My dog, Athena, requires a specific diet with medications and is almost blind. I booked Stefanie for three afternoon "drop-ins". She came a week before our booking for a meet and greet and the years of experience working in an animal hospital and taking care of pets became evident instantly. Stefanie knew how to to help my blind dog feel comfortable by allowing Athena to approach her and initiate the interactions. She is such a professional, taking notes, asking questions, and going over my instructions, helping to ensure that the drop-ins were going to go as smoothly as possible for Athena. Stefanie has a very strong work ethic. She is extremely punctual and reliable. Athena requires a specific diet and medications have to be given in a specific amount and order. Stefanie followed my instructions perfectly. She kept me regularly updated with detailed texts and many photos, including how she prepared Athena's food. She even cleaned her water bowl every day. Stefanie did so many wonderful things for Athena and went above and beyond the booking. My family and I are not only impressed with her sense of responsibility, but her patience and kindness towards our precious girl is priceless. Athena showed how much she trusts Stefanie by wagging her tail when she arrived and allowing Stefanie to give her a belly rub. This is huge for a blind dog. Athena was even looking for her the next couple of days. Clearly, Athena trusted Stefanie with her care and so do I. My family and I plan to book Stefanie again and again! About: I’ve always had dogs growing up. Big dogs, small dogs, playful dogs, and shy dogs. Whether your dog prefers to run around or take a leisurely stroll, I am willing to accommodate. I have no issues administering medication if necessary! I’m a full-time worker at the hospital and a part-time student, but my mornings are free most weekdays! If you need a weekend as well, I’m sure I would be able to accommodate given ample notice. I have a friendly dog and cat in my house and a fenced yard to make sure your pet is in a safe environment. I have no issues placing pets into crates if necessary.

About: I'm a masters student in biology at Cal State Long Beach with professional pet care experience from working as an Animal Care Technician/Kennel Assistant at Franklin County Animal Hospital. Here, I primarily cared for boarded cats and dogs by giving medication by injection, orally, and other routes. Additionally, I fed animals as directed to ensure they actually eat, cleaned kennel spaces, and had playtime with dogs after their walks. I grew up with cats and have had the main responsibility of training dogs in my family for all of my life (the origin of my 20 years experience)! In regards to dogs, I've raised 5 huskies from birth all the way up to adulthood. Currently, I have 2 well-trained dogs that LOVE to meet new people and pets: Nirvana, a mini Texas Heeler and Remi, a Husky mix. If we're not at home, we're probably off on a walk, hiking, swimming, or doing a photoshoot somewhere in the woods! I love to meet people's pets! Whether your pet stays at my pet-friendly apartment with a large front yard, I'm at your place overnight, or I'm simply dropping in/taking your pet on a walk I can promise professionalism and that your pet will be treated as if they were my own! Open availability, just let me know when to show up! During the Fall and Spring semesters, this may depend on the day as I'm a masters student in Biology at Cal State Long Beach. At my home, I can ensure pets are in a safe environment by walking them in my large backyard and/or in a safe area of town. Additionally, I can ensure your pets safety by only allowing interactions with my pets while supervised. At your home, I can follow specific directions on where your pet(s) likes to go, how they prefer to be interacted with, and discuss the preferred length of time you'd prefer me to be in your home. Really, this portion is all up to you! I value mutual respect above all else and while I will conduct myself as such regardless, your preferences are really all that matters!

About: I’ve lived with dogs and cats my entire life. I currently have one dog, and three cats at the moment. I love how they show their love and how they can really brighten up our days. I work at a school as an instructional assistant. So the pet care will have to be before and after work. I have weekends off. I care for my pets at home by walking my dog, playing outside with my dog, playing inside with my cats and their toys, they love the laser toy. I feed my animals morning and night and sometimes they get an afternoon snack. I love to relax with them on the couch while watching TV. I also allow them on my bed when it’s time to go to sleep.
