About: I've loved dogs for as long as I can remember! As a teen and young adult, I would often offer to walk roommates' or friends' dogs because I enjoyed spending time with them. I’ve helped people and dogs of all sizes and ages, from puppies to senior dogs that need a bit more TLC. I developed an interest in dog psychology to better understand how they communicate which evolved into helping train friend's dogs until I adopted my own Staffordshire Terrier in 2014. When I adopted him, he was very weary of people and had a hard time socializing with dogs. Fast forward to now (and lots of lots of research into dog psychology and training), he's in a place where he enjoys meeting new people and other dogs! I'd love the opportunity to work with you and your pup(s)! I'm currently working a flexible part time schedule, so please reach out and let me know what you are looking for and let's make it work! Let me know how you take care of your pet and I will be happy to do the same! While new to Rover, watching, walking, training, and overall loving on dogs has always come easily to me. And as a dog owner myself, I know the importance of being confident that your dog (and home) is cared for in the way that they need when you're not around.

“Wolfie is a rescue and he is super nervous around humans, but learning. Jen is the first person besides us to walk Wolfie. She definitely helped Wolfie make progress. Wolfie went from barking at her upon meeting her to adoring her at the end of the walk. Jen is super chill and great at observing a dog’s behavior and adjusting to his/her needs. Overall a 10/10.”

About: I was raised with both cats and dogs so I have a strong love for all animals (reptiles still creep me out a bit tho). Also, I have looked after and walked my grandparents dog for a long time now, so I understand it is a big responsibility, but I am completely willing to take on because animals deserve everything and more. I have recently just graduated from college and I am starting a very slow job search right now so for the time being I have plenty of time daily for pet care and other activities. Although I cannot invite pets into my home because I am still living with my parents, I will care diligently for your home and your animals with the same respect I would want you to give to mine.

About: Hi there! I’m a proud Boston Terrier owner and dog-lover in Belmont Shore. I like to stay active and I would love to take your dog on a walk (my dog is lazy and would rather stay home!). Some places I like to dog-walk are the green belt and the beach path. I’m very experienced in taking care of short-nosed dogs. I can't wait to meet your pup! I work remote so my schedule is very flexible. For day care, I typically take dogs out for a morning, midday, and evening walk and then they can relax in the house or yard while I work. I have a small, fenced front yard that I allow dogs to spend time in with supervision. I have a small dog (Boston Terrier) that will also be in the home if you book day care. He is very friendly and enjoys other dogs after a few minutes warming up to them!

“Soleil was AMAZING, and I genuinely cannot recommend her enough! She took such wonderful care of Lemon while I was away at a conference, and I never had to worry for a second. She was reliable, communicative, incredibly sweet with Lemon, and just made the whole experience so easy. She also went so far above and beyond what I asked her to do. I came home and realized she had cleaned my cat’s litter box AND taken out the trash—neither of which was remotely part of our arrangement! It was such a thoughtful surprise after a long trip, and honestly just says so much about the kind of person she is. I came home to happy pets and a home that had clearly been really cared for, which is about the best feeling you can have after traveling. Soleil is kind, thoughtful, dependable, and an absolute gem. I would hire her again in a heartbeat and would recommend her to basically anyone who will listen. Lemon and I are officially huge Soleil fans!”

About: Hi I'm Lucy! I'm a lifelong dog lover who grew up with two Lab/Shepard mixes my whole life and 7 years of experience of dog care! I'm a huge dog lover, and this past year my husband and I adopted a German Shepard/Great Pyrenes/Aussie named Bodhi from the animal shelter - and he's my best friend! I have experience training dogs of different breeds and can read dog body language very well. With my dog, I have done extensive training including potty training, basic commands, recall, E-collar training, and more! When taking care of your pup, I treat them as my own and make sure I tailor my services to what works best for them. As a fellow dog owner, I understand how important your guidelines and expectations are for your pup, and their safety and happiness are my top priority. I understand how hard it can be to work full time while having your furry bff at home. Whether you have a young pup or old soul, I'd love to help you take care of them so can have peace of mind and they can have fun! I'm currently working part time and obtaining a yoga teacher certification, so I have plenty of free time! I'm my schedule is free on Monday-Thursday for hours between 6am- 6pm. I am not available for any Friday-Sunday work due to my yoga teacher training. I love taking my dog to the dog beach at Long Beach and as well as going on long walks! When I'm caring for your pups, I make sure they will get plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. As a dog owner of a very active breed, I know how important it is to burn their energy and stimulate their brain! I will never push your pup to the edge of their comfort zone - and know the body language they portray when they are uncomfortable. I will always talk through your expectations and how we can collaborate to take the best care of your pup at the very beginning of their care. As a dog owner I understand that your directions and expectations for your dog are the most important thing!

About: I’ve been taking care of family members’ and friend’s pets for the past 10 years, aside from my own dog! Taking care of dogs and cats brings me so much joy. I currently work a full time job M-F from 8am-5pm. I can check in on your pet in the mornings, the occasional afternoon, and evenings. I carry pepper spray with me while I walk to protect myself and the pet I’m with! I am very careful with checking that doors are locked as well.
