About: Growing up in a rural environment with many kinds of animals has given me a unique perspective on connecting with them. I fed, cared for and played with many dogs and cats at one time and over a great many years. I look forward to treating your pet with the greatest of care and respect! Pet care is self care!! About: I've had pets my entire life. I understand that they're a treasured member of the family. I'm also a weekly volunteer at the LA County Carson/Gardena Animal Shelter. I've received extra training on animal behavior & handling. I love giving animals whatever type of attention they need and I'm extremely patient with them. I'm equally comfortable with dogs & cats (and pretty much everything except orca whales). Overnight stays, walks, giving medication, litter boxes, feeding, you name it. Petting animals is good for our mental health, so let's meet more pets! I work full time in an office Mon-Thurs with an hour commuteon each end. While I can do overnight house sitting, I'm gone all day (12hrs) at work so not available for walks/potty breaks. I work remotely on Fridays, so lots of flexibility. I have two extremely particular kitties at home, so unfortunately I cannot offer care in my own home. But I am happy to come to yours!

About: Hi! I’m Sara, I’ve been an animal-lover my whole life! I have two kitties of my own, and I’ve been dog/cat-sitting for the last several years around my neighborhood :) I worked for two years at a cat fostering facility, caring for 25 kitties at a time (administering medications, cleaning up, feeding, etc.) I also work at Medieval Times with the horses (big fur babies), so I love being able to work in close proximity to animals! (He's not aggressive, just young, wild, and still learning the rules of interacting with humans.) Until we found her, we've struck out trying to find a good fit for someone to walk him. From the very first meeting, Alex's calm demeanor, skilled handling and complete love for dogs were obvious, and allowed her to view my dog's behaviors through an empathetic lens, which in turn allowed my dog to calm down and trust her pretty quickly.
