About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and have experience with all sizes, from small dogs to big breeds, as well as cats. I’m comfortable with different personalities, energy levels, and routines. I also cared for my senior dog when she became ill, so I understand how important patience, comfort, and extra attention can be for older pets. I genuinely love animals and will care for your pets the same way I care for my own. What set me apart from any other sitters is that I not only love animals, but I also have a background in animal care and behavior through my animal science degree from Cal Poly Pomona. Along with 4 years of hands on experience caring for livestock and dogs and cats. My education gave me a better understanding of animal health, behavior, and overall wellbeing. I’m patient, reliable, and truly enjoy making pets feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while their owners are away. I am currently going to school so I am unavailable during the weeks. During the weekend however I am free to take care of pets at any time. I am unable to care for pets in my own home but in a clients home I will care for the animal based on the instructions and living area of client. I am also available to take pets outside of living area and take them to parks and or open areas to get out of the house and play. The pets safety is a big priority of mine and I will take amazing care of them!

About: I’ve taken care of dogs ever since I was a kid, being absolutely smitten with my chocolate lab Bo from a young age. Since then I’ve had dogs across all breeds, from pit bulls to chihuahuas, and have loved every second I got to spend with them. I’m a passionate and reliable dog enthusiast with a deep love for furry companions. As your dedicated dog walker and house sitter, I prioritize your pet's well-being, ensuring they receive not only exercise but also genuine care and attention. With a keen understanding of canine behavior and a commitment to safety, I provide a trustworthy presence for your furry family member. I believe in clear communication and am happy to send regular updates and photos, giving you peace of mind while you're away. Experienced, responsible, and always ready for a tail-wagging good time – I'm here to make your pet's day I’m currently working from home and keep an East Coast schedule, so I’m available from 9am - 5pm with a minimal chance of conflicts. My workday ends at 2pm so anytime after that is golden. Feeding, walking, playing…there’s no limit to what I can do to take care of your pup! Knowing what specific toys they enjoy is always my go-to and I can go for miles if they’re comfortable on a leash.

Sam was absolutely wonderful with my two small dogs. (14lbs each) They were immediately comfortable with him and he took perfect care of them on their week of walks. He’s an incredibly kind and attentive person and my dogs loved him from the moment they met him. I feel so lucky to have found Sam and I will absolutely hire him again. I give him my highest recommendation!

About: I am licensed in the state of Colorado as a massage therapist but I just moved to Long Beach and am looking for work while I finish the transfer requirements! I first started pet sitting last year! I was using Trusted House Sitters while I was living in Colorado with my family and I have done 8 long term pet sits with all 5 start reviews! I am kind, compassionate and would be honored to care after your home and pets and make sure they feel comfortable with my presence and happy and healthy until your return! My schedule is currently wide open and I am very flexible as well to match your needs! Once I become certified I would like to continue working park time as a dog sitter and a part time Massage Therapist while I gain my clientele! I am empathetic with my care and try to view my comfort and peace from the animals perspective. Since you know your animals best I will ask lots of questions and insure I have a good understanding of what your pet needs! If that means a cat needs me to sit quietly and give it space to trust me or a big dog needs me to take them frequent on romps and runs - I do my best to adjust my style of care to match the environment the animals needs!

About: I’ve had two furries, a cat and a dog and they are currently with my family living in NYC. I have experience taking care of them for over 3 years since they are just a kitten and a puppy. I helped my puppy Labrador Retriever break her potty and other aspects of training. I am calm and resilient. At the same time, I truly care about the furries and try to match my energies to theirs when it comes to exercise! I enjoy taking care of paw friends including Labrador Retriever, Rottweiler, German Shepherd, Husky, Australian Cattle, Pomeranian, Forkie, and more. I go for a jog or a run during the weekend no matter what. So, your paw friends would be part of it in the mornings and evenings. Generally, I will give a morning run or a walk for 30 minutes and potty breaks every 2-3 hours during the weeks/ends. Before dinner time, I’d make sure to give them a brief walk as well, as I need one to wrap up my day. During the weekend, I will take your furry friends everywhere I go, unless I have to go dining somewhere/church for 2-4 hours. You let me know if you'd like me to let you know in advance so you are comfortable with it. I have two Nest Cameras installed in the house specifically facing toward the entrance door, balcony, too, and of course your furry friends. I can always see the alert of what’s happened throughout the day + anything that happens will be recorded for safety purposes!

About: Hi!! I’m back on Rover since I was a teenager 😂 I do have a bad rating after having a misunderstanding with a customer, but I was young then and have a lot more experience with animal care! I moved to Long Beach from Cleveland, Ohio, and had to leave my pets at home so I find pet sitting to be a really nice outlet since missing my own fur babies. I currently work for a window, cleaning company and need to make some extra money. The schedule is not predictable so on my off days, I would love to spend taking care of your pet. ☺️ I find that every single pet is different in their needs, wants, and personality. So how I interact with my clients pet completely depends on the pet itself. I would like to have a talk with the client just to see what they’re fur babies likes and dislikes are.

Had a great first experience with Doris! She was incredibly attentive and thoughtful, asking nuanced questions that showed she truly cares about providing quality, individualized care. Her interaction was warm and genuine, and my big puppy immediately picked up on that—she felt comfortable with her right away. It’s clear she takes the time to build a real connection with the dogs she works with. I’ll definitely continue using her and highly recommend her to others!

Alex is an absolute GODSEND. My 60 lb, recently adopted and easily excitable rescue dog requires an experienced handler. (He's not aggressive, just young, wild, and still learning the rules of interacting with humans.) Until we found her, we've struck out trying to find a good fit for someone to walk him. From the very first meeting, Alex's calm demeanor, skilled handling and complete love for dogs were obvious, and allowed her to view my dog's behaviors through an empathetic lens, which in turn allowed my dog to calm down and trust her pretty quickly. I can't say enough good things about her and I highly recommend her to anyone who has a dog with behaviors that are not perfect. She can handle your dog with skill and kindness. I'm so grateful for Alex!
