About: We both grew up with dogs. We currently have 1 cat which we have had for 10 years, a large dog, and a medium sized dogs. This collection of pets gives us a good amount of experience in caring for different types of pets as well as how they interact with each other. In addition to our own pets we have also cared for some of our friends pets overnight on many occasions and have shared houses with roommates who have also had dogs and cats. I have no prior professional experience caring for others pets, do I m a behavioral psychologist who has worked with neurodivergent children for many years and can apply these concepts to pet care. One of us works from home 5 days a week and the other works from home 2 days a week. With the exception of some meetings, can be flexible to provide care at most times of the day. In our experience, that dogs and cats crave more than anything else is safety, trust, and an understanding of the ways they attempt to communicate with you. Our pets are capable of being on their own when needed, but when we are around they never leave our sides even for a moment. They are obedience as trained through positive reinforcement and socialization through meaningful experiences. They look to us for guidance, but we also like to challenge them to think for themselves to solve problems such as getting a to out of reach or navigating to us when the path is not visibly clear. I give this level of attention and support to every pet I meet and know how to build a relationship of trust and respect quickly and effectively. Even pets belonging to former roommates tend to follow me more than their owners after enough time.
About: From taking care of my first love Chocolate(she was a beautiful chocolate lab) at the age 7 , to sharing a Maltese named Snoopy with my best friend in high school, to watching my college roommates blue nose pit and greyhound; I’ve become the designated dog sitter for all my friends and family. While i love running and playing with young pups, I am never opposed to cuddling up with the more seasoned pups. “Elaine and Izzy exceeded our expectations! We boarded our 1 yr old GSD mix for a week while we were out of town. They were also kind enough to care for our home, including our cat, fish and plant care, mail, liter, etc. Not only did they care and interact with each of our babies, they taught him new tricks!! I knew in my heart my babies were in great hands the whole time. They truly gave us peace of mind while out of our country with frequent detailed updates of photos, videos, and texts.
