“Matthew is seriously AMAZING. My usual sitter got covid and had to cancel last-minute, and Matthew got back to me so quickly, happy to take over. We couldn't do the meet and greet beforehand like I usually like to do because of how last-minute everything was, but Matthew was so easy to work with from the start and was really great with the pups. My two dogs are rescues with sometimes challenging temperaments, but Matthew handled them so well! I even had to add my partner's rowdy pup in training, and Matthew handled all three dogs with great care. Definitely would recommend to all and will be a repeat client :)”

About: I've always had a strong love for animals. Whether soft or scaly, feathered or fluffy, animals make life special and more meaningful. My love for pets started with a cat, then a hamster, more cats, dogs, and a fish here and there... Nowadays you’ll probably find me with my two orange cats and a Scooby Doo dog. In addition to drop-ins and sittings, my pet/animal care experience includes volunteering at PetSmart and the SPCA of Long Beach. It’s been a joy to care for all the many pets and animals throughout my life! I work full time Monday through Friday but am open some weeknights after 5pm. I’m also available on some weekends and holidays. My pet care routine includes feeding, walking, grooming, and playing. I love feeding and giving them treats, playing, and going for walks. I also love downtime and cuddling. I will follow your care instructions, be respectful of your home, and provide detailed updates on how your pet is doing.

About: I have hands-on experience caring for a wide range of dogs, including breeds like pit bulls, German shepherds, huskies, english bullterriers, bulldogs, and American bullies. I’ve raised and trained my current dog from a puppy and cared for my previous dog through all stages of life, including senior care. I’m comfortable with different temperaments and energy levels, from high-energy dogs to more relaxed or older pets. I also have experience pet sitting for multiple types of animals, including cats, fish, turtles, and small aquatic pets. I’m patient and attentive, and I’ve worked with shy animals, earning their trust over time. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. I’m currently a college student at CSULB with a consistent class schedule, which allows me to plan my pet care visits reliably. Depending on the day I’m typically available in the afternoons, evenings, and weekends, and I make sure to schedule my time so pets receive consistent attention, walks, and care. I’m dependable and communicate clearly if anything in my schedule changes. I prioritize creating a safe, calm, and comfortable environment for every pet. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions, including feeding routines, exercise, and any specific needs. I’m attentive to behavior and make sure pets feel secure in their own space. I also keep owners updated with messages and photos for peace of mind while they’re away.

About: 🐾 Experience I grew up with a family dog who was part of my life for over 10 years (she passed away last year and I miss her dearly), so I understand the day-to-day responsibility, routines, and care that go into keeping a dog happy and healthy. Through that experience, I’m comfortable with: - Daily walks and exercise routines - Feeding schedules and portioning - Basic grooming (brushing, cleaning paws, etc.) - Giving lots of attention, play, and companionship I’m especially mindful of each dog’s personality and energy level. Whether your dog needs a calm, relaxed walk or something more active, I adjust to what they’re most comfortable with. I also understand how important communication is for pet owners. I provide consistent updates, photos, and check-ins so you always feel confident your dog is safe and well cared for. While I’m newer to Rover, I bring real, hands-on experience from years of caring for my own dog and I treat every dog I work with like they’re my own. I thought this could be a good way to help me heal my heart after the loss of my family dog and be more active while helping local dog owners. I have a flexible schedule and live locally in Belmont Shore, which makes it easy for me to provide consistent and reliable care. I’m available for morning, midday, and evening walks or drop-ins, depending on your needs. I enjoy staying active, so daily walks fit naturally into my routine. I’m also available on weekends and can accommodate recurring schedules. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always follow your instructions closely, including feeding routines, leash preferences, and any specific behaviors or needs. I’m attentive on walks, avoid unsafe or crowded areas when needed, and make sure your dog is secure at all times. In your home, I’m respectful, clean, and mindful of your space. I provide regular updates with photos so you can feel confident your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for.
About: I have had dogs my entire life - as a kid and adult. Throughout my life I have had a Lab, Dalmatian, two Boxers and a 3.5 lb. Yorkie. I love dogs at all stages from puppy to seniors. I have trained all my own dogs with lots of treats and positive praise. I make sure I understand your pets needs, motivations, behavior patterns and safety concerns before I accept any pet assignments. I promise to take care of your dog as if it were my own. I promise...they are our fur babies. I am available Monday through Friday and some weekends. I am flexible and can work most hours of the day. I am reliable -- once I commit, you can count on me showing up on time ready to go. Your dogs safety and wellness is my priority. I will discuss any triggers your dog may have beforehand. I always carry water (hydration is key) and plenty of poop bags. I will treat your dog as if they were my own.
About: I have experience walking my neighbors 10 year old dogs, as well as house sitting and dog sitting for them. I also teach kids ages 3-12 how to swim at the Long Beach yacht club. I spend my time studying for my bachelors, reading, and self studying French. None of these require a specific location so it works well with sitting. I spend lots of time with my pets and cater to their every need. They hold the title of pet, but they are animals just as we are that deserve attention and a close eye.
About: Hi! I'm a lifelong animal lover with experience caring for dogs of all ages, from playful puppies to senior dogs needing extra attention. Whether your dog needs a walk, companionship, or personalized care, I'll treat them like my own and provide a safe, loving experience. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! Pet care is an important part of my daily routine because I work part-time and have plenty of time to devote to my furry friends. As a pet lover, I'll treat your pets as my own and make sure they receive the love and attention they need. I have a huge yard with four friendly dogs :) I follow the rules set by homes while giving the most love and attention possible.
“Vic is an amazing animal care-taker. She truly loves animals and she goes above and beyond. She is efficient in communication and reliable. I’m so happy she lives so close because she will be my go-to anytime I need a dog walker/ sitter from here on!”

About: I’ve been pet sitting for 20+ years and have yet to meet a dog I don’t enjoy. I love learning about their unique personalities and caring for them. I have a light work from home schedule, so I’ll be with your dog most of the time (with the possible exception of a quick run to the store/errand). I have a dog of my own who I walk, hike, play with, and take to the dog park regularly. I’d be happy to have another pup to take on outings, if appropriate. I have a fenced balcony and live in a very peaceful, walkable area. My house is open to the dogs (except for the kitchen, which I’ve blocked off because my dog will jump high to grab snacks). My dog is friendly and a bit aloof; he mostly keeps to himself and enjoys having the company of other dogs. Should anything happen, I live within 5-10 minutes of at least 3 veterinary hospitals.
About: I’ve always loved animals, specifically dogs. Since I can remember, I’ve always had animals. Growing up we were limited, but once I was old enough I’ve had multiple at a time. I work from home, and so does my partner. We walk our dog at least 4 times a day because she’s older and needs more potty breaks. My dog roams free but if you need me to crate, I can. We live by the dog beach so we like to take our girl often! We don’t have a yard but we have a beach.
About: I am a dog owner to two of my own. My oldest is 10 and I’ve couldn’t find something that gives me the most joy in taking care of them and playing with them. I also have 5 years experience with fostering all kinds of puppies and dogs. This experience fostering allowed me to learn how to take care of dogs that aren’t my own. It also showed me how to comfort, play, and love all kinds of dogs. I am currently a college student home for the summer and have plenty of time on my hands. I also have my own car to make travel easier. My weeks are mostly free, which leads to plenty of free time on my hands at any time of day. I always make sure to create a trusting environment for not only the dogs but for the clients as well. I understand how leaving your dogs with someone can be scary, so I try to create a trusting and caring relationship with everyone involved. I also never try to overstep with dogs and clients. In terms of taking care of the dogs and instructions, I make sure to listen to all of the clients’ wants and needs and make sure they all get fulfilled in order for the best outcome for the dogs and clients.

Caitlin has been an amazing walker for our dog. Communication has been great and she has done an excellent job for both long term daily walks and drop-ins. It has been so easy to coordinate and schedule. Our dog is very comfortable around her and has the best time. We will continue to use Caitlin's services!

My dogs seemed to absolutely lover Trevor! They had a great walk, and Trevor was extremely helpful and responsive. He listened to special requests like avoiding other dogs, and made sure my dogs had the best time on their walk. Will definitely book again, thanks!
Leah and Edward have been my dog’s walker for the past three months. They are great communicators, always on time and well skilled with dog behavior and additionally are so kind to her. Additionally, they are generously walking their well-trained dog with mine to help with my dog’s reactivity. I highly recommend them!
