“While our dog is sweet, he is a bit independent, strong-willed and reacts to squirrels, cats and some other dogs. It was important for us to find someone that feels comfortable with these behaviors as well as who would just like our dog. Kyle has a great demeanor with his calmness, gentleness, and care, we're so grateful to have found him. On day one, our dog did a rare cuddle up to him. He and his partner took time to visit and get to know our dog, our house, our neighborhood, and our routines with our puppy-child. We are and will be repeat clients as long as he chooses to be available. Couldn't be more grateful. Thanks, Kyle.”
About: I have a special places in my heart for animals and can’t wait to share that love with your pets! I have always adopted my own dogs from the animal shelter and have experience with all types of temperament’s. I am also an avid runner with my own dogs and happy to take yours for a run as well if a walk isn’t enough for their energy needs. Since we can’t adopt any more dogs into our family at the moment, I joined Rover as a way to have more dogs in my life! I work full time from home but have a pretty flexible schedule to take my lunch break at any time during the day depending on when your pet needs me. While I will only be providing outside the home services, I always make sure to treat people’s homes as I would my home. I make sure to leave it better than I found it and alert the client if I noticed anything that needed their attention immediately.

I am currently a stay at home mom/wife ..so I will have plenty time to give needed attention to the doggies and nice play time as well. I have a fully fenced backyard where dogs can safely play, have potty breaks and enjoy the outdoors. My apartment community also has a dog park, plenty of grassy areas, and a walking trail, providing lots of opportunities for exercise, playtime, potty breaks, and exploration. I make sure every dog gets the activity, attention, and care they need while staying in a safe, comfortable environment.

About: Hi! I’m Heather! I am a lifelong animal lover, reliable caregiver, and proud pet parent of two doggos and two kitties (one who is a brand new addition!) I’m gentle and calm and I treat every pet like my own. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your animals, so communication and compassion are always my top priorities. You’ll get photo/Video updates and lots of reassurance while you’re away. I’m experienced with shy pets, senior pets, and anxious pups who need a little extra patience and kindness, and I adjust to your pet's personality and routine. I’m dependable, compassionate and always respectful of your homeand I truly love spending time with animals and giving them comfort, playtime, and affection while you’re gone. I know separation anxiety works both ways, and I strive to keep my clients relaxed and confident in my care of your fur babies. I am comfortable with oral medication routines as well as pet CPR. I would love to see if I would be a good fit for your family's needs. I’m a part-time student and work flexible contract jobs, so I’m able to build my schedule around pet care. I keep my availability consistent and make sure I have plenty of time to give each pet the attention they deserve. Pet sitting fits really naturally into my routine, and I love having furry company throughout the day. When I’m caring for pets in your home, my priority is to keep their routine familiar, their space calm, and their day as stress-free as possible. I follow your instructions closely, meals, walks, litter box care, playtime, meds, and any special quirks or comfort rituals your pet prefers. I’m gentle, patient, and attentive to each pet’s personality, whether they want cuddles, playtime, quiet companionship, or space. I move at their pace so they feel safe and understood. I also keep your home tidy and treated with respect while you’re away, lights, mail, plants, and basic upkeep are all happily included. My goal is for you to return to a relaxed pet and a home that feels well cared for. No matter the service, I focus on creating a loving, predictable, and calm environment so your pet feels secure until you’re home again.
About: Hi! I may not have a ton of recent reviews, but I’ve been on Rover since 2019, and animals have always been my passion 🐾 I currently work as a relief veterinary assistant at CAMP LA in San Pedro and have been there for 5 years. Over that time, I’ve worked both full-time and part-time, gaining hands-on experience with a wide range of animals and medical care. These days, I’ve shifted into a more flexible schedule so I can spend time with my baby, but animal care is still a huge part of my life and something I truly love doing. I’m also continuing my education to become an RVT and have a bachelor’s degree in Zoology. I absolutely love what I do, and honestly, I’ll probably be more excited to meet your pet than they are to meet me 😅 During the weekdays, I’m a stay-at-home mom, so my little one is with me. Because of that, I do require pets to be very friendly and comfortable around a baby. She’s gentle and used to animals she treats our two cats like royalty. Current availability: Drop-in visits Dog walks (best for dogs ~40 lbs or under) For larger dogs or house sitting, I’m available during evening/night hours (around 8 PM–4 AM). If your pet is a good fit, I would truly love to care for them and treat them like my own. I currently work as a relief veterinary technician, and since becoming a mom my schedule is more flexible, but my little sidekick comes with me 😊 (don’t worry, she’s friendly… just a tiny gremlin lol). Services I offer: Drop-in visits: All sizes welcome, as long as your dog is friendly House sitting: Available for friendly pets Dog walking: Small to medium dogs preferred; larger dogs are okay for walks during evening/night hours when my baby is asleep (for everyone’s safety) Boarding: Small dogs only (apartment rules), must be friendly with babies and cats My goal is to keep everyone safe, comfortable, and happy me, my baby, and your pet 🐾💛 I live in an apartment (not fenced), so for boarding in my home, I can only accept small dogs. Your pet must be very friendly and comfortable around a toddler and cats, as I have an 18-month-old and two cats at home. My cats are used to dogs as long as the dog is respectful, and my little one is gentle, but safety for everyone is my top priority. Because I’m a stay-at-home mom during the day, pets need to be especially friendly if I’m caring for them while my child is awake. For evening/overnight services (after 8 PM), I’m able to care for pets on my own, but I still require them to be friendly and safe to handle. Why you can trust me: I’ve been pursuing a career in animal care for years. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Zoology from Humboldt State University and also have my veterinary assistant certification. I’ve worked at CAMP LA in San Pedro for 5 years as a veterinary assistant and currently work as a relief technician on weekends while continuing my education to become a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT). I’ve also volunteered with Marine Mammal Care Center and have two sweet male cats of my own. My goal is simple: To provide a safe, loving, and trustworthy environment where your pet is treated like family. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just keeping them comfortable, I’ll make sure they feel cared for every step of the way 💛

About: I've been a cat and dog owner my whole life and have been pet-sitting for friends and family for over 20 years. I have experience with cats (including kittens and seniors), dogs (including puppies and seniors), rodents, and a little experience with ferrets. I try to adapt to your pet's mood and "social" preference, so I can be calm and comforting or high-energy as needed. I travel frequently as a freelance sailor and photographer, but when I am here in San Pedro, my schedule is wide open. Because pet-sitting is my only occupation when I'm in town, I'm able to make your pets my priority with zero corporate distractions. I am available anytime from 9am to 5pm for consistent daily midday walks, flexible check-ins, and short-notice bookings. Since I live right here locally and have my own reliable vehicle, I can adapt to your pet's routine seamlessly. I try to keep to your pet's routine and your standard of care-giving as much as possible. Every animal has a unique personality, and I completely adapt my style to match exactly what they need on any given day. If you have a high-energy puppy who needs a brisk, fast-paced walk around town to burn off steam, I am ready to move. If your pet is older, shy, or prefers gentle companionship, I am more than happy to focus on slow sniffs, belly rubs, and quiet cuddles. I treat your home with total respect, leave everything exactly as I found it, and provide you with detailed updates and photos after every single visit.

About: We live in a very dog friendly and safe neighborhood. I’m experienced in taking care of special needs dogs as well as non-special needs. If your pup is on a special diet, I have no problem weighing food. As well as administer any meds. I’m currently available to play, walk and take care of your pup. I can take your pup out to go potty every 2-4 hours. Taking care of pups needs is my first priority. I do ask that your dog(s) and cat(s) be current on flea medication and their vaccinations, just to safe as we go for walks around the neighborhood and/or parks.

About: Owners will love the care I provide because I'm very loving and respectful of needs/wants. I'm very caring for animals as they need our help as much as possible. I love all kinds of animals. My care experience is based on learning from watching, reading online, or learning on my own experience how to proceed in careful matters. I've learned very risky situations on my dogs that I had in the past that I was not comfortable with but I managed to take risks. So I can say I'm a bit of a risk taker as well, But a safe only if you want me to do. Nothing is done without concerning the owner. These are a bit of what I can do for my dog and try with any other pet. I can bathe, clip nails, comb hair, and come up with tricks with treats granted. Availability comes great with me because I'm home with my fur baby of my own. I'm home throughout the day/night unless I'm doing homework, photography, or at the gym to better myself; Which I love too. This is great as well if you're looking to better your pet well being. So being available is my most accurate thing about me and it works for any working hours of dog owners. My special skills are loving, playing with dogs, and keeping them happy always while spoiling them with my love or treats. haha. I also love to take photoshoots with my fur baby as I'm trying to own my business one day. I love teaching tricks, spending time walking with them, or just hanging out. I'm here for dogs. Dog lover is my passion. If I could own many dogs I would. I'm those extra helping hands. I am here for you! I can take them to play, walk, feed them, and potty/poop. I also can be there for your fur baby on weekends if you like to go out somewhere and have no worries. I'm here for you. I make sure your fur baby is happy, worry-free, and calm and stays to your commands/rules. I give love and accept lovable kisses and messes. I also have a fur baby of my own, so I know what it takes. I can do any service that you want and try my best to succeed with focus and helping needs until you return to your favorite companion.
About: Hello! My name is Angela. I work from home full time in Social Media live a very active lifestyle. I began seriously pet sitting when I moved to California in 2021 and had to leave my family’s dog, Ace behind (my mom won that custody battle). I understand how important one’s pet is to them; they’re more than a pet, they’re family. As a pet sitter, my mission is to be as transparent with the owners and as loving and caring as I can be with the pets. I’ve cared for 20+ animals of all ages, sizes, and backgrounds, and previously gained pet / house sitting experience for family and friends over the last 10 years. I live in a small apartment complex in a nice neighborhood that has plenty of green space and parks to walk to. Though I don’t currently have pets of my own, I’ve turned to Rover for fun and to hang out with some great furry friends. Your pets’ safety and happiness are paramount. I aim to create a stress free environment for everyone and make their stay as fun and enjoyable as possible. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions. I can’t wait to meet you and your fur baby! I work remotely from the comfort of my own home basically full time (rarely will I need to do meetings in person). Work is flexible so I have time throughout the day to be around your pet(s), whether it’s for walks, play time, or just checking in. Moreover, it’s easy for me to adapt to your pets’ routine, whether they are staying with me or I am housesitting. Your pets’ trust and comfort are the most important things to me. I will do my best to make them feel as ease and safe with me by following their regular routine, cuddling them, giving them space, etc. And because I work remotely, I can ensure I will be with your pet all day long.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - San Pedro
We had Kristen walk our dog Mako and she did a phenomenal job. She walked him for an hour, and she was super comfortable with him, like immediately which I loved. I am 29 weeks pregnant and have a 10 month old as well so this was super helpful to have Mako go on an hour long walk with her. I highly recommend her and she seems like a true animal lover and although I just met her, she seems like she had a great vibe about herself.

Jacques fell for Izabella the moment he saw her! Izabella was extremely attentive to Jacques & his recent leg injury. She carried him up & down the stairs not to mention the curbs & across the streets! She was absolutely awesome and we are so very grateful to have met her!! We well rebook walks with her...Jacques already misse

Vasiliki was so attentive to Jacques. He hurt his leg playing and now needs to be carried up & down the stairs. Vasiliki paid attention to his safety & gave him some extra love. Jacques was so excited to see Vasiliki knowing she was taking him for a walk! We will most definitely reach back out to her to care for Jacques. Vasiliki was on time & great at communicating when she was picking/ dropping Jacques off!!
