Hi there! I’m Alex — a lifelong animal lover, outdoor enthusiast, and proud pet parent. With over 25 years of experience caring for animals, including seven years working in animal shelters, I’ve had the joy of helping pets of all shapes, sizes, and personalities — from energetic puppies and curious cats to gentle seniors and shy rescues. I have a particular soft spot for rescues after witnessing first hand the beauty of a second chance. I know how much trust it takes to leave your furry family member in someone else’s care, and I take that responsibility seriously. I treat every animal like my own — with patience, love, and plenty of playtime. Whether your dog loves long walks and hikes or is more of a couch potato extraordinaire, I’ll make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. Animals bring so much joy to our lives, and I’m grateful for the chance to return that love through every wag, purr, and tail-thump I get to share.

When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to keep their routine consistent — from feeding times and walks to play and rest. I take time to learn each pet’s preferences and comfort levels so they feel safe and cared for in their familiar environment. I also make sure your home is treated with the same respect and care as your pet.

Simply can't recommend Alex enough! She has been an absolute lifesaver for my boyfriend and me, helping with backup care for our dog, Mischa, who just went through TPLO surgery. From the very beginning, Alex has been incredibly attentive, kind, and reliable. Mischa (and our other animals too) warmed up to her instantly, which immediately put us at ease. Alex has gone above and beyond to make sure our pup is comfortable, safe, and happy—whether it’s administering medications, helping with mobility, or just providing extra love and cuddles during recovery. Her communication is excellent with regular check ins throughout the day, which has been a huge comfort during this stressful time. We feel so lucky to have found someone we can truly trust with our fur babies. If you’re looking for a compassionate, responsible, and loving caregiver for your dog, Alex is absolutely the one!
Alex is an absolute GODSEND. My 60 lb, recently adopted and easily excitable rescue dog requires an experienced handler. (He's not aggressive, just young, wild, and still learning the rules of interacting with humans.) Until we found her, we've struck out trying to find a good fit for someone to walk him. From the very first meeting, Alex's calm demeanor, skilled handling and complete love for dogs were obvious, and allowed her to view my dog's behaviors through an empathetic lens, which in turn allowed my dog to calm down and trust her pretty quickly. I can't say enough good things about her and I highly recommend her to anyone who has a dog with behaviors that are not perfect. She can handle your dog with skill and kindness. I'm so grateful for Alex!
I have never met anyone else who respects animals and treats them like their own family the way Alex does. With her dog, and everyone else's, she understands the inner workings of the animal brain! She can train them, help relax them into a nap or orchestrate the best play time. Above all else, she understands our pets are family and other pets are members of other people's family and respects them as such.
Alexandra exceeds all expectations for providing a caring environment for your pet. She interacts with all dogs in a way that makes them feel as though they are with their new best friend. Some may say she is like a puppy whisperer, as she always seems to know what a dog needs; whether it be a pet behind the ear, a fresh bowl of water, or a game of fetch. Schedule
Because I work remotely, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give pets the time and attention they deserve. I can easily adjust my day to include walks, playtime, feeding, or snuggles, and I’m never far if they need company. Whether I’m stopping in for a visit or providing overnight care, your pet’s needs fit naturally into my daily rhythm.

- It’s always helpful to know a bit about your pet before we meet — things like their personality, energy level, quirks, and favorite activities. Do they get nervous around new people or certain triggers (like hats, bikes, or other dogs)? What makes them feel most comfortable? These details help me ensure our first introduction is a positive experience for everyone. I love all breeds and have no breed restrictions, as I believe every dog deserves to be seen as an individual. I’ve also been a pit bull advocate for over 15 years, and I’m experienced in handling strong, affectionate, and misunderstood breeds with care, respect, and confidence.
