About: I’ve had dogs for as long as I can remember; I’ve had several of all sizes throughout my life, and they were like siblings to me. I love dogs of all kinds; wherever I go, they seek me out, greet me, and let me pet them. I think that’s a great sign that I connect with them. I am a freelance videographer and video editor. I set my own schedule, so at any moment I can pause my editing work to go walk dogs or look after my son's cat when he travels. Yes, often. I take two dogs for a walk every day; I've been doing it for years, and babysitting my son's cat when he travels.
“My 5 year old doodle has been walking with Jailene for over a week now. We decided our pup needed more midday exercise than we could provide, so Jailene swooped right in to come on time everyday: friendly, confident, professional, and no frills. My dog even looks cool walking with her! They get an uphill mile in each weekday for 30 mins and our pup comes back worked, happy, and relaxed. It's been very easy to communicate with Jailene and we trust that our dog is in good hands.”

“Chieko has been walking our dog regularly for a couple of months now, and she has been wonderful to work with! She's easy to communicate with and I can tell she absolutely loves animals. Would highly recommend booking Chieko for any of your pet care needs!”

About: I’ve lost my poodle of 17 years recently. I have 17 years of experience caring for animals. Filling the void by caring for all your lovely pets :) I am currently working from home Monday-Friday and am totally open during the weekends, giving me a lot of time to take care of your pups! I can crate your dog in my home if needed. I do live in an apartment but right next to a lovely park for our daily walks!
“Wonderful responsive communication, Susan took great care of Chief and spent extra time too. She bailed us out being available on short notice. Best Rover dog walker we've had in a long time!”

“Elika walked my dogs while I was working from home, so I got to see exactly how happy they were to see her! They might be more excited when she walks through the door than when I do!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 11 years, and animals have always been a big part of my life. After recently losing my own dog, I found myself really missing the joy that comes with having a pet around. I decided to join Rover so I could spend time with animals again while helping other pet parents feel comfortable knowing their pets are in good hands. I’m patient, dependable, attentive, and always respectful of each pet’s individual routine and personality. Whether your dog loves walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply having someone nearby, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. ❤️ I have a flexible schedule and spend a lot of time at home with my little one, which allows me to be around and attentive to pets throughout the day. I’m available primarily for boarding and can give your pet plenty of companionship, playtime, walks, meals, and cuddles. I’m happy to follow your pet’s normal routine and make their stay as comfortable and stress-free as possible. My home is a comfortable, family oriented environment where pets can receive plenty of attention and companionship. Safety is my top priority, and I’m careful to follow each pet parent’s instructions regarding feeding, walks, medications, and routines. I’ll make sure your pet has a safe, clean, and comfortable space to relax, play, and feel at home. I’ll also keep you updated during their stay so you know how they’re doing.
“Allen was very professional and cordial. He was very open with communication and vibed with our dogs. I would recommend him to anyone that expects the level of care our furry family members deserve.”

About: I’ve been working with animals for over 25 years, including 10 years as a veterinary technician and as a behavioral dog trainer. As a former vet tech, I’m comfortable administering medications (oral, topical, injectable), monitoring special-needs pets, and caring for both senior dogs and tiny puppies who need a little extra attention. My background in animal behavior allows me to read a dog’s body language, support anxious or high-energy pups, and create a calm, positive experience on every walk. Whether your dog needs structure, gentle reinforcement, behavior training, or just a patient friend, I’m confident, capable, and committed to their safety and comfort. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. I’m currently not working a traditional job, which gives me plenty of time to focus on walking, caring for, and spending quality time with your fur baby. My schedule is very flexible — mornings, afternoons, evenings, and last-minute bookings all work for me. I love being outdoors, staying active, and making every walk a positive, enriching experience for the dogs I care for. When caring for pets in my clients’ homes, I prioritize comfort, consistency, and following your routine exactly as you outline it. I’m a detail-oriented and caring individual, so whether your pet needs medication, a specific feeding schedule, gentle reassurance, or extra playtime, I make sure everything is done just the way you prefer. My goal is to keep your pet feeling safe, relaxed, and loved while you’re away.
About: I have taken care of our own and other dogs for our entire lives. I understand they are a part of the family and have always given them the treatment they deserve. I live with my wife but will be the exclusive care taker of your loved ones! Work from home with virtual meetings on and off, can walk and take care of pets in between. Open mornings and afternoons and can pay close attention all day long. Happy to follow any instructions from owners to keep your pets in the most comfortable conditions and allow them to keep their day to day routine

About: As a student, I took classes at the East Valley Animal Shelter in Los Angeles. I adopted a Pitbull Lab mix from the San Pedro Animal Shelter while I was in college. He changed my life! I was a pet sitter for several years, walking dogs, doing day visits, and overnights in the Southbay area. I currently have 3 pets: a Chihuahua Mix from a non-profit shelter and a tuxedo cat. A stray kitten was living under my truck and she basically adopted my dog. I love walking, swimming, the beach, hiking and just in general being outdoors. Pet sitting is my ideal part time job. I want to be outdoors and meeting new people/pets. I have two little humans I take care of and do have to be flexible because of their schedule. But I have plenty of time for your pets and I am good about schedules. Very detailed oriented. I am careful about fences, gates, and locking up when I leave to make sure your pet is safe and secure between my visits and while you are away. Whatever instructions you leave for me, I will follow.
About: I originally grew up taking care of rabbits, guinea pigs, and chinchillas, which included grooming / shaving/ nail clippings and baths. I even litter trained them myself. I learned at a young age how to be gentle with all types of small animals and the importance of a clean environment. I am also available for exotic animal drop in visit care services (rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas). In my later years I fell in love with dogs and cats. I rescued all of my cats from trees and crawl spaces and learned how to cut their nails as well. When I got my first schnauzer - I learned the joy of training, patience, and positive reinforcement. My favorite thing to do is walk and spend time with animals, so it only makes sense that I create a lifestyle conducive to the things that bring me joy. I love spoiling dogs with special treats and I always talk to them like I would a person because they are so smart and pick up so many words. Walking with dogs outside, playing, chasing squirrels, and the joy of fresh air is my favorite thing to do. No walk is ever long enough for me. I am highly interactive and assertive to animals needs and I know how important positive energy is for their wellness. A good environment allows them to thrive and trust the company they are with. I am currently working part time, and I have a somewhat flexible work schedule, so pet care is something I enjoy and do daily as I have a pup of my own. I share my pup part time with my ex partner, so I have many days available to help take care of other animals. If it was completely up to me I’d have a tiny farm. I love animals so much and walking dogs is my absolute favorite pastime. I live in a one bedroom apartment with my cat Penny. My pup visits me two days a week. My cat is very dog friendly because she is used to my pup visiting twice a week. Fresh water, teeth brushing, home cooked meals/kibble are all things I do and I have stairs for smaller dogs to come on my couch. No areas in my home are off limits to pets.
About: I started being around dogs in 2013 when I met my boyfriend. I was nervous of dogs until then from an accident when I was just a toddler and now I’ve grown to love dogs so much! Since then he’s had a chihuahua and a yorkie, now with an aussie doodle. Now I dog sit my bff’s dogs: a golden doodle and a mix that we have yet to discover but maybe a pekingese hehe. Those two have made me the cool dog auntie. I was recently laid off unfortunately so I have a very open availability. I can go for daily dog walks and dog sit for any duration. I have a small home with no yard. We can go out for walks and potty breaks throughout the day since there’s no access to go out by themselves. I follow an eating schedule with my two dogs when they stay with me so I’m accustomed to meal times.

“My did a wonderful job with my 2 dogs while I was out of town! She was professional, timely, and very caring towards my dogs. I have large dogs and she was well equipped to handle them. Will definitely use My again!”

About: I’ve take care of every type of animal you can even think of, I’ve had rabbits, dogs, reptiles, cats, horses, guinea pigs, turtles, whatever you name I’ve taken care of it. If someone asked me to take care of their pet raccoon, I’d do it. I always have and always will be an animal Lover. I am part/full time and I’m open whatever days I’m needed. I’m available during the weekdays if you have work and weekends I’d you are busy. I have a fenced yard and my home is always welcome to any dog but if the owner would rather me stay at their home that’s okay with me too.

Denise was AMAZING! My dog was very anxious when I left and Denise did a fantastic job of caring for my dog while also doing a little bit of extra cleaning because of a few accidents. Denise was always in communication and constantly updated me whenever she would walk my dog about her status, eating habits and how my dog was feeling. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dog sitter/walker! She's awesome :) Thanks again Denise!

Monica was fantastic with our energetic Golden Retriever! She was always right on time, communicative, and an absolute pleasure to work with. It was great having total peace of mind knowing Harry was in such good hands and getting plenty of exercise. We’ll definitely be booking her again—highly recommend!

I am very satisfied with the service I received from Saffi. It is very comforting to know I can trust someone to help me with my pets when I’m out on vacation. Saffi sent me updates and photos and I knew my dog was very happy. I definitely would recommend her to anyone on the Rover app. Thank you Saffi!

This is the second time I have booked a walk with Carissa for both my pugs. She responds very quickly and good communication. She followed the instructions we asked for our pups and appreciated that she let us know how the walks went along with pictures. Would book again in the future!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
