While I'm typically not available early in the morning, my schedule is otherwise pretty flexible. I'm available for drop ins and over nights. Unfortunately due to an FIV+ cat I am unable to host your pet here.

I will schedule a meet and greet prior to our first booking to meet you and your pet at your home. I like to schedule this for up to one our in order to make sure we take the time we need to establish trust. Many of my pets over the years have been special needs, including English Bulldogs and FIV+ cats.
Information Jay J. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your pet has any behavioral or health concerns, or if I should be wary of interactions with other dogs or people. I'm happy to give medication of any kind as needed, but will need this information prior to booking to make sure I'm adequately prepared. I'm happy to give a little extra time to pets with behavior issues (trauma, aggression, etc) to establish trust and make sure they know I am a friend who is here to help.
A typical day
I love to walk and explore, so odds are your dog will tire of walking before I do! For shorter bookings, your dog and I will stroll around the neighborhood where they can show me the sights and smells in your neck of the woods. For hour long + appointments, I'm happy to take your pet to a local dog friendly park or beach for some exercise and play (my personal favorite is frisbee, but I'm down for whatever!). I have a few toys, treats, and portable water bowl of my own, but feel free to provide your own as well. For cat visits, I like to let them set the pace. For friendlier kitties, our visit will be filled with snuggles, treats, and likely a very one sided conversation. Cats that are a little more skittish or I friendly will get the same love and attention from a distance, though hopefully we'll be best friends soon enough.

Pet care experience
I've been caring for dogs and cats since I was 7 years old. While I have no formal training, I've owned pets consistently for the last 35 years. I've done a lot of work with rescues and shelters, particularly with special needs animals. I'm equipped to give medication of all types, even IVs and injections. I'm currently fostering two silly bulldogs and am volunteering my time with multiple local rescues. I have a knack for animals... You might even call it a superpower! I'll likely become best friends with your pet as soon as I meet them; I'll take the extra time to establish trust with you and your furry friend, so you both know you are in good hands with me. Whether it be just a quick walk or a homestay, your pet will be the center of my attention and will always be in good hands! Every booking comes with lots of pictures and a short video recap of our time together.
