Her house is super spacious and has a great backyard. Location is close to CSULB, so expect some good walks with your pup! Their knowledge and caring attitude towards dogs really shows throughout them and their family! Also, my dog is very skittish and shy, but once I saw him interact with them, I knew he was going to be alright. Knowing that he was comfortable definitely made me feel at ease with using dog boarding for the first time. I will definitely use Julie and Maria's service in the future! :)”
“Irene was great with our pups! We would love for her to sit for them in the future. She shared updates while we were on our trip. She reviewed the care document, and knew how to set up their crates and put their complicated harnesses on. Our pups are high energy breeds and but they came home relaxed and content. When we went to pick them up Bone Thug ran back to give Irene a little pup love before leaving. That was the biggest sign of care and happiness to me.”
“I cannot recommend Laura enough. She was fantastic with our girls during their 8 day stay with her. She cared for our 2 golden retrievers (Mia and Riley), Chocolate Lab (Hershey), and our Russian Blue cat (Olivia- who has special needs as she is a tripod kitty) so well and gave us the peace of mind knowing they were in a safe and loving environment. Laura communicates very well and at the right frequency to give updates on your babies and sends pictures to help when you are missing their sweet faces. I know her house must have been hair-covered by the time we picked them up (mine always seems to be despite roomba constantly running) but she was gracious and no complaints. We will definitely book Laura in the future.”

Some places I like to dog-walk are the green belt and the beach path. I’m very experienced in taking care of short-nosed dogs. I can't wait to meet your pup! I work remote so my schedule is very flexible. For day care, I typically take dogs out for a morning, midday, and evening walk and then they can relax in the house or yard while I work. Our babies, Coco and Kwame, can be a bit shy, especially Kwame, but he warmed up to Danielle so fast in the first meeting, which brought us a lot of relief and comfort. We loved and appreciated the check-ins she would send of our babies, and to see them open up to her really let us know that they were being genuinely taken care of and engaged with. She was so flexible about adding an extra check-in we needed to add at the last minute. She was so attentive with the details of emergency contacts, key drop-offs, and vet information. We really appreciated this, since we had so many things in mind for our trip. She also followed instructions, especially during feeding time, because Kwame is a thief, and Coco will let him. About: I wouldn't want to assume a cat wants attention just because I’m ready to give it. I’m comfortable with the lap cats, the under-the-bed cats, the “feed me and admire me from over there” cats, and plenty in between. My experience includes senior cats, shy cats, medication, established feeding and litter routines, and multi-pet households. One family has trusted me with their two cats and two dogs around 15 times, and a recent shy cat warmed up to me within just a couple of days during a three-week stay. I pay attention, give them choices and learn their version of normal. Usually, that’s how we become the kind of friends that love meeting each other at the door.

About: I have experience with many types of animals in the past few years. From large dogs such as huskies, golden retrievers to bulldogs. To smaller dogs such as Shih Tzu, Frenchies and even new born puppies! I also have experience with bird care and rodents. A love for animals means to give them the best quality care. About: I’ve spent much of my adult life in roles where people trusted me with things that mattered to them like their homes, businesses, teams and even careers. I spent my undergraduate years as an Assistant Property Manager before becoming an LAX operations leader and former full-time recruiter, and I bring that same sense of responsibility to more than 10 years of caring for pets. I have especially good experience with senior animals: more than half of the dogs and cats I’ve cared for have been seniors. I love their personalities and am comfortable adjusting to slower walks, medication schedules, established routines and the little preferences that become especially important as pets get older. Even re-potty training them! At the other end of the spectrum, I’m an active person and outrigger paddler, so energetic dogs are very welcome too. Long walks, play and outdoor time fit my lifestyle after having been in grad school in upstate New York. My approach is individualized. My experience has taught me how much better the outcome is when you listen first, ask good questions and understand what constitutes a good fit. Pets aren’t any different. I want to learn their personality and normal routine so I can meet them where they are. My goal is for you to come home thinking, "My pets and home are happy, healthy, safe and ready for me to come back without skipping a beat." My schedule is flexible, and I plan my day around each pet’s routine. I often work from my computer remotely during the day and have broad availability for walks, drop-ins and house sitting. I do have activities outside the home, including early-morning outrigger paddling, but I make sure feeding, potty breaks, medication and other important routines are taken care of first. For house sitting, I’m generally a good fit for pets who are comfortable alone for 4–6 hours at a time, or longer when that is already part of their normal routine. I’m happy to talk through your pet’s schedule before booking and adjust where I reasonably can. I like to begin with a meet-and-greet so I can understand your pet’s normal behavior, routine, medications, household setup and emergency plan before care begins. I review instructions carefully and ask questions upfront that may include how you want me to communicate if something unexpected happens. I pay attention to changes that can be easy to miss, from unusual itching or appetite changes to changes in energy, bathroom habits or behavior, and I’ll let you know when something seems out of the ordinary. I’m equally conscientious with the home itself. I’m a “leave it better than you found it” person. I keep the spaces I use tidy, handle mail and packages according to your preferences, take out trash, water plants and care for linens when appropriate. If you already have cleaners, gardeners or other small business service providers, I’m happy to work around the systems you already have.

About: I joined Rover in October 2025 but I’ve been caring for animals for decades and have a deep appreciation for the comfort and companionship they bring. Before joining Rover, I was (and still am!) the go-to resource for friends and family who needed cat, dog, and house sitting. Now, I’m excited serve the Long Beach community :) Whether I’m spending time with a playful pup or a senior, I’m committed to providing attentive, reliable, and compassionate care. I can also provide care in the early or late evenings, working around dinner and gym time. For house sitting requests, I am currently able to offer spending 8-10 hours with your pet during the day, but am unable to offer overnight care at this time. I do my best to keep pets comfortable by sticking to their usual routine. I follow all instructions for feeding, walks, medication, training, and anything else they need. I’m careful with doors and gates, clean up after them and myself, and send updates so you know how things are going.
About: I’ve always loved animals, specifically dogs. Since I can remember, I’ve always had animals. Growing up we were limited, but once I was old enough I’ve had multiple at a time. I work from home, and so does my partner. We walk our dog at least 4 times a day because she’s older and needs more potty breaks. My dog roams free but if you need me to crate, I can. We live by the dog beach so we like to take our girl often! We don’t have a yard but we have a beach.

About: I have owned and taken care of dogs, cats, turtles, and fish since I was 4 years old. I have been house/pet sitting for neighbors and family members for 20+ years and I’ve loved every minute of it! I’m ready to give your pet the love they deserve. I work full time and go to school during the weeknights, but I work from home on Fridays, so I am available Thursday night- early Monday mornings. Whenever I am taking care of your pet, your pet will be my 100% priority. I will follow your directions on how to care best for your pet(s) and your home. About: I've had dogs my entire life—they've always been part of my family. Over the years I've owned and cared for small and large breeds, including rescue dogs, and I understand that every dog has their own personality and needs. Since moving to Belmont Shore, I've missed having dogs as part of my daily life. Becoming a Rover walker lets me combine my love of walking with spending time with dogs while helping busy owners know their pets are in caring, dependable hands. I'll treat your dog like family and make every walk safe, fun, and tailored to their pace and personality. Dog walking fits naturally into my daily routine. I'm available for early morning walks (7:30–8:30 AM), lunchtime walks (12:00–1:00 PM), and longer evening walks from 5:30 PM until sunset. I already enjoy walking every day, and I love having a four-legged companion to explore Belmont Shore with. About: I've always had a strong love for animals. Whether soft or scaly, feathered or fluffy, animals make life special and more meaningful. My love for pets started with a cat, then a hamster, more cats, dogs, and a fish here and there... Nowadays you’ll probably find me with my two orange cats and a Scooby Doo dog. In addition to drop-ins and sittings, my pet/animal care experience includes volunteering at PetSmart and the SPCA of Long Beach. It’s been a joy to care for all the many pets and animals throughout my life! I work full time Monday through Friday but am open some weeknights after 5pm. About: My name is Andy! I am a young professional who works from home in the Belmont Shore neighborhood of Long Beach, CA. I have a Boston Terrier and grew up with 2 labs. I walked dogs for various families throughout high school and college and have volunteered at Wagtime doggy daycare in Washington, D.C. I am an enthusiast and experienced dog-walker and care-taker. My love for dogs will be evident the first time you meet me! I am also responsible, punctual, and trust-worthy. You can count me on me to not only hold our appointments, but go above and beyond for you and your pup. Your dog's safety and happiness are very important to me, and I pay close attention to details like medical/physical needs and comfort-level around other dogs. After a session, you can count on me to lock your home and leave it exactly as I found it out, with the addition of a well-walked and happy dog. I work full-time from home and have flexible availability during the week and on weekends. I'm also open to nighttime visits. I love a good night walk! I have a 4 year old Boston Terrier who means the world to me. I also grew up with an elderly lab with arthritis in her legs. I know how much dogs mean to their pet owners (parents, really). “I cannot recommend Laura enough. She was fantastic with our girls during their 8 day stay with her. She cared for our 2 golden retrievers (Mia and Riley), Chocolate Lab (Hershey), and our Russian Blue cat (Olivia- who has special needs as she is a tripod kitty) so well and gave us the peace of mind knowing they were in a safe and loving environment. Laura communicates very well and at the right frequency to give updates on your babies and sends pictures to help when you are missing their sweet faces. I know her house must have been hair-covered by the time we picked them up (mine always seems to be despite roomba constantly running) but she was gracious and no complaints. We will definitely book Laura in the future.”
