“Nicole took great care of our dog while we were on vacation. Not only did she walk and care for our dog daily, she communicated regularly and checked in whenever she had questions. She is personable, attentive to details, and a total natural when it comes to caring for pets. We would totally ask Nicole to care for our pet again and highly recommend her to other pet owners.”

“This was my first time with Hannah. She was very accommodating, timely, clean and took great care of my girls. I really appreciated the small things like cleaning the dog bowls after feeding and picking up poop in the yard. That was going the extra mile to me.”

“Lissi is the best. My cat is usually a bit hesitant with people she doesn’t know, but Lissi helped her warm up so quickly. She treated her like family and truly went above and beyond. Thank you so much, Lissi.”

“Jessica was so flexible with our schedule and was so helpful. She sent so many pictures of our kitty’s and gave us peace of mind while we were gone! Thank you Jessica😁”

About: I’ve been with dog since I was very young and adopted mine own on 2020 July from a rescue center in Henry, CA. I’m so lucky to have him (Noodie) with us since then. He’s our youngest family member and definitely got spoiled. =) Just let me know in advance and I’ll try to accommodate. I am working from home so could be flexible. Pretty early morning and late afternoon and evening to avoid excessive heat. My Noodie has been spoiled for sure. He used to be having separation anxiety however after those past year confidence and trust we build among everyone in this family, he’s right now totally fine with stay home on his own.
“Andrea did a great job with my pups! She was thorough during the site visit with her questions on how to care for my babies. She was prompt and maintained communication throughout and took some really great pictures. She clearly enjoyed spending time with the dogs and even took the time to cuddle the pups when they needed it. Will definitely use her again!”

About: Caring for family pets since for the past twelve years, walking, feeding, bathing, and taking care of a variety of breeds of all different sizes I am currently working part time, so I have plenty of free time to fit your pet into my schedule. Weekdays and afternoons are best. I have a high fenced yard with a securely latching gate and plenty of play space, with a single friendly dog willing to keep your pet company
“I would be asking her again when I need help. She was wonderful. I had many requests during a one hour visit and she did everything! My baby also seemed she had a good time with her. Thank you!”

“Letting someone into your home take care of your oets is a nerve-racking experience. We are so grateful to have found Vy. She was very thorough on making sure she understood what our pets needs were before, even stopping by before the term started. She was a great communicator, letting us know every time she stopped by with photos and we felt like we were there real time in terms of updates. It really put our minds at ease. We’ll definitely be rebooking with her next time we head out of town!”
About: I’m a new dog mom to a german shepherd mix puppy and am also caring for a maltese + yorkie mix. I’ve been around and taken care of dogs since I was little. I started dog sitting 5 years ago when my cousins or friends needed a helping hand! I am an expert at feeding, walking, and playing with furry friends. I currently end work at 4 pm so I can get to your furry friend by 4:30 till whenever you need. Weekends I am available all day. Currently have two dogs that are mainly inside the home. When they go to play in the backyard, there are fences and we watch them to make sure they are safe. I would follow all safety measures protocols when watching your pet in your home.

“Livio dropped by our house at exactly the time agreed and checked on our cat and dog. He cleaned the water fountain, cleaned up left over food and put new food. He did a great job, highly recommended.”

About: I have had my dog since I was in 6th grade. She is now 8 years old. I love being active and so I am always willing to go outside and run around/play with the dogs. I also love giving pets some outside time because that is just as important as staying at home and resting. Love a good balance. For my senior pets, I also love to stay at home and cuddle while watching some good relaxing show. I am also a rule follower (Rules are there for us to keep!). If there are any rules or anything that must be followed for your pets, you can count on me! I love all the different personalities and characteristics of each pet. I can't wait to meet yours! I am currently working part-time with some good flexible hours, so I will be available to take care of your pets majority of the week. Weekends are completely open for any time for now. On weekdays I would love to talk more and discuss more about schedule and availabilities! I have a pet who loves to have and meet new friends. I have a backyard where I let my dog go outside to let out some of her zoomies. The backyard is well-fenced and blocked. There are time to time visitors from our friendly neighborhood cats, but the cats do not come if there are people or other animals outside. (Pretty safe and friendly).
About: I was recently accepted to Cornell University for veterinary school and have some time to spare for your fur babies before I leave in August! I worked one year for a nonprofit veterinary service called CAMP clinics and another year at an emergency and specialty medicine pet hospital. At home I own a sweet Labrador retriever named Luna and a sassy hamster named Davinci. I am comfortable with giving oral medications if your pet is able to take them in a treat without being restrained. ✨ New to Rover? Use code NATALV52479 for $20 off your first booking ✨ I am free until August, but will be going to Asia from April 14th-June 10th (with some weeks in May that I will be back) as a final trip before starting vet school. Besides those dates I am fully available to help care for your pet whenever convenient for you. I love taking my dog for a walk in the park or playing tug of war/fetch in the evenings. I have a very active dog and would love to play with yours! I understand that dogs may have certain anxieties regarding their surroundings or other people/animals and take great care to make sure they are comfortable and properly cared for.
About: I cared for my own dog for 15 wonderful years and have since been providing loving, dependable care for other pups—walks, drop-ins, and overnight stays included! I have a big backyard and a house full of people who love dogs and can provide lots of attention. I have taken care of mostly small to medium sized dogs but I have also done some drop ins/walks for bigger dogs such as Huskies. Hi! My name is Jordan. I’m a 20 year old full-time college student. I also babysit from time to time. Currently, I have a flexible schedule. I am new to Rover but within the last 5 years I have had many jobs taking care of family-friends’ and my babysitting clients’ dogs. I am able to take dogs on walks during the day, drop in to a clients house every few hours for play, potty, and food breaks, and can have overnight stays at my house. I am also able to administer medication if needed. I have a big backyard in my house in which dogs can run around and play and there is also a nearby park where I can take dogs on a walk to. I live with my family who can provide additional love and attention. Since we no longer have a dog of our own, I love having the opportunity to take care of another dog. I aim to meet the needs of your dogs and ensure your dog’s safety and wellbeing. For overnight stays in clients’ homes I am happy to go over all expectations for my time in your home.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - La Palma
We are very lucky to have found Lissi to help watch our fur baby when we are away. Our fur baby is our family, and it is very hard for us to leave her alone, yet Lissi made it easy for us to be able to enjoy our time off knowing our baby is taken care of. She is very great with communicating, very friendly, and respectful. You can tell she cares a lot about animals, and that gives us a peace of mind.
Jennifer was kind, caring, and compassionate. She treated sunny with care and love. In addition, she gave us daily updates on how sunny was doing. I would highly recommend her to any pet owner. Sunny is usually afraid of strangers, but she immediately warmed up to Jennifer . Jennifer was asked to administer a complicated set of instructions for care of sunny, including handling medication and specific food. She did this very well and we are well pleased with her.

We’ve used Michelle twice now, and she has taken great care of our two cats both times, including a week-long stay recently. She is responsible, dependable, and gave us peace of mind while we were away. We appreciated knowing our cats were being well cared for and wouldn’t hesitate to use her again in the future

Livio and Chen took great care of our cat Micky this past week! They were super communicative and kept us updated throughout with lots of pix and videos of Micky. They also brought to our attention a potential concern to follow up on which we really appreciate!

This is my second time booking with Asmita to take care of my two cats, and once again, she provided amazing service. She is very easy to work with, attentive, and always made sure my cats were well taken care of. She regularly refilled their water, followed all of my requests and instructions, and even helped take care of my mail and packages, which I truly appreciated. What I appreciated the most was the constant updates through pictures and videos, which gave me peace of mind while traveling and being away from my cats. Most importantly, she spent quality time with them and made them feel comfortable and cared for. I will definitely continue working with Asmita whenever I travel, and her service has always been 100%.

Evan was absolutely wonderful with Morrie! From the start, he was communicative, reliable, and clearly a true animal lover. Morrie came home happy and relaxed, which tells me everything I need to know. Evan sent updates that gave me real peace of mind while I was away. I never had to wonder how things were going. If you’re looking for someone who will treat your pet like their own, Evan is your person. We’ll definitely be booking again!

Dianne has been an incredible help with my dog! She is consistently punctual, highly responsive, and communicates timely throughout the process. Most importantly, she brings a fantastic positive energy that my four-legged friends absolutely love. She is incredibly easy to work with, and we are so pleased to have her support. I would highly recommend Dianne to anyone looking for a reliable and caring walker!

Selena did a great job taking care of my dog, BB. Before coming over, she asked about his routine, personality, and my preferences, which immediately made me feel comfortable leaving him with her. She made sure BB was fed, comfortable, and not lonely, and she actually spent time playing with him in the backyard and giving him attention instead of rushing through the visit. I felt really at ease trusting Selena in our home (which means a lot with all the horror stories you hear). She sent updates and plenty of photos, and BB looked happy and relaxed the whole time. She’s kind, reliable, and easy to communicate with—I’d definitely book her again! 🐶✨

- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
