by giving them space to first become familiar with me in their home and allowing them to freely approach me when comfortable - Meet and Greets are very helpful for this in addition to reviewing their routine, location of supplies, house rules/keeping etc. For house sittings in particular, I maintain cleanliness and respect my clients' homes (e.g. 5-star Airbnb guest), leaving them exactly how I entered while being attentive to any household maintenance needs (with additional surcharges, ranging per level of need e.g. cleaning, mail/packages, plant care).
About: I’ve had pets since as long as I could remember. Right now, I have 3 babies that are my whole world. My dog, Chloe, is 17yrs and she’s been in my life since I was 6 years old. My rabbit, Eevee, was dumped and abandoned at a nearby field, and I found her while on a walk. She’s been with me for nearly 3yrs now. Then came my cat, Ponyo, and I’ve had her since she was a kitten, she will be 3yrs in July. I have always loved animals more than people, even more than myself, to be honest. I see every single pet, even ones that aren’t mine, as family, and equally deserving of love and respect. Update: My baby Chloe has recently passed and I am extremely heartbroken. She was my soulmate. I miss her everyday. Grief is love with nowhere to go. If given the opportunity to care for your pet I would not only be helping you but you would be helping me as well. My biggest and only responsibilities are my own little ones, so I am always at home caring for them. I struggle with my mental and physical health, so most regular jobs can be a bit too much pressure on me. I have 3 very different pets in my home that each have different needs. My dog being a senior means I have to pay extra attention to her and be diligent with her care. I am very knowledgeable and experienced in handling different types of animals of all ages.

OMG! I cannot even BEGIN to say how GRATEFUL I AM to have Jessica watch my furbabies! This is my 1st time using Rover & I wasn't worried for one MINUTE that they weren't in the BEST CARE! She made sure my guy got his insulin shots on TIME & even THOUGH the Princessa didn't HONOR Jessica with her presence, she was still so happy to see me when I got home & was no worse for wear! I would recommend her to anyone looking for caring, responsible person to take care of your precious babies, Jessica is it! You won't regret it!

I wanted to tip more but the app limited me? Brionna did a great job and she really helped out by picking up a few more days when I was stuck in Barbados airport with all flights canceled for 3days! Crazy East Coast weather! I recommend using her services as she is professional and thorough. Thank you Brionna!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Lakewood. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
