About: I grew up in a household where we always had 1-3 dogs at a time, in addition to several other furry and feathered friends. I’ve experienced the joys and challenges of puppyhood and cared for old friends. I understand that each dog has their charms and quirks, and I try to tune into their individual needs to provide the best care possible. I’m currently working part-time with generally flexible hours for pet care drop-ins and walks. My schedule varies from week to week, but I consider my availability thoughtfully and will always try to make your requests work! My cats have always been indoor-only, and the dogs have typically been crate-trained as babies and then given free rein of the home, couches and all. I know all households have their own rules and preferences, so I’m happy to work with whatever you have going on!
About: I've had and taken care of many cats for over 15 years, i would pet sit long before any of these apps were around. So i am a pro at this I have a well balanced daily routine but if things change i find ways to fit or change plans around to get things done. I am well managed. i don't do home care services for pets yet. Since i have my own pets i don't have the space to be able to accommodate
About: I’ve always been a dog person! I grew up around animals and have had both cats and dogs my whole life. For the past 14 years, I’ve also cared for friends’, family members’, and neighbors’ pets, so I’m experienced with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. I love getting outside for walks—whether it’s a quick neighborhood stroll or a longer adventure, whatever is best for your pup. I had a baby in February, and we’ve made daily walks and hikes part of our routine. Since losing my own dog in May, I’ve really missed having a furry walking companion. I’ll typically have my baby with me, either in a stroller or baby carrier, so your dog will need to be comfortable around babies. I’m reliable, patient, and will treat your dog like my own. I’ll always make sure they get plenty of exercise, attention, and love, and I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you know they’re having a great time. I’m currently a stay-at-home mom, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of availability for pet care. I’m able to provide walks, check-ins, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. I love having animals as part of my routine and enjoy making sure they get the attention, exercise, and care they need. I only offer pet care in the client’s home, as I have a cat of my own who prefers being the only furry friend in the house. In your home, I’ll make sure your pet feels comfortable and cared for by providing lots of love, feeding, walks, playtime, and attention. I’ll also help keep things tidy along the way so your home is just as you left it.

“I really appreciate the hard work and effort Moira puts in to walking my one year old Dachshund. My pup was immediately comfortable with her. I recommend Moira to anyone 😁”

About: I’ve been dog walking for about 5 years now and occasionally my friends’ parents ask me to pet sit for them when they go on vacation. One of my friends has 3 cats and 2 big dogs and I’ve been able to care for all of them without any problems. My friends’ parents always trust me taking care of their pets because I’m reliable and they know that on top of everything I have to do (like feeding, walking, and cleaning up after them), I always give them a lot of love and attention as well. I’m a full time college student. I’m also an acting major which means I film or have rehearsals on some weekends. I do only have classes on Monday through Friday for about 2 or 5 hours depending on the day. This allows me to be able to take care of or walk dogs between or after my classes or on some weekends. When taking care of pets I’m usually left with a list of instructions and I always make sure to follow that list closely and thoroughly.
About: I have always had a special place in my heart for pets, I truly think they are one of the best parts of life. I would love to care for your pets! My partner and I currently live in a home with ample indoor and outdoor space for your furry friend. I used to work as a wildlife caretaker for 3 years caring for small mammals, reptiles and birds of prey. These days, I am very dedicated to my Chocolate Lab Max, who lives back in Florida. He is my best friend! I have never met an animal I didn't love, even if they needed a little bit more patience and care. I understand how important furry friends are and will take every measure I can to make sure you have peace of mind while your animal is being cared for. My partner and I are both flexible with our schedules and able to tailor our care to your pets needs! I work from home and have a very flexible schedule. I can accommodate most schedules and needs, as well as provide ample attention and time to your fur baby. I make sure to treat my clients homes with the utmost respect and care. I have pet sit for different friends and families throughout the years and understand that allowing me into your home means upholding a high level of trust and safety. As a pet parent myself, I make sure to send updates so you have peace of mind that your fur baby is safe with me!

About: I have been caring for dogs my entire life — it’s not just something I do, it’s who I am. I currently have two boys of my own: Basil, a French Bulldog, and Cashew, a Morkie. I also regularly care for a German Shepherd, a Chihuahua, and several other breeds, so I’m very comfortable with dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I also have availability during school breaks and holidays, so I’m a reliable option when you need coverage during those busy times. The safety of every pet in my care is my top priority. At my home, I have a dedicated fenced-off area just for dogs, so they have a secure space to move around freely. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I do a full walkthrough to make sure all doors, gates, and exits are secured before letting any pup roam. I stay hyper-aware and attentive at all times — your pet won’t just be watched, they’ll be genuinely looked after.

Great experience and definitely highly recommend Sky!

Madison was SO great with our older dog, River. From the first meet and greet I knew we had found someone special because River loved her so much. We came home from an 8 vacation to a dog who looked happy and not at all stressed out - all thanks to Madison! Thank you SO much!!
Thank you so much for taking such great care of Hunter. You did a truly wonderful job with both his morning and evening walks. I do not trust just anyone with him, so that means a lot to me. It was clear that the walks went really well, and I think this was exactly the kind of day Hunter could have wished for as an Alaskan Husky: attention, great time outside, and genuine care. I really appreciate it. Thank you again.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
