About: I have my own 2 dogs I take care of. I’ve also had dogs in the past I looked after. I also sometimes take care of my sister’s pets. I love to take care of puppies. I have lots of patience and can train them to do simple tricks. I don’t mind taking care of either big or small dogs as all are welcomed. I have online classes for college where I just do the homework. A majority of it is done by Monday leaving me with plenty of free time throughout the week. I work part-time as a cashier but currently only work one shift a week which is on Saturdays from 10-4 which leaves me with free time after work. I usually like to play with my dogs first and once they’re tired I relax with them and give them pets as they start to sleep. They have their feeding time and they do have commands to be able to eat but once they’re eating I let them be and make sure they don’t play right after eating. On a really hot day I’ll grab the hose and spray them gently (which my dogs love) and they’ll start to play with the water which helps cool them down. I’m really patient when it comes to bath time so if dogs get nervous during that I try to get them comfortable with what I’m doing and reward them after each step.
About: I have cat sat for 15 years. In college my roommate had rescued a cat but I have never physically owned my own. I don’t mind if you have multiple cats. About: I'm a masters student in biology at Cal State Long Beach with professional pet care experience from working as an Animal Care Technician/Kennel Assistant at Franklin County Animal Hospital. About: My dream since I was a young child was to own a huge piece of land and rescue every animal that needed a home. That's not reality for me, but that's my heart. I've taken care of a variety of animals and dog breeds since I was young. I've trained puppies and cats as well as walked many dogs through their senior years. We have a huge fenced in yard and safe neighborhood for walks. I'm currently working full time and only available for weekends, but I'll soon be off work for summer vacation. I work at a school as an instructional assistant. So the pet care will have to be before and after work. I have weekends off. About: I'm a masters student in biology at Cal State Long Beach with professional pet care experience from working as an Animal Care Technician/Kennel Assistant at Franklin County Animal Hospital. Here, I primarily cared for boarded cats and dogs by giving medication by injection, orally, and other routes. Additionally, I fed animals as directed to ensure they actually eat, cleaned kennel spaces, and had playtime with dogs after their walks. I grew up with cats and have had the main responsibility of training dogs in my family for all of my life (the origin of my 20 years experience)! At my home, I can ensure pets are in a safe environment by walking them in my large backyard and/or in a safe area of town. Additionally, I can ensure your pets safety by only allowing interactions with my pets while supervised. At your home, I can follow specific directions on where your pet(s) likes to go, how they prefer to be interacted with, and discuss the preferred length of time you'd prefer me to be in your home. About: I had a family dog for 13 years! Luna was such a good girl and very energetic. She has since passed and her energy is deeply missed! Having so much time with Luna allows me to say I have great experience with dogs both in their senior and puppy years. I am a full time college student. Starting in September my schooling is fully online. That way I will have plenty of time to tend to the pets. I have a fully secured backyard with grass, shade and cement. The yard is a good size for dogs to play and relax. As for inside, there is an AC for hot days and the dogs are allowed on the couches and beds.
