“Joel is a great pet and house sitter! He has taken care of our 98# Bernedoodle Ollie and 4 cats multiple times. He sent pictures almost every day, and even took one of our cats in for his blood draw and gave him medicine.”

“Candace was amazing! Very friendly and understanding of my Lola's needs. Lola really felt comfortable around Candace early on, making me comfortable knowing someone was going to take care of my Baby.”

About: I’ve spent over a decade in hospitality and operations, running shifts at places like Starbucks and a local beer lab, which basically means I’m used to juggling a hundred things at once while staying calm, warm, and on schedule. Turns out that’s great training for dog care too: reading personalities fast, sticking to routines, and making sure everyone (two legs or four) feels comfortable in a new environment. I’ve got a dog of my own, so I know the drill: the 6am zoomies, the separation anxiety whining, the food that “definitely doesn’t cause gas.” Whether your pup is a couch potato, a chaos gremlin, or somewhere in between, I’ll treat them like they’re already part of the household. Ten-plus years in hospitality means I’m used to following exact protocols and communicating clearly, and I apply that same discipline to pet care. Safety and consistency come first, in my home or yours. I keep a calm, predictable environment because cats do best with routine, so I stick to feeding times, litter maintenance, and any specific instructions you give me exactly as written, no improvising.
“Nicolas stayed at our house and look care of our 70 pound, reactive, German shepherd, Danny and did such an incredible job. He sent us videos and photos throughout his stay and always kept us updated on how Danny was doing. We’ve used serveral rover’s in the past and Nicolas is by far the most attentive and professional Rover we’ve ever had. I can’t recommend Nicolas enough, he was a 10/10 hire.”
“Thank you so much for all the help! If anyone is looking for someone who loves animals don’t hesitate you are picking the right person. We have a Cane Corso and she was super happy to see him everyday and would get sad when he would leave for the day. I could see through the camera how he would be constantly playing with her, cuddling and keeping us updated ! I will continue to book and feel confident that my baby is safe. He even trained with her asking her to sit before treats. Overall super happy with the services provided and my baby was happy.”
About: I have 7+ years of professional pet care experience and currently work as the assistant manager of a high-volume pet care facility specializing in boarding, daycare, training, enrichment, and socialization under the supervision of an animal behaviorist. I have extensive hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, personalities, and needs — from playful puppies to senior pets requiring medications or specialized care. I’m experienced handling shy, fearful, reactive, strong-willed, and aggressive dogs, and I always prioritize safety, patience, structure, and positive experiences while making sure every pet feels comfortable, understood, and cared for. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, happy, and comfortable while giving owners peace of mind knowing their animals are in experienced and reliable hands. I understand that every pet is different, so I take the time to learn their routines, personalities, and individual needs to provide the best care possible. Whether that means playtime, extra patience, slower-paced senior care, or lots of affection and attention, I care for every pet like they’re my own — with plenty of love, belly rubs, and a few treats along the way! I do work full time but I'm available Monday-Friday after 3pm. I'm also available for overnight boarding on weekends. I'm flexible with my schedule as well. I currently do not have any pets in my home, which allows me to provide a calm, personalized environment tailored to each pet’s individual needs and comfort level. Whether your pup enjoys walks, playtime, enrichment activities, relaxing companionship, or a slower-paced routine, I’m happy to adjust their care based on what makes them feel safest and happiest. Safety, supervision, and making pets feel comfortable are always my top priorities, and I’d love to learn more about your pet’s routine, personality, and favorite things to help them feel right at home!
“I am very happy with the care Casey gave my Dogs. I felt very comfortable leaving them with her. She sent me pictures and updates so I can see how they’re doing. I diffently would like for Casey to sit for me again next time I go away.”

About: Growing up, we always had dogs around (German shepherds, border collie, pit bull). When I moved away, I missed having my furry best friends around. I adopted my pup Professor Wellington from a shelter in LA when he was around 6-8 months old. He was the first little dog I ever had which seemed easier living in apartments in LA & NYC and traveling. We had almost 13 years together before he recently passed away, and now I have an even bigger soft spot for older dogs that need some extra TLC. I have a regular 8-5 type job during the week, and I have the most flexibility in my day on Friday afternoon/evenings and the weekends. Having a pup that was an escape artist in the beginning, I’m very aware of checking for possible escape routes. I’m also used to watching for signs of anxiety and fear with the environment and other people/dogs. Every dog is different, but I want them to feel as comfortable, happy & safe as possible. For any house sitting requests, I do require doing a meet and greet prior to confirming the booking to make sure that we are all on the same page
“Sarah did a really great job and I can tell she loves animals! She kept me informed and put my mind at ease. We will definitely want to have her pet sit for us in the future!”

“Tanesha was very responsive and easy to work with. She can tell I was nervous as this was my first dog, and first time using rover for a 5 day trip. When she could tell I was nervous she followed up with more updates and pictures. Will use her again!”

“Amir overnighted with my 2 large neurotic dogs over New Years. He was super attentive to specific meds and feeding regimes, as well as their PTSD with fireworks and noise. I felt confident leaving them to Amir and came home to happy dogs and a clean house. Recommend!”

About: I've had the privilege of taken care of doggos since I got my first dog at 8. Since then I have been my friends go to person when their pets need a walk or a companion when my friends are out of town. I am now looking to do this as a job since it's what I genuinely enjoy to do! This will be my full time work, so I am fully dedicating my time to having fun and taking care of animals from now on. I will care for your pet as you ask me to and make sure to communicate and recap how our time was spent so you're always in the know.
“Danielle was incredibly cheerful, professional and responsive and she took wonderful care of our two dogs while we were out of town for a week. She sent us regular updates and kept our place clean. We would definitely hire Danielle again the next time we need a dog sitter, and we highly recommend her to anyone else in need of someone to look after their pups.”

“I would not hesitate to rebook dog sitting services with Elizabeth in the future. She is competent and caring, responsive and reliable. My pets seem quite healthy and happy. I’m very satisfied with Liza.”

“Jasmine is an amazing pet sitter! She was very caring and attentive while taking care of my cat. She made sure to send lots of updates and pictures and I couldn’t have felt more comfortable while I was away!”

About: I used to work in an emergency vet hospital so I have knowledge on how to act in an emergency situation, common welfare, and proper precautions/warning signs/symptoms. I have also cared for pets of all ages, including 2 week old kittens, senior dogs, and many more. I work during the day Monday-Friday but can do evening and morning care and am fully available on the weekends. Starting in August I will be available during the day on the weekdays. I will follow any rules you set for me when caring for your pets. Every pet is different and needs different accommodations. But I will also love on them as if they were my own!
About: What sets me apart is my hands-on experience caring for multiple dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and needs. I currently have six dogs of my own, including a senior dog, so I understand the importance of patience, consistency, and individualized care. I’m comfortable with feeding schedules, administering basic medications, monitoring behavior changes, and making sure older dogs stay comfortable and safe. I also have experience handling high-energy dogs, multi-dog households, and maintaining calm routines. Being around dogs every day has taught me how to read body language, build trust quickly, and create a safe, loving environment for pets while their owners are away. Pet care fits really well into my routine since I work part-time and have a flexible schedule! I’m able to dedicate quality time throughout the day for walks, feedings, playtime, and check-ins. I enjoy being active and spending time with animals, so caring for pets is something I genuinely look forward to each week. When caring for pets, my main priorities are safety, comfort, and consistency with their normal routine. I take time to learn each pet’s personality, needs, and preferences—whether that means following a strict feeding schedule, taking long walks, or giving extra cuddles for reassurance. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their space and follow all instructions closely—from feeding directions to favorite walking routes. I make sure to leave everything clean and tidy, and to keep open communication so clients always know their pet is well cared for and happy.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Wilmington
Giovanny has been the most communicative sitter we’ve had so far on Rover! He was great with sending updates and sharing pictures of our dogs pretty much everyday day. He was also super reliable with our dog’s medication which is critical for his comfort. Our WiFi went down the day we left and all our security cameras went offline- Giovanny was kind enough to help us troubleshoot at the modem so we could get them back online.! I felt there was some opportunity with tidiness but nothing outside of what is acceptable. I do think he was very respectful and responsible with our home - we have already rebooked him for our next trip!

Hannah took exceptional care of our dogs once again. All of our dogs require medication, which she handles with ease. Additionally, she cooked special food for our dog when he had an upset stomach. She also took out our garbages and brought in packages for us. Highly recommend!

Joel was( great! He was responsive, communicative, and thoughtful with us humans. Most important, he was great with our silly pup. He also took good care of our home. We were able to have a great getaway because we knew our pet and our home were in good hands.
Jonathan was incredible. We booked him the week of using Rover and he stayed in our home and watched our two golden doodles that are four years old. He walked the girls multiple times a day and made sure that they were fed. It was very comforting to have someone staying in our home being with our dogs knowing that they had someone was very comforting. We are already looking to book Jonathan for our trip in October and would be happy to recommend him for any owner owners. He kept the home clean and tidy and sent us lots of cute photos!!

My dog took a liking to Ali right away! I did also and feel she genuinely cares and is knowledgeable about animals. She sent cute updates and was clear in her schedule and communication. She was respectful of my space and I felt at ease knowing my pet was in good hands.

I am reluctant to leave a review for Lauren as we will 100% use her services again in the future, but know a good review will make this harder in our future. But Lauren was/is awesome. We have a 200lb Great Dane and frequently travel where we need to house him for a couple days. In the past he has stopped eating which causes him to get anxious and 'hangry' and he's a mess when we get home. So we tried Rover and selected Lauren cause she has VetTech experience. She was wonderful with our pet AND even took him for daily walks which he loves but 200lbs is a lot when a squirrel crosses his path. Lauren is awesome and stayed over in our home for couple of days. Shows up on time and communicates expectations and daily status. Confidence with Lauren.

Mahima was fantastic! If I could leave more than five stars I would. She is detail oriented, and followed all my instructions perfectly. I was worried about my reactive boy. But she handled him beautifully, and is very confident in her approach. She sent many videos of daily activities, ensuring my furry friend was well taken care of. If she was unclear, she didn't hesitate to ask. She left my house immaculate. Mahima is extremely kind and respectful, and a lovely human being. I highly recommend her. Sparky and I both say THANK YOU Mahima!

Simply can't recommend Alex enough! She has been an absolute lifesaver for my boyfriend and me, helping with backup care for our dog, Mischa, who just went through TPLO surgery. From the very beginning, Alex has been incredibly attentive, kind, and reliable. Mischa (and our other animals too) warmed up to her instantly, which immediately put us at ease. Alex has gone above and beyond to make sure our pup is comfortable, safe, and happy—whether it’s administering medications, helping with mobility, or just providing extra love and cuddles during recovery. Her communication is excellent with regular check ins throughout the day, which has been a huge comfort during this stressful time. We feel so lucky to have found someone we can truly trust with our fur babies. If you’re looking for a compassionate, responsible, and loving caregiver for your dog, Alex is absolutely the one!

Shannon was wonderful. The boys loved her. I was worried about leaving them for days, as I never had, but once we met Shannon, those fears evaporated. She came for a couple short visits prior to my trip. They took to her immediately, and while I was away she sent videos and pics multiple times per day. Really couldn't be happier!
