About: I've loved dogs for as long as I can remember! As a teen and young adult, I would often offer to walk roommates' or friends' dogs because I enjoyed spending time with them. I’ve helped people and dogs of all sizes and ages, from puppies to senior dogs that need a bit more TLC. I developed an interest in dog psychology to better understand how they communicate which evolved into helping train friend's dogs until I adopted my own Staffordshire Terrier in 2014. When I adopted him, he was very weary of people and had a hard time socializing with dogs. Fast forward to now (and lots of lots of research into dog psychology and training), he's in a place where he enjoys meeting new people and other dogs! I'd love the opportunity to work with you and your pup(s)! I'm currently working a flexible part time schedule, so please reach out and let me know what you are looking for and let's make it work! Let me know how you take care of your pet and I will be happy to do the same! While new to Rover, watching, walking, training, and overall loving on dogs has always come easily to me. And as a dog owner myself, I know the importance of being confident that your dog (and home) is cared for in the way that they need when you're not around.
About: I am the biggest dog lover ever!! I truly think they are a gift to the world and I would be honored to help give your pup some lovin! I have grown up with dogs my entire life, including all rescue pups from a variety of backgrounds. I have quite a bit of experience dealing with elderly and ill dogs as well as puppies and fearful/reactive rescue animals! I have life long experience with dog walking, feeding, bathing, training, etc and I consistently volunteer at a local animal shelter where I have learned to create trust and care with fearful, traumatized, and aggressive dogs. I love love love animals and treat them with the utmost respect and care always. I’m a college student at CSULB studying public relations, I also work front desk at a spa! This means I have a much different schedule than many working professionals and am often extremely flexible with my schedule! I am often available during weekday morning, afternoons, etc when many people are at work. I am happy to care for your pet in whichever way you feel is needed for you and your fur baby. I can crate animals if needed or let them have free range if that is what works the best for you! I know that every pet and family are different so I am more than happy to do whatever feels best for you!
“Elise did great staying in our requested schedule and instructions for our two pets. She kept us updated with messages and pictures and her own special treats. Thank you!”

“Shelli & Willie (French Bulldog) have so much fun weekly! He loves when she comes to play and feed him. Additionally I love knowing how well he is taken care of and gets his exercise!”

About: I have raised puppies, as well taken care of senior dogs. I also specialize in primitive breeds like Xoloitzcuintes. I can work with dogs that have extraordinary and challenging temperaments. I will treat your dog like family. I have an extremely open schedule and availability at the moment. I am available at all hours during the day and week. No limitations at the moment. I currently have no space at my home but can take care of your pet at your home. I am kind, patient, and empathic. I can follow detailed instructions and will put your pet and home first.
“Raymond did the best job caring for my kitties when I was gone for a week! We were very specific with our instructions & he absolutely delivered. I know it’s not easy getting meds to one of my skittish babies but he did awesome. Truly went above & beyond. Thank you so much, Raymond!”

About: Hi I'm Lucy! I'm a lifelong dog lover who grew up with two Lab/Shepard mixes my whole life and 7 years of experience of dog care! I'm a huge dog lover, and this past year my husband and I adopted a German Shepard/Great Pyrenes/Aussie named Bodhi from the animal shelter - and he's my best friend! I have experience training dogs of different breeds and can read dog body language very well. With my dog, I have done extensive training including potty training, basic commands, recall, E-collar training, and more! When taking care of your pup, I treat them as my own and make sure I tailor my services to what works best for them. As a fellow dog owner, I understand how important your guidelines and expectations are for your pup, and their safety and happiness are my top priority. I understand how hard it can be to work full time while having your furry bff at home. Whether you have a young pup or old soul, I'd love to help you take care of them so can have peace of mind and they can have fun! I'm currently working part time and obtaining a yoga teacher certification, so I have plenty of free time! I'm my schedule is free on Monday-Thursday for hours between 6am- 6pm. I am not available for any Friday-Sunday work due to my yoga teacher training. I love taking my dog to the dog beach at Long Beach and as well as going on long walks! When I'm caring for your pups, I make sure they will get plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. As a dog owner of a very active breed, I know how important it is to burn their energy and stimulate their brain! I will never push your pup to the edge of their comfort zone - and know the body language they portray when they are uncomfortable. I will always talk through your expectations and how we can collaborate to take the best care of your pup at the very beginning of their care. As a dog owner I understand that your directions and expectations for your dog are the most important thing!
“Danielle is wonderful!! I am super anxious about leaving my cat alone and she gave me very detailed updates the entire time. My cat Window loved her! He got feed and played with every day. We will definitely book again:)”

“This is not our first time using Michelle's catsitting services and, just like last time, she has been phenomenal! If there was an option to give 5,000 stars, she would deserve it. Our cats were wellfed, played with, and treated with such love and respect. Her photos of them were top notch as well. Michelle even helped keep the living area clean and tidy. She's super friendly and was very communicative about how the cats were doing. She is the literal best sitter you could ever have for your pets. 1000000000/10 would recommend her to anyone who loves and cares for their fur babies. :)”

About: As someone who has loved and cared for animals since I was a small child, I have a lot of passion for the proper care and treatment of your babies. I worked in boarding and grooming at a popular doggy daycare in Metro-Atlanta. I learned specifics about dog behavior and reactivity, as well as how to treat every dog with the same baseline of love and care, regardless of their personality traits. I believe every dog is a good dog, and I can't wait to meet yours :) I am currently available all weekdays and every weekend before nine o'clock. I am dedicating my time to Rover and am very flexible to cater to your needs! I treat all animals with the same baseline of care and respect I would give to a child. No physical reprimands, incorporated training, as well as lots and lots of love. Dogs are so special to my heart, and I treat them as such. I have a welcoming, open personality, years of experience, and certifications!
About: I've been caring for dogs and cats since I was 7 years old. While I have no formal training, I've owned pets consistently for the last 35 years. I've done a lot of work with rescues and shelters, particularly with special needs animals. I'm equipped to give medication of all types, even IVs and injections. I'm currently fostering two silly bulldogs and am volunteering my time with multiple local rescues. I have a knack for animals... You might even call it a superpower! I'll likely become best friends with your pet as soon as I meet them; I'll take the extra time to establish trust with you and your furry friend, so you both know you are in good hands with me. Whether it be just a quick walk or a homestay, your pet will be the center of my attention and will always be in good hands! Every booking comes with lots of pictures and a short video recap of our time together. While I'm typically not available early in the morning, my schedule is otherwise pretty flexible. I'm available for drop ins and over nights. Unfortunately due to an FIV+ cat I am unable to host your pet here. I will schedule a meet and greet prior to our first booking to meet you and your pet at your home. I like to schedule this for up to one our in order to make sure we take the time we need to establish trust. Many of my pets over the years have been special needs, including English Bulldogs and FIV+ cats.

“Maiko was amazing with Teddy! It’s already difficult leaving Teddy at home alone, not knowing if he’d be okay since he needed special attention because he was stuck as a cone head for a couple of weeks, so finding someone that I fully trust to care for him while I was away meant the world to me. Maiko came over to my house to check up on Teddy and they went on so many walks. She was also great with sending pictures and frequently kept me updated! I will be calling Maiko again and recommend her 100%!”

“I can always count on Christopher! He’s great with Rosie especially since she needs some xtra love and care with post surgery and new diet! Thanks Chris!!”

“Lucia was wonderful with my puppy! She eased all my worries and kept me constantly updated. I will only be booking her for all future services! 10/10 Service 🤩”

“Christian is an excellent Rover! She has watched our cat twice now and he has had a great experience both times. We greatly appreciate the number of pictures and detailed reviews she provides us and highly recommend her to other.”

About: I have been dog sitting for the last 3 years and have 2 little yorkies of my own! I also work for a dog company, so you could say dogs are my life ;) I work from home, so I have a lot of flexibility during the day! I am very in tune with dogs needs, and will make sure they get lots of love and attention! I take my own dogs to the park at least once a day, and take lots of little walks throughout the day. My apartment complex is super dog friendly! I live in the second floor, and have a patio where they can go out and get fresh air. There are lots of walking paths, and parks in the apartment complex as well!
About: I'm around dogs all the time. I used to work in a dog-friendly office so I got to play with them and pet them during business hours (which I admittedly did quite a bit of) and I am a dog owner so I get to play with them and pet them when I am home. I also watch my sisters' dogs when they go out of town. Long story short, I have lots of experience raising, caring for, and loving dogs and would treat yours like I would my own. I was recently laid off so am home and available essentially 24/7 right now and would love to be able to help out with your pet care needs, whatever they may be. I have one dog of my own that has full reign of my condo. I do not have a yard, but I take him out for walks/potty breaks at least 3 times a day. I can walk your dog as often as you like and if I’m house sitting I will respect whatever your rules are (ie if no pets allowed on the couch while you’re there then same when I’m there) I can walk your dog however frequently and for whatever amount of time you prefer. I usually take my own dog on one long walk (about 1 hr to 1.5 hrs) a day and then a shorter one (about 20-30 min) so that’s the amount of time I’m used to spending on walks. I am also available to dog sit at your home or simply check in on your pet as well. I can even bring my own dog over to hang out with your pets (with your expressed permission up front of course).
The median cost per visit for pet sitting in East Side is $25
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - East Side
Soleil was AMAZING, and I genuinely cannot recommend her enough! She took such wonderful care of Lemon while I was away at a conference, and I never had to worry for a second. She was reliable, communicative, incredibly sweet with Lemon, and just made the whole experience so easy. She also went so far above and beyond what I asked her to do. I came home and realized she had cleaned my cat’s litter box AND taken out the trash—neither of which was remotely part of our arrangement! It was such a thoughtful surprise after a long trip, and honestly just says so much about the kind of person she is. I came home to happy pets and a home that had clearly been really cared for, which is about the best feeling you can have after traveling. Soleil is kind, thoughtful, dependable, and an absolute gem. I would hire her again in a heartbeat and would recommend her to basically anyone who will listen. Lemon and I are officially huge Soleil fans!

another amazing job by Shelli!!! It’s so comforting to be able go out of town with confidence knowing our trio of kitties is well cared for and looked after. Shelli follows our care instructions, and was super flexible when I followed up once out of town with things I initially forgot to share with her regarding the care of our cats. Shelli is the best!!
