Wanda is in a nice neighborhood in Long beach which made us feel safe leaving our dog with her. She sent pictures throughout & her conversations made us feel she is very experienced with dogs & understands them. Our dog hasn’t been around other dogs so we really appreciated that she only takes 1 client at a time. She made extra effort to make our dog feel comfortable with Gidget as well. About: UW–Madison Kinesiology grad, now a medical student. I'm comfortable giving oral and injected meds, and I care for senior dogs. I've had Mamba, my Lab, for 6 years and I'm raising Cleo, my young Doberman/cattle dog mix, so I know high-energy pups. I'm on a flexible fall schedule and available Monday–Saturday any time for walks and drop-ins. Sundays I'm available for house sitting. You'll get photo updates every visit, and I'll keep your dog's feeding and potty routine exactly as you do it. On walks I use a secure leash and harness and check for heat and hazards. For boarding, your dog stays in a house with a small fenced dog run, one family at a time, crate-trained dogs only. My Lab Mamba is the only dog in the home, and I never leave dogs unsupervised with him until we've done a slow, supervised introduction.

About: I have been taking care of many animals all my life. I have taken care of pretty much every pet you can think of from pigeons, cats, dogs, lizards, bunnies, all, and all the way to horses and cows. Needless to say I have a lot of experience and would love to help out in anyway I can! I am a member of the United States Coast Guard, and have a pretty set schedule Monday through Thursday. I am able to do mornings before nine and afternoons after two. I will not be able to take animals back to my place unfortunately seeing as my apartment has strict rules against animals being in my apartment complex complex

About: I wouldn't want to assume a cat wants attention just because I’m ready to give it. I’m comfortable with the lap cats, the under-the-bed cats, the “feed me and admire me from over there” cats, and plenty in between. My experience includes senior cats, shy cats, medication, established feeding and litter routines, and multi-pet households. One family has trusted me with their two cats and two dogs around 15 times, and a recent shy cat warmed up to me within just a couple of days during a three-week stay. About: I’m very patient with pets, as i believe that they need special care with their daily living. I am someone who can make them feel loved and safe. I, myself have a miniature pinscher that can be handful at times but I very much love being with him. About: Although I don’t currently have pets of my own, I’ve spent the last 6 years boarding and caring for friend’s and neighbor’s dogs. It gives me a chance to love your dog while you travel. I currently work from home with a flexible schedule. I can walk your dog as frequently as every 2-4 hours, make sure they are fed and played with and that they get the maximum amount of cuddles they allow. I live in a 2 bedroom apartment with a balcony. My friend’s dog loves to lay out there and snooze in the sun. I live in a very walkable and dog friendly area of Long Beach and we are only 3 blocks from the beach. My husband and I do allow pets on the furniture or bed, but I believe in consistency so we make every attempt to keep the rules the same as their home.

In order to fill the void I wanted to offer boarding services to others so they can experience the love and joy we have for our furry family members. We both work from home and so will be able to tend to your pets routine. Regular meals. Care and walks as you prefer. Sleeping arrangements depend on per size and preference. About: I’ve spent much of my adult life in roles where people trusted me with things that mattered to them like their homes, businesses, teams and even careers. I spent my undergraduate years as an Assistant Property Manager before becoming an LAX operations leader and former full-time recruiter, and I bring that same sense of responsibility to more than 10 years of caring for pets. I have especially good experience with senior animals: more than half of the dogs and cats I’ve cared for have been seniors. I love their personalities and am comfortable adjusting to slower walks, medication schedules, established routines and the little preferences that become especially important as pets get older. Even re-potty training them! At the other end of the spectrum, I’m an active person and outrigger paddler, so energetic dogs are very welcome too. Long walks, play and outdoor time fit my lifestyle after having been in grad school in upstate New York. My approach is individualized. My experience has taught me how much better the outcome is when you listen first, ask good questions and understand what constitutes a good fit. Pets aren’t any different. I want to learn their personality and normal routine so I can meet them where they are. My goal is for you to come home thinking, "My pets and home are happy, healthy, safe and ready for me to come back without skipping a beat." My schedule is flexible, and I plan my day around each pet’s routine. I often work from my computer remotely during the day and have broad availability for walks, drop-ins and house sitting. I do have activities outside the home, including early-morning outrigger paddling, but I make sure feeding, potty breaks, medication and other important routines are taken care of first. For house sitting, I’m generally a good fit for pets who are comfortable alone for 4–6 hours at a time, or longer when that is already part of their normal routine. I’m happy to talk through your pet’s schedule before booking and adjust where I reasonably can. I like to begin with a meet-and-greet so I can understand your pet’s normal behavior, routine, medications, household setup and emergency plan before care begins. I review instructions carefully and ask questions upfront that may include how you want me to communicate if something unexpected happens. I pay attention to changes that can be easy to miss, from unusual itching or appetite changes to changes in energy, bathroom habits or behavior, and I’ll let you know when something seems out of the ordinary. I’m equally conscientious with the home itself. I’m a “leave it better than you found it” person. I keep the spaces I use tidy, handle mail and packages according to your preferences, take out trash, water plants and care for linens when appropriate. If you already have cleaners, gardeners or other small business service providers, I’m happy to work around the systems you already have.

My husband, Dan, and I have both grown up with animals and have personally owned and cared for many different types of pets throughout our lives. We've also done some dog sitting and currently have a rescue dog of our own. Helping him learn to trust and feel safe has given us an even greater appreciation for patience and meeting each animal where they are. When your pet is with us, we want them to feel comfortable, safe, and at home—like they're part of the family. Whether they love lots of attention and cuddles, need plenty of play and activity, or prefer a little more space and time to warm up, we'll tailor our care to their personality, routine, and individual needs. We genuinely love animals and will give your pets the same patience, attention, and care we'd want for our own. We want you to be able to enjoy your time away without worrying about your fur babies, knowing they're safe, happy, and well cared for. My husband and I both have hybrid work schedules, so we work as a team when it comes to pet care. Between the two of us, one of us is typically working from home, which gives us a lot of flexibility for walks, potty breaks, playtime, and attention throughout the day. We both love animals and enjoy being outdoors, so we're always happy for an excuse to step away from the computer for a walk or some time with the pets. Having an animal nearby while we're working is pretty nice too! We genuinely enjoy their company, whether we're outside getting some fresh air, playing, or just hanging out together at home. We truly care about making your pet feel comfortable while you're away, and a big part of that is keeping things as familiar as possible. We'll listen closely to what you share about their usual routine, personality, likes and dislikes, and how you normally care for them, and we'll do our best to continue that routine while they're with us. Whether that's their usual walk schedule, feeding times, favorite activities, where they like to sleep, or the little things that help them feel at home, we want to know! We also value honest, open communication, so you can feel comfortable sharing what's important to you and your pet.

About: I grew up with a mini dachshund and currently have a pug. I pet sit all the time for friends and family, including my sister who has a dog, 2 cats, 2 rabbits, fish, and the list keeps going. I've pet sat both at my apartment and house sat in a pet's home. At my apartment, I've dog sat for up to a month! My little pug loves having a new buddy around to play, go on walks, and snuggle with. My pug is my life. I work from home and she's always by my side, following me everywhere. Every morning we go for a walk around the Naples canals in Long Beach after she has her breakfast. During the day, she mostly snuggles on my lap or entertains herself if we don't have another buddy visiting us. We take breaks to get fresh air and take potty breaks at the beach. In the afternoon, we'll usually go on a shorter walk before or after dinner. I try to take her with me anywhere I go, even if it's just a short errand where she can enjoy a car ride. On the occasions I can't take her with me, she has full reign of the apartment, but I think she spends most of her time snuggled on the couch with soft blankets and pillow. When I need to be away from her for longer than usual, I usually coordinate to have her visit one of her nearby buddies or stay with my mom & sister where she gets to play with little my niece and nephew, their dog, and enjoy being around lots of other free roaming animals (chickens, bunnies, cats) If I'm at a client's home, I ensure I'm informed about all the places the pet(s) like to go, where their favorite toys are, and where their food & medicine is. If I'm pet sitting for an extended period of time, or more than just a daily check-in, my pug will be with me. She loves being around big dogs or small dogs, is very submissive, loves to play, but is also ok giving space if the other pet is not interested. If a backyard is available, I love to be outdoors and get the dogs some exercise by playing ball or tag. If an enclosed area isn't available, your dog will always be leashed. On walks, I'm conscientious about our surroundings. I pay attention to any rogue "snacks" in our path and other dogs approaching. I always ask another dog owner if their dog is friendly and if mine can say hi. If they're not, it's no problem! We'll continue on and cross the street if need be. My walks with my pug tend to be longer in time and fairly slow moving, making lots of stops to sniff. Sniffing is an important activity for any dog, and expends a lot of energy, so I stop as long as my dog wants to sniff at certain spot so she can get her fill. I'll treat your dog with the same respect and care as I provide my own.

About: I enjoy getting to know each doggo. Everyone has a different personality, habits, ages & stages. It’s important to make a genuine connection and effort. I am available for in house drop ins from Monday through Thursday. My hours will vary depending on how many clients I have a day. Otherwise, I look forward to spending time together. I care for pets in my clients home by making sure the pets area is clean, that they have access to water, and that I am paying attention to their needs. They will let me know if they need to use the bathroom with subtle changes in behavior. Or the owners will let me know their schedule and I’ll follow the doggos routine.

About: UW–Madison Kinesiology grad, now a medical student. I'm comfortable giving oral and injected meds, and I care for senior dogs. I've had Mamba, my Lab, for 6 years and I'm raising Cleo, my young Doberman/cattle dog mix, so I know high-energy pups. I'm on a flexible fall schedule and available Monday–Saturday any time for walks and drop-ins. Sundays I'm available for house sitting. You'll get photo updates every visit, and I'll keep your dog's feeding and potty routine exactly as you do it. On walks I use a secure leash and harness and check for heat and hazards. For boarding, your dog stays in a house with a small fenced dog run, one family at a time, crate-trained dogs only. My Lab Mamba is the only dog in the home, and I never leave dogs unsupervised with him until we've done a slow, supervised introduction.

About: i’ve worked with animals over 6 years I have pets of my own so I know that we just want the best for them. I’ve worked with huge pets and small pets and even some with medical conditions so if they need to be accommodated just let me know I am currently working part time so I will be updating my schedule constantly but I will be available on weekdays and even weekends . Laura eased my worries I had about the neighborhood fireworks that could possibly stress out my dog and she assured me that there would be classical music played for my dog to create a more comfortable environment. About: I’ve cared for dogs and other pets for many years for family, friends, and neighbors. I’m comfortable feeding, walking, playing with, and checking in on pets while their owners are away. I treat every pet with patience, love, and attention and make sure they feel safe and comfortable in my care. I’m currently a stay at home mom and I spend plenty of time at home. Therefore, my availability for boarding your pet is flexible. I have a fenced yard and I can easily crate your dog if needed. I will supervise your pets and will follow the owner’s instructions.
