“Cathy totally took care of my little ones while I was away for the weekend. She went above and beyond making sure they got food, meds, cuddles & took good walks. She even helped to keep my senior pup clean, dry & comfy. She’s communicative & kept the house in good shape too. Definitely working w/ her again.”

“Great experience!! Brendan was very thorough and communicative throughout the weekend. He made the extra effort to give the girls some extra walk time and a post walk meal. I will definitely be booking again!”

About: I’m new to Rover but not new to caring for pets. I grew up with dogs and understand how important they are to families. I treat every pet like my own – with patience, attention, and lots of love. I send regular photo updates so you always feel comfortable while you’re away. I’m responsible, punctual, and truly enjoy spending time with animals :) I’m currently in college, and pet care fits naturally into my routine. I’m consistently available Mondays, Fridays , and weekends from 11am–5pm, which allows me to give pets my full attention during visits, walks, or drop-ins without rushing. I’m reliable about showing up on time and sticking to agreed schedules. I live in a large, clean apartment and keep a calm, organized environment. I’m attentive to cleanliness, routines, and safety, and I always follow an owner’s instructions closely.

About: I’ve been around pets my whole life. I have experience with walking, boarding, sitting, training, grooming and more. Though the majority of my professional experience revolves around dog walking, watching, and training, I also am very familiar and fond of cats. Currently I have one senior Shih Tzu named Marcus, he’s been with me since he was 6 weeks old and is now turning 13 in August. The love and devotion I have for my pup is the same I have for every animal I encounter, I am very passionate about providing the same level of care Marcus receives to each pet I am trusted with. Currently I work hybrid remote and on site as an interior designer. My flexible schedule allows plenty of time to service my fellow pet parents! Pets are allowed to roam freely in my home but I am happy to accommodate crate trained animals as well. My small dog loves company, he is very playful and friendly. As for sittings at my clients homes I follow all instructions thoroughly ensuring that your pet stays at ease, on schedule and full of happiness until your return.
“Jessica stepped up to help out while Calli dog's regular walker has been on leave. She gives great feedback, is prompt, and you can tell she really cares about doing a great job! Happy to add you to the team! Too bad we're moving out of LB soon :(”
About: I’ve been dog walking and pet sitting for friends :) and family for over 9 years. I am comfortable handling all dogs, cats & and even bunnies!!! I truly love them all! I believe man’s best friend deserves plenty of love, attention, and care. :). I understand that busy schedules can sometimes make it hard to give pets all the time they need, and I’d love to help provide that extra support. Whether it’s playtime, potty breaks, walks, cuddles, or companionship, I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I’m currently back in school full-time pursuing another degree, and when I’m not in class or studying, you’ll usually find me outside enjoying the sunshine. I have fond memories of working for a family friend as a dog walker during my undergraduate years, and now that I’m back in school as a postgraduate student, I’d love the opportunity to help fellow pet owners again. I’m very dependable, detail oriented, and a strong rule follower who appreciates clear instructions and routines. I will carefully follow your pet care guidelines to make sure your pups stay safe, happy, and comfortable while in my care. I’m also mindful about respecting your home and ensuring both your dogs and cats are well cared for every step of the way.
“Kayla was great with my rambunctious Dalmatian! She ensured to tire her out each walk. I received several photos and a detailed description each time. She even asked before treating my pup to a pup cup, which I thought was very thoughtful. I would definitely use her in the future!”

Gabby helped us last minute over a holiday weekend with our dog Frankie. She was incredibly sweet and professional, flexible and communicative! We felt great leaving Frankie in her hands, even during the worst weekend of the year for dogs (fireworks!). We will definitely be working with her again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
