“Savannah was great, she was on time every day, took lots of good pics to share with us and rolled with a few last minute requests without any issue. I would definitely recommend and re book her.”

“Lissi was an excellent sitter for my 2 cats! She always kept me updated with how they were doing and made sure they were fed and had water and a clean litter box. Highly recommend for any of your animal care needs! 😊”

About: For over a decade I have honed my knowledge of how to care for cats and dogs in both a volunteer and professional job setting as a Kennel Attendant. Now I wish to use those skills to make sure your pets are pampered and healthy whike life takes you elsewhere! Its important for animals to stick to a routine so I make sure food, water, enrichment, and exercise are given everyday! During summer and winter holidays i'll be available full time. During spring and summer semester I'll have classes in the afternoon but excluding those few hours a day and making sure my own animals are cared for I should be available to make your animals the priority! Household rules differ so Id love to receive instructions on what you specifically want and need for me to prioritize! By default.I will feed and water your animals, provide company and enrichment, allow regular acess to restroom areas and provide at least two walks a day though I am welcome for requests for more!

“Yasmin was super awesome! She took excellent care of my senior kitty. It is hard to leave our baby, but she made us so comfortable. Will definitely be booking with her in the future!”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover who had the privilege of caring for my own dog for 14 amazing years. Through that experience, I learned how important patience, attention, and love are when it comes to caring for pets. I understand that dogs are family, and I will treat your pet with the same kindness and care I gave my own. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just keeping them company, I want your dog to feel safe and happy while you’re away. My sweet dog recently passed away after 14 years together, and caring for other dogs is a meaningful way for me to continue sharing that love. •Dog Care Skills• 🦴🐾 Feeding and maintaining pet routines Dog walking and exercise Sending photo and video updates to owners Providing companionship and playtime Quick communication with pet parents •About Me• I am currently a college student and a huge dog lover. I had my own dog for 14 years, so I understand how important pets are and how much care they need. I enjoy walking, playing with dogs, and making sure they feel safe and comfortable. I always follow your pet’s routine and send updates and photos so you know how they’re doing. As a college student, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate time to caring for pets throughout the day. I enjoy going on walks, spending time playing with dogs, and making sure they get the attention and exercise they need. I make pet care a priority in my daily routine and plan my schedule so that pets are never left without proper care and supervision. When pets are in my care, I make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved. I follow the owner’s instructions closely for feeding schedules, walks, and any specific routines their pet is used to. I provide plenty of attention, playtime, and a calm environment so they can feel relaxed while their owners are away. I also send updates and photos to keep owners informed about how their pet is doing.
“Stefanie is AWESOME! You cannot find a better pet sitter! My family and I were looking for a professional pet sitter who had experience working with senior dogs with special needs. My dog, Athena, requires a specific diet with medications and is almost blind. I booked Stefanie for three afternoon "drop-ins". She came a week before our booking for a meet and greet and the years of experience working in an animal hospital and taking care of pets became evident instantly. Stefanie knew how to to help my blind dog feel comfortable by allowing Athena to approach her and initiate the interactions. She is such a professional, taking notes, asking questions, and going over my instructions, helping to ensure that the drop-ins were going to go as smoothly as possible for Athena. Stefanie has a very strong work ethic. She is extremely punctual and reliable. Athena requires a specific diet and medications have to be given in a specific amount and order. Stefanie followed my instructions perfectly. She kept me regularly updated with detailed texts and many photos, including how she prepared Athena's food. She even cleaned her water bowl every day. Stefanie did so many wonderful things for Athena and went above and beyond the booking. My family and I are not only impressed with her sense of responsibility, but her patience and kindness towards our precious girl is priceless. Athena showed how much she trusts Stefanie by wagging her tail when she arrived and allowing Stefanie to give her a belly rub. This is huge for a blind dog. Athena was even looking for her the next couple of days. Clearly, Athena trusted Stefanie with her care and so do I. My family and I plan to book Stefanie again and again! She is a rare gem and (we are) so grateful to her!”

“Lindsay knew my pup wasn't feeling well for a couple of days and added an extra visit to her schedule. She let me know how she appeared to be feeling. I really appreciate her kindness and flexibility!”
About: I’ve lived with dogs and cats my entire life. I currently have one dog, and three cats at the moment. I love how they show their love and how they can really brighten up our days. I work at a school as an instructional assistant. So the pet care will have to be before and after work. I have weekends off. I care for my pets at home by walking my dog, playing outside with my dog, playing inside with my cats and their toys, they love the laser toy. I feed my animals morning and night and sometimes they get an afternoon snack. I love to relax with them on the couch while watching TV. I also allow them on my bed when it’s time to go to sleep.
“Jasmine helped us with a last-minute request, giving us peace of mind to enjoy our event, knowing our new dog was taken care of. She communicated well before, during and after her visit.”

“This is the 3rd or 4th time having Angela do drop in visits with my 2 dogs. She is freakin great. My dogs love her. Finally got to meet her prior to this visit and she is very nice, responsive and reliable. Hire her!”

“Issis is always professional and the smile on my guys face when she sends rover cards makes me a little jealous ;)- Always a pleasure to work with her, I highly recommend her if you need someone to watch your fur baby or have someone walk them if life gets a little busy!”

About: I’ve owned 3 dogs of my own in my life. Dog’s always gravitate towards me! My Friends and Family call me the dog whisper! I genuinely love spending time with dogs so it’s more of a view (when you love what you do it doesn’t feel like work!) I work the customer service industry so I have plenty of free time during the day to play and walk your pups! It gives me and your pup the opportunity to include in our daily cardio! I believe in safety for everyone at all cost so whatever is required by the owners to be done for the safety of your furry friends, is what shall be done!
“Omolara took great care of my senior dog during the week I was away. She provided exercise, feeding, and clean-up of the space, when my dog couldn’t quite hold it. I highly recommend her to anyone!”

About: I have my own 2 dogs I take care of. I’ve also had dogs in the past I looked after. I also sometimes take care of my sister’s pets. I love to take care of puppies. I have lots of patience and can train them to do simple tricks. I don’t mind taking care of either big or small dogs as all are welcomed. I have online classes for college where I just do the homework. A majority of it is done by Monday leaving me with plenty of free time throughout the week. I work part-time as a cashier but currently only work one shift a week which is on Saturdays from 10-4 which leaves me with free time after work. I usually like to play with my dogs first and once they’re tired I relax with them and give them pets as they start to sleep. They have their feeding time and they do have commands to be able to eat but once they’re eating I let them be and make sure they don’t play right after eating. On a really hot day I’ll grab the hose and spray them gently (which my dogs love) and they’ll start to play with the water which helps cool them down. I’m really patient when it comes to bath time so if dogs get nervous during that I try to get them comfortable with what I’m doing and reward them after each step.
About: I’ve always had dogs growing up. Big dogs, small dogs, playful dogs, and shy dogs. Whether your dog prefers to run around or take a leisurely stroll, I am willing to accommodate. I have no issues administering medication if necessary! I’m a full-time worker at the hospital and a part-time student, but my mornings are free most weekdays! If you need a weekend as well, I’m sure I would be able to accommodate given ample notice. I have a friendly dog and cat in my house and a fenced yard to make sure your pet is in a safe environment. I have no issues placing pets into crates if necessary.

About: I'm a masters student in biology at Cal State Long Beach with professional pet care experience from working as an Animal Care Technician/Kennel Assistant at Franklin County Animal Hospital. Here, I primarily cared for boarded cats and dogs by giving medication by injection, orally, and other routes. Additionally, I fed animals as directed to ensure they actually eat, cleaned kennel spaces, and had playtime with dogs after their walks. I grew up with cats and have had the main responsibility of training dogs in my family for all of my life (the origin of my 20 years experience)! In regards to dogs, I've raised 5 huskies from birth all the way up to adulthood. Currently, I have 2 well-trained dogs that LOVE to meet new people and pets: Nirvana, a mini Texas Heeler and Remi, a Husky mix. If we're not at home, we're probably off on a walk, hiking, swimming, or doing a photoshoot somewhere in the woods! I love to meet people's pets! Whether your pet stays at my pet-friendly apartment with a large front yard, I'm at your place overnight, or I'm simply dropping in/taking your pet on a walk I can promise professionalism and that your pet will be treated as if they were my own! Open availability, just let me know when to show up! During the Fall and Spring semesters, this may depend on the day as I'm a masters student in Biology at Cal State Long Beach. At my home, I can ensure pets are in a safe environment by walking them in my large backyard and/or in a safe area of town. Additionally, I can ensure your pets safety by only allowing interactions with my pets while supervised. At your home, I can follow specific directions on where your pet(s) likes to go, how they prefer to be interacted with, and discuss the preferred length of time you'd prefer me to be in your home. Really, this portion is all up to you! I value mutual respect above all else and while I will conduct myself as such regardless, your preferences are really all that matters!

Vyanh is super sweet and personable. Very professional and punctual. I was worried that my cats would be lonely but she took time to give them scratches. My first time having someone come into my house to feed them but Vyanh was so great. Very good experience!

Angela was absolutely amazing! She truly went above and beyond during her drop-in visits with Lizzo and Kingston. She sent me so many adorable photos and thoughtful updates every visit, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. There was an issue with one of the automatic feeders, and she let me know right away instead of keeping it to herself. Thankfully, it ended up going back to normal on its own, but I really appreciated how quickly she communicated with me and stayed on top of everything. It's clear she genuinely cared about my pets, and that meant so much to me. I never had to worry because I knew they were in great hands. Thank you so much, Angela, from the bottom of my heart. I truly appreciate everything you did, and I will definitely be booking with you again in the future!

We are very lucky to have found Lissi to help watch our fur baby when we are away. Our fur baby is our family, and it is very hard for us to leave her alone, yet Lissi made it easy for us to be able to enjoy our time off knowing our baby is taken care of. She is very great with communicating, very friendly, and respectful. You can tell she cares a lot about animals, and that gives us a peace of mind.
Jennifer was kind, caring, and compassionate. She treated sunny with care and love. In addition, she gave us daily updates on how sunny was doing. I would highly recommend her to any pet owner. Sunny is usually afraid of strangers, but she immediately warmed up to Jennifer . Jennifer was asked to administer a complicated set of instructions for care of sunny, including handling medication and specific food. She did this very well and we are well pleased with her.

Karla was incredibly kind, attentive, and went above and beyond while caring for my cat. My cat absolutely loved her, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. She was very responsive, paid close attention to detail, and kept me updated throughout my vacation, which really helped ease my worries. I truly appreciated the level of care and compassion she showed. I’m looking forward to rebooking with her in the future!

We’ve used Michelle twice now, and she has taken great care of our two cats both times, including a week-long stay recently. She is responsible, dependable, and gave us peace of mind while we were away. We appreciated knowing our cats were being well cared for and wouldn’t hesitate to use her again in the future

I wanted to tip more but the app limited me? Brionna did a great job and she really helped out by picking up a few more days when I was stuck in Barbados airport with all flights canceled for 3days! Crazy East Coast weather! I recommend using her services as she is professional and thorough. Thank you Brionna!

This was my 2nd time booking Hailee & she went above and beyond! When she arrived at my house, one of the smoke detectors was going off and she made sure the house was safe before leaving my pets at home alone. She was calm and professional in dealing with me and that unexpected situation. She takes wonderful pictures and truly seems to care about my pets. I recommend her highly!

Rebecca is awesome! She is very communicative, pays great attention to details, and super sweet too. This is our second time booking with her and it’s been a blessing to have someone we trust and feel comfortable with watching our cats while we are out of town. I would book her more often but I only really go away once a year. She is the first person I’d think of if I need a sitter for any of my cats or dogs.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
