About: I’ve worked in the animal care field for over 18 years including veterinary hospitals, animal rescue, fostering (from chihuahuas to pit bulls), wildlife rehab, spay/neuter clinics, etc. I’m a certified positive dog trainer through Victoria Stilwell Academy, and am always pursuing educational opportunities with animals. I recently went back to school to finish my vet school prerequisites, and submitted my application in September! I have experience taking care of animals with a variety of special medical and behavioral needs. My own pack includes Bruce (senior poodle mix), Judith (2 y/o pit bull), and Hershel (Maine coon mix) - all are rescues! I was born and raised in the South Bay. About: Our pets are just an extension of our family. I grew up in a house with pets and farm animals. I was taught to treat these animals with love and respect and ensure that they had fresh water and food every day.and that they were cleaned-up after, exercised and that they were comfortable. Upon having pets of my own, I raised my kids and now, grandkids, that our pets are special and essential in our lives and need to be treated that way. I have owned strays and mixed breeds, and a lhasa apso to hybrid wolves. A few years back, I started carrying for friends pets in their homes when they traveled. This service brings them peace of mind and comfort when they are away, as they know their sweet pet is being cared for with the same level of care that they provide. And having their pet in their own environment is less stressful of the whole family. I ensure that a regular routine is maintained and that fresh food and water is always available. I walk and/or play with them to entertain and exercise your pet on a daily basis. I am happy to provide updates and pics while you are away. And I make sure that the poop is cleaned up, as well. I am recently retired and have lots of flexibility in my schedule so I am available to walk or provide over-night stays when needed. I care for your pet as you would care for them. I do my best to keep them safe and cared for in the environment they are used to, their own home.

During my time in high school, I volunteered at Pug Nation Los Angeles (where I also found my sweet boy, Wrigley). About: Growing up, I spent time helping and learning from my uncle, a professional dog walker! I assisted him on daily walks for years and cared for dogs of different shapes, sizes, and ages. He passed down valuable knowledge on pet care and respectfully conducting one's self. I believe this experience directed me to a passion for pet care. I deeply care for animals and know how much walks can mean for dogs. My own dog loves going on walks for miles. Each pet is different and requires their own set of needs, though. Thus, I strive my best to meet the needs of each pet I come into contact with! I have graduated with a B.A. in psychology and have spent the past year working in schools and a clinic. I am taking a break from full time work and have flexible availability! While my own home is not available for pet care, I am more than able to travel to a client's home and do the necessary tasks required of me.
