I'm extremely detailed (I love a comprehensive info sheet!), and I ask the right questions up front, so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pets are in good hands. I work from home with a flexible schedule, which gives me plenty of time and energy to devote to your pets. I prefer to work weekdays, Monday-Friday, but I am also available for longer in-home stays over the weekend with enough notice. I take your pet's health and safety very seriously, which is why I make sure I understand not only what their immediate needs are (food, water, exercise, enrichment), but also what potential stressors might be (loud noises, other animals, etc.). I gather as much information as I can up front, so I can anticipate your pet's needs as they arise. Knowing where the cleaning materials, trash, emergency numbers, and security items (crate, leash, carrier) are in your home gives ME peace of mind and makes my job that much easier. Once I have all the info I need, while you're gone, I can check back in with you as much or as little as you prefer -- I'm happy to send updates throughout the day, or I'm just as happy to take care of things myself and provide a summary when you return. I fostered a Belgian Mal rescue dog from Mexico for 6 months, and helped acclimate him to life in a home, and did leash and crate training with him. I've cared for cats, small dogs, large dogs, including an adorable (and ginormous) Labradoodle puppy. Last summer I volunteered to transport two rescue puppies to the US from Puerto Rico. I live in a one bedroom condo, and I am happy to host animals in my home up to 50 pounds. I am also happy to stay in your home with your pet.

About: Experienced with both young and older dogs and cats. I am very patient and loving with all animals and ensure play time is taken care of whether that means a long walk or playing fetch. Indoor animals need playtime as well and I can make sure we get the zoomies out! I work from home 3 days a week and have a pretty standard work schedule. I am free on weekends. I can do long walks with your furry friend as well as house sit. I will ensure all their needs are met if I happen to be watching them on a day that I am not in the office. I have a very leisure schedule so there is lots of time for play time and walks. I ensure doors are never left open whether that be the front/back door or cabinet doors. Especially if there are cleaning supplies or any other chemicals in said cabinets. I also ensure I am educated on what plants are not animal friendly and ensure those are put away in high places where animals cannot get to them. I ensure all water bowls are filled before I leave and that feedings/treat handouts are done. If there are any tote bags or any bags with handles, I make sure those are put away as well. Of course I make sure anything plastic or small that might be ingested is put away as well.
