Both pick ups, and drop offs take place outside (detailed specifications are provided upon confirmation of bookings)! All scheduled m&g’s (meet and greets) will be taking place on Saturdays and/or Sundays, so please keep this in mind when requesting bookings! For instance, if you would like us to care for your pup over the weekend, an m&g can be scheduled on the Saturday and/or Sunday prior to thereof. I live in a secure apartment that provides your pup with the space to both roam and laze about. Dogs are amazing companions to both love and care for, and we’d love to spoil your furbaby as much as you would throughout their stay! The sweetest lab ever, Cali, will keep ur pet company while they stay with us as well! She loves all dogs and humans! :) 🐕🐾 In concern for the safety and well being of both my pup and yours, I request that you please keep your pup up to date on all vaccines, flea & tick medications, and ID tags. Please contact me with both any questions or special needs that your dog may require!

About: I’ve taken care of cats, dogs, and small mammals my whole life. I am comfortable playing with, grooming, administering medication or even trimming nails if needed. I’d love to help care for your furry family member(s)! I work from home and have a flexible schedule. Usually on weekdays, lunchtime, afternoons, or evenings are best, but I can sometimes accommodate other times if needed. Weekends I am available at any time. I’m familiar with the area and have a knack for attention to details. I’ll be sure to follow all your instructions and keep you updated.

About: I have experience with many types of animals in the past few years. From large dogs such as huskies, golden retrievers to bulldogs. To smaller dogs such as Shih Tzu, Frenchies and even new born puppies! I also have experience with bird care and rodents. A love for animals means to give them the best quality care. I am currently working part time with mid day-closing shifts. I tend to have 2-3 days off a weeks, which allows me to be able to have dedicated time to take care of people’s furry babies. I am very aware of my surroundings so when it comes to client homes. I’ll keep a good eye on not just the pet, but the care for the home. Any loose toys, objects or cables will be protected and remain out of sight of the pet for their safety. I’ll take care and make sure your pet has the fun they need, while maintaining a tidy home.

About: I’ve spent much of my adult life in roles where people trusted me with things that mattered to them like their homes, businesses, teams and even careers. I spent my undergraduate years as an Assistant Property Manager before becoming an LAX operations leader and former full-time recruiter, and I bring that same sense of responsibility to more than 10 years of caring for pets. I have especially good experience with senior animals: more than half of the dogs and cats I’ve cared for have been seniors. I love their personalities and am comfortable adjusting to slower walks, medication schedules, established routines and the little preferences that become especially important as pets get older. Even re-potty training them! At the other end of the spectrum, I’m an active person and outrigger paddler, so energetic dogs are very welcome too. Long walks, play and outdoor time fit my lifestyle after having been in grad school in upstate New York. My approach is individualized. My experience has taught me how much better the outcome is when you listen first, ask good questions and understand what constitutes a good fit. Pets aren’t any different. I want to learn their personality and normal routine so I can meet them where they are. My goal is for you to come home thinking, "My pets and home are happy, healthy, safe and ready for me to come back without skipping a beat." My schedule is flexible, and I plan my day around each pet’s routine. I often work from my computer remotely during the day and have broad availability for walks, drop-ins and house sitting. I do have activities outside the home, including early-morning outrigger paddling, but I make sure feeding, potty breaks, medication and other important routines are taken care of first. For house sitting, I’m generally a good fit for pets who are comfortable alone for 4–6 hours at a time, or longer when that is already part of their normal routine. I’m happy to talk through your pet’s schedule before booking and adjust where I reasonably can. I like to begin with a meet-and-greet so I can understand your pet’s normal behavior, routine, medications, household setup and emergency plan before care begins. I review instructions carefully and ask questions upfront that may include how you want me to communicate if something unexpected happens. I pay attention to changes that can be easy to miss, from unusual itching or appetite changes to changes in energy, bathroom habits or behavior, and I’ll let you know when something seems out of the ordinary. I’m equally conscientious with the home itself. I’m a “leave it better than you found it” person. I keep the spaces I use tidy, handle mail and packages according to your preferences, take out trash, water plants and care for linens when appropriate. If you already have cleaners, gardeners or other small business service providers, I’m happy to work around the systems you already have.

About: I joined Rover in October 2025 but I’ve been caring for animals for decades and have a deep appreciation for the comfort and companionship they bring. Before joining Rover, I was (and still am!) the go-to resource for friends and family who needed cat, dog, and house sitting. Now, I’m excited serve the Long Beach community :) Whether I’m spending time with a playful pup or a senior, I’m committed to providing attentive, reliable, and compassionate care. I can also provide care in the early or late evenings, working around dinner and gym time. For house sitting requests, I am currently able to offer spending 8-10 hours with your pet during the day, but am unable to offer overnight care at this time. I do my best to keep pets comfortable by sticking to their usual routine. I follow all instructions for feeding, walks, medication, training, and anything else they need. I’m careful with doors and gates, clean up after them and myself, and send updates so you know how things are going.

About: I’ve always loved animals, specifically dogs. Since I can remember, I’ve always had animals. Growing up we were limited, but once I was old enough I’ve had multiple at a time. I work from home, and so does my partner. We walk our dog at least 4 times a day because she’s older and needs more potty breaks. My dog roams free but if you need me to crate, I can. We live by the dog beach so we like to take our girl often! We don’t have a yard but we have a beach.

About: I've always had a strong love for animals. Whether soft or scaly, feathered or fluffy, animals make life special and more meaningful. My love for pets started with a cat, then a hamster, more cats, dogs, and a fish here and there... Nowadays you’ll probably find me with my two orange cats and a Scooby Doo dog. In addition to drop-ins and sittings, my pet/animal care experience includes volunteering at PetSmart and the SPCA of Long Beach. It’s been a joy to care for all the many pets and animals throughout my life! I work full time Monday through Friday but am open some weeknights after 5pm. About: My name is Andy! I am a young professional who works from home in the Belmont Shore neighborhood of Long Beach, CA. I have a Boston Terrier and grew up with 2 labs. I walked dogs for various families throughout high school and college and have volunteered at Wagtime doggy daycare in Washington, D.C. I am an enthusiast and experienced dog-walker and care-taker. My love for dogs will be evident the first time you meet me! I am also responsible, punctual, and trust-worthy. You can count me on me to not only hold our appointments, but go above and beyond for you and your pup. Your dog's safety and happiness are very important to me, and I pay close attention to details like medical/physical needs and comfort-level around other dogs. After a session, you can count on me to lock your home and leave it exactly as I found it out, with the addition of a well-walked and happy dog. I work full-time from home and have flexible availability during the week and on weekends. I'm also open to nighttime visits. I love a good night walk! I have a 4 year old Boston Terrier who means the world to me. I also grew up with an elderly lab with arthritis in her legs. I know how much dogs mean to their pet owners (parents, really). It's very important to me that your dog is happy and that you can go about your day worry-free knowing I'm taking good care of your pet.
