“Shelli was awesome! She showed up on time..hung out with Mystic, took her for a walk and played with her long enough to decrease her puppy energy… I was able to enjoy my day knowing that Mystic was taken care of❤️”

About: What sets me apart is the genuine love and patience I bring to every pet I care for. I’ve been around dogs since I was 7 and now have my own toy poodle, so I understand the attention, patience, and consistency pets need. I’m especially comfortable with puppies, energetic dogs, potty breaks, playtime, and keeping pets company. I’ll always take the time to learn each pet’s personality, routine, and individual needs so they feel happy, safe, and loved! I’m available for pet care Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM–8:30 AM and 5:30 PM–8:00 PM. On weekends, I’m available all day and can be flexible with your pet’s needs and schedule! I treat every pet like family! In my client’s home, I follow their routine closely, including feeding, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and plenty of love and attention. I’m respectful of your home and always make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away.
“Kennedy was such a great sitter! I needed a last minute sitter and he was able to help me check in on my 13 year old pug all week. He gave her lots of love and provided updates. As a pet sitter myself, I 100% recommend Kennedy and his services. Reliable, friendly, and a true pet lover!”
About: I’ve always had pets growing up and have always pet sat for neighbors and friends. I always stick to your pets scheduled routine. I also genuinely love to spend time with pets other than mine. 😊 I’m currently a full time student at csulb studying Biochem, so I have Fridays and weekends pretty much free! I do however have some gaps in between classes that I could squeeze in pet drop ins. My pets along with clients pets usually stick to or have a schedule that I always like to follow as I find this creates the most amount of comfort for them especially while their parent is away. I love to spend time with pets especially now that I am away from my pets back home for college.
About: Pet care has been a passion of mine since I was little. I can provide care for pets any size and shape. I like to ensure that your pet is cared for with attention to detail and make sure that pets always have fun when they are with me. I currently own a senior dog, so I understand their needs very well. I have raised puppies since I was young and have been through every stage of owning a dog. I am a college student with availability in the mornings, evenings, and on the weekends. I am always willing to communicate the best times for you and your pets for walks, drop-ins, and play time. In my own experience with handling pets, I like to provide routines for meal time, walks, and drop-ins. When walking pets, I am very flexible and love to give dogs the leisurely time they deserve. If your pet has difficulties with distractions or pulling, this is not an issue because I have dealt with this with my own pets. I can give your mind ease when you are away from your furry loved ones by knowing they are cared for by a trusted friend.

“Jennifer always does a spectacular job when she watches my cats!! She spends the time with them and I know my cats are getting the best care when I'm out of town. Highly recommend her!”

About: What sets me apart is that caring for animals has been a lifelong passion, not simply a job. I’ve been working with and volunteering with animals since 2010, but my love for animals began long before that. Throughout college, I studied Animal Science, started my own rescue, and gained hands-on experience caring for animals ranging from dogs and cats to reptiles, birds, amphibians, and arachnids. One of the experiences that shaped me most was adopting my late Miniature Pinscher. He had been returned by multiple adopters because he was considered “complicated” and was scheduled to be euthanized that same week. I brought him home and soon realized that his behavior was rooted in a history of abuse and fear. It took nearly two years of patience, consistency, and unconditional love to help him learn to trust people again. Watching my best friend slowly become comfortable, confident, and trusting was one of the greatest accomplishments of my life. That experience taught me something I carry into every animal I care for: sometimes, what looks like “bad behavior” is simply an animal communicating fear, anxiety, or a past experience they don't know how to overcome. I understand that every animal is different. Whether your pet is energetic, anxious, elderly, shy, reactive, or simply needs a little extra patience, I take the time to understand their individual personality and needs. I don’t simply watch pets, I build trust with them, advocate for them, and treat them like they’re my own. 🐾 I’m currently going back to school to pursue my Master’s Degree, and pet sitting is the perfect way for me to make the most of my free time. Rather than simply filling my schedule, I get to spend that time doing something I genuinely love, which is caring for and spending time with fur babies! My school schedule also gives me the flexibility to dedicate quality time and attention to your pets. Whether they need companionship, playtime, walks, or simply someone to keep them company while you’re away, I’m excited to make pet care a meaningful part of my routine. I treat every pet in my care as if they were my own, with patience, compassion, and plenty of love. I’m not an accredited dog trainer, but I have years of hands-on experience and working with my own dogs and cats. I use patience, consistency, positive reinforcement, and clear boundaries to help pets feel comfortable and understood. When caring for pets in my home, I want them to feel like they are truly at home. I do my best to maintain their normal routines, provide plenty of attention and companionship, and make sure they feel safe and comfortable. When caring for pets in your home, I will treat with the same respect I would give my own. I keep their environment clean and orderly, follow your instructions carefully, and maintain their usual feeding, medication, exercise, and daily routines whenever possible. I also understand that caring for your pet means caring for their home, too. I want you and your pet to feel comfortable and confident while you’re away. Your home is your pet’s safe place, and I will treat both your home and your fur baby with the care, respect, and love they deserve.
About: Hi, my name is Sereina! I've grown up around dogs and have always been someone reliable and trustworthy around others pets as well. I know how to handle and care for dogs and cats of all different sizes, ages, and breeds. I would love to keep growing my experience and getting to know families and their pet family members as well! Currently I am working a part time job and visit my family in San Diego frequently. I am in school during the fall as a full time student but have extra time right now in the summer. Caring for your pet is another way for me to fill up the time throughout the week and meet new pets! As your pet sitter, I can be very by the book. If you have any special requests or know how to counteract any known behaviors from your pet I am capable of following your standards and following what is most comfortable and right for your pet. I will treat your pet with the same love and respect you have for them (and then some!). I am patient and will do everything I can to hold yours and your pets trust.
“Mary is the best! She gives great detailed descriptions, prompt, has compassion and love for our high maintenance cat. She has always been so good with him, and he can be difficult at times. She always says what a joy he is to watch. I would give her 10 stars if possible! She also did some extra duties while we were gone! Mary is the best!❤️”

About: I grew up in a house where there always seemed to be animals in every corner, so it's probably no surprise that I ended up making a career out of caring for them. For the last 15 years, I've worked with hundreds of animal rescues and supervised veterinary teams to care for animals of all kinds. I've learned everything from reading behaviors to administering meds and cleaning wounds...but just as importantly, I've learned how to make animal's feel safe and loved. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else. I've fostered dozens and have three of my own (all with different energy levels, high and low) so trust that I know how important it is to find someone who will love them like family. In a way I'd want for my own pets. I'm also currently expecting my first baby (yay!), so I'm taking a step back from my regular career for a while. That means I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give your pets the attention they deserve. I'm currently taking a step back from my full-time career to enjoy my first pregnancy (I'm still quite early), so I have a very flexible schedule and am around most days :) I always try to keep routines as normal as possible while you're away. I'll send plenty of updates (I usually have my camera with me, so expect lots of photos!) and make sure they get all the love, exercise, and attention they're used to. I'm comfortable administering meds, performing injections, wound care, nail trims, and anal gland expressions. One of my dogs is a GSP, so high-energy dogs are right up my alley, and I'm always happy to keep up with walks, adventures, or training. Honestly, I'm here to care for your pet in whatever way makes you feel most comfy, even if that just means sitting on the couch while we watch some old movies. I'm also happy to water plants, bring in mail, or take care of the little things around your home while you're away. My goal is that you come home to a happy pet and a house that's exactly how you left it.
About: Hi there! I've been working with pets for 9 years and counting. I specialize in big/small dogs, cats, and small mammals. Additionally, I have 4 years of experience caring for reptiles and aquatic animals. If you have a 'weird' animal or an animal that is not listed for care on Rover, contact me! I'll be more than happy to care for your critter with proper written instructions :) I'm currently a college student with morning and evening classes. My daily schedule is open for early to late afternoon and nightly visits. Upon contact a descriptive schedule will be provided for the length of pet care to ensure the best outcome for your fuzzy friend. I can ensure safety and trust between me and your fuzzy friend by respecting their boundaries and following their schedules. Additionally, I carry experience with pet CPR, hold an emergency crate in my car, and will adapt to any needs your pet describes.

About: I’ve been dog sitting since I was 16 for friends, family, and online clients, and I genuinely love being around animals. I’m responsible, respectful, and very attentive to each pet’s routine and personality. I know trusting someone with your pet — and sometimes your home — is a big deal, so I always make communication and reliability a priority. I’m happy to send plenty of updates and photos, follow any instructions you leave, and make sure your pet feels safe and comfortable while you’re away. Whether they love walks, playtime, or just hanging out, I’ll treat your pet with the same care and attention I’d want for my own. I’m a college student with a pretty flexible schedule, and I have my own car, so getting back and forth for pet care is never an issue. I’m always willing to make the trip to make sure your pet gets the attention, walks, feeding, and care they need. I also work part-time, but my shifts are typically only 3–4 hours, so I’m never away for long periods of time. I’m great at planning around my classes and work schedule and making pet care a priority! Safety, Trust & Environment I always try to keep pets as close to their normal routine as possible so they feel comfortable and safe. I follow all feeding, walking, medication, and care instructions closely, and I make sure they get plenty of attention, playtime, and affection based on their personality! When I’m in a client’s home, I’m also very respectful of their space and make sure everything is kept clean and secure. I’ll always communicate clearly, send updates and photos, and make sure you feel confident that both your pet and your home are being well taken care of!
About: I have experience with many types of animals in the past few years. From large dogs such as huskies, golden retrievers to bulldogs. To smaller dogs such as Shih Tzu, Frenchies and even new born puppies! I also have experience with bird care and rodents. A love for animals means to give them the best quality care. I am currently working part time with mid day-closing shifts. I tend to have 2-3 days off a weeks, which allows me to be able to have dedicated time to take care of people’s furry babies. I am very aware of my surroundings so when it comes to client homes. I’ll keep a good eye on not just the pet, but the care for the home. Any loose toys, objects or cables will be protected and remain out of sight of the pet for their safety. I’ll take care and make sure your pet has the fun they need, while maintaining a tidy home.
“This is the first time I’ve used Rover and I will definitely use them again! I have two labs and they are my life!!! Christina came over and treated them like her own and even had them perform for some treats!!! At the meet and greet she paid attention to them and didn’t mind a lot of lab kisses! The girls loved her. Thank you Christina and I’ll definitely be using you again…”

“Soleil was AMAZING, and I genuinely cannot recommend her enough! She took such wonderful care of Lemon while I was away at a conference, and I never had to worry for a second. She was reliable, communicative, incredibly sweet with Lemon, and just made the whole experience so easy. She also went so far above and beyond what I asked her to do. I came home and realized she had cleaned my cat’s litter box AND taken out the trash—neither of which was remotely part of our arrangement! It was such a thoughtful surprise after a long trip, and honestly just says so much about the kind of person she is. I came home to happy pets and a home that had clearly been really cared for, which is about the best feeling you can have after traveling. Soleil is kind, thoughtful, dependable, and an absolute gem. I would hire her again in a heartbeat and would recommend her to basically anyone who will listen. Lemon and I are officially huge Soleil fans!”

“Kelsy is absolutely wonderful - she has such a positive energy and our cats took to her right away. She is communicative, dependable, patient, responsive, personable, and most importantly she loves animals and they love her back! I will definitely schedule her services again.”

We had a wonderful experience with Zeni! She was punctual, friendly, and communicated with us throughout her time dropping in for our two cats. It was clear right away that she loves animals, and we could tell our cats loved her too from the pictures she took every visit. We would happily use Zeni’s services again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable pet sitter. Thank you again!!
Jennifer was awesome with her check-ins of my cat. I provided her instructions (she asked clarifying questions) and followed them consistently. It was a relief knowing my cat was looked after responsibly. I highly recommend Jennifer and would request and recommend her services.

Shelli is wonderful! Our pups have a new best friend and love having her come by and spend time with them. Shelli is super communicative, sends pictures throughout the day and takes amazing care of our pups. She came and did a meet-and-greet before her stay to make sure she had all of the info necessary - she's thorough and made me feel super safe and confident having her come and take care of them. Will for sure be using Shelli again and again! :)

Miranda, came to watch my two kitties, Ollie & Finn. She spent a lot of time interacting with them, ensuring they were well fed and watered, and cuddling with them. It was amazing to have someone reliable to check in and spend time in one's space. Miranda was also very communicative about anything that came up, which was great. Would highly recommend!

Bronte was great and very understanding. My cats spent most of her visits hiding because she's new and they don't know her. But Malí eventually ventured out and decided Bronte was ok. Hopefully Malí will tell Felis and he'll come out of hiding next time. Thanks, Bronte!

Shana is great! I hired her to take care of our tortoises that live outside while we were gone for 9 days. Not only did they need daily food and water, but their house also needed to be cleaned regularly. They’re pretty large tortoises so they also make big messes. She updated me every day, took pictures, and I came home to a spotless tortoise enclosure which was a dream. She really cared for them the way we do and I knew she bonded with them from her messages. If you’re looking for someone who is reliable, trustworthy and extremely caring, hire Shana!

Misha went above and beyond while caring for our cat Dante! She sent great pics and we could tell she really cares about animals. She was also flexible with us while we vacationed in a national park with limited service and she made sure Dante was taken care of. Highly recommend her for pet sitting and we'll definitely use her again!

5-Star Review It was easy to recognize from the start that Lisa is a true animal lover. She was prompt for our meet-and-greet with my cat, Ozzie. Lisa is an excellent listener, very knowledgeable about both cats and dogs, and a natural with animals. Throughout the pet-sitting experience, she provided outstanding communication, regular updates, and wonderful photos that gave me peace of mind while I was away. She took the time to work with Ozzie’s schedule and unique personality, making sure he was comfortable and well cared for. Lisa completed every request I made and truly went above and beyond my expectations. I highly recommend Lisa to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and professional pet sitter. I couldn’t be happier 🐾💕
