Hi, I'm Jacob! I'm 32 and recently moved to Long Beach with my wife from NYC. I bring a friendly and fun energy that most dogs are naturally drawn to. My experience includes caring for both dogs and cats between 4 months-17 years old. I am an ideal sitter for high-energy dogs who need tons of attention, long and/or frequent walks, and extra play time while their owners are away. Skilled at senior dog care, including those with complex medical needs (including injectable medication) and frequent vet visits. I also provide bathing and basic grooming for longer stays at negotiable rates. LONG-TERM PET SITTING: I am a high-energy, hands-on sitter and will give your pets lots of love and attention. If I must leave your home for any reason, I always return within two hours. I keep emergency vet services and poison control information handy—though fortunately I've never needed to use either. I keep dogs on-leash outside of the house at all times. I closely follow house rules and strive to leave spaces in the same condition I found them or better. DOGWALKING & FEEDING: Daily walks for up to three (3) dogs at a standard hourly rate, up to 3x per day. Walks are 1 hour unless specified by the owner. I will refill your dog's food, water and medication if your dog needs it at that time. DOG BOARDING: If you prefer to board your dog, let's discuss long-term boarding options at my home. I live in an apartment complex with my wife, who also loves dogs. She works in-office 5 days/week and will not be involved in pet care. I have access to common yard space and live in a safe neighborhood that's ideal for daily walks. My wife is allergen sensitive, so dogs with excessive shedding or dander will not be a good fit. Rates may vary depending on your pets' specific needs. I live a short walk from the beach and will happily take your dog on a sandy adventure—no swimming allowed. I am currently available weekdays from Monday-Friday. I work part-time at a restaurant on Saturday and Sunday evenings, though my exact schedule varies and is subject to change. My work shifts are rarely longer than 8 hours. Dogs are kept on leash at all times while outside the house. I keep emergency vet services and poison control information handy, though I've fortunately never had to use either.

About: I have been a pet owner my whole life. My family's first pet was a cat who preferred to be away from humans. Living with him taught me how to respect the reclusive cat while still providing a loving environment for them. The second pet I grew up with was a highly energetic and profusely anxious weimeraner. She taught me how to work with larger dogs with high energy and how to help calm their nervous system when she got over-excited (which was at least once a day). In college I volunteered at a local cat sanctuary where I cleaned the enclosures while the cats were still in them. I interacted with cats who were on the entire spectrum of sociabiltiy ranging from big sweet baby energy to very feral. I currently have two cats that I adopted. I have had to give them rounds of medicine and have had to learn the best ways to administer it. I am also at their command for whenever they want attention, which is at least once an hour. I am available most days and times Monday-Friday. I am also an early riser! Weekends I have less availability as I am training to be a pilates instructor. However I will be available after 5:30pm. I ensure that all pets that i have watched have a clean and comfortable environment to live in. When I drop in on dogs, the first things that I do are look for any accidents (especially if that is known to be an issue) and then I make sure that they have some fresh water. I also make sure to give them a little treat if that is allowed as well. If there is a yard I will let them out and supervise them the whole time, or just give them lots of scratches instead if thats what they prefer. I will pick up any and all poop that I find and ensure that it is disposed of properly. For cats I do the same thing and make sure that the litter box or boxes are scopped. I also ensure that the area around the litter boxes is maintained particularly if a furry friend is inclined to really throwing around the litter. If cats are out and about while I drop in and want attention, I will make sure to give them all the pets and scratches they desire. If they are on the independent side, I respect that and let them decide of they want to interact or not.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was young. My baby Taelor just passed away in May 2026 from bladder cancer / complete kidney failure so I am familiar with medication and pets with special needs. I currently work full-time in the South Bay so I’m free nights & weekends! Weekends I am available all day. Weekdays I am available after 6pm. I live in a gated apartment community. There is an area to walk your fur baby. I am have a cage, a few dog beds, extra bowls, leashes, and diapers (male) for any other your pets needs.

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats for 5 years. I love walking dogs and playing with the animals when house sitting. I always ask what the owners want and follow their instructions. For house sitting can come multiple times a day. Bringing good energy and ready for a walk or play time. I work part time but can come any time on Monday, Tuesday, and can do walks Wednesday through Sunday before 3:40 pm. I am always on the go and love going on beach walks or just walking around the neighbor hoods. For house sitting I can check on the animals through the day and after work can spend the night or do a night check. I take care of our neighbor dog and two cats when she is off traveling. Usually come in the morning and feed animals and play with them. Then I take the dog for a beach walk or we go on a jog in the neighbor hood. Then I come back around lunch and get all the zoomies out check on them and play with them. Then I go before work and after work to let them out and check on them. Before work we usually go on a 20 minute walk just to get them outside. The cats usually follow us on the second walk.

About: I've been caring for dogs and cats since I was 7 years old. While I have no formal training, I've owned pets consistently for the last 35 years. I've done a lot of work with rescues and shelters, particularly with special needs animals. I'm equipped to give medication of all types, even IVs and injections. I'm currently fostering two silly bulldogs and am volunteering my time with multiple local rescues. I have a knack for animals... You might even call it a superpower! I'll likely become best friends with your pet as soon as I meet them; I'll take the extra time to establish trust with you and your furry friend, so you both know you are in good hands with me. Whether it be just a quick walk or a homestay, your pet will be the center of my attention and will always be in good hands! Every booking comes with lots of pictures and a full recap of our time together. While I'm typically not available early in the morning, my schedule is otherwise pretty flexible. I'm available for drop ins and over nights. Unfortunately due to an FIV+ cat I am unable to host your pet here. I will schedule a meet and greet prior to our first booking to meet you and your pet at your home. I like to schedule this for up to one our in order to make sure we take the time we need to establish trust. Many of my pets over the years have been special needs, including English Bulldogs and FIV+ cats.

“Soleil was AMAZING, and I genuinely cannot recommend her enough! She took such wonderful care of Lemon while I was away at a conference, and I never had to worry for a second. She was reliable, communicative, incredibly sweet with Lemon, and just made the whole experience so easy. She also went so far above and beyond what I asked her to do. I came home and realized she had cleaned my cat’s litter box AND taken out the trash—neither of which was remotely part of our arrangement! It was such a thoughtful surprise after a long trip, and honestly just says so much about the kind of person she is. I came home to happy pets and a home that had clearly been really cared for, which is about the best feeling you can have after traveling. Soleil is kind, thoughtful, dependable, and an absolute gem. I would hire her again in a heartbeat and would recommend her to basically anyone who will listen. Lemon and I are officially huge Soleil fans!”
