“Shannon went above and beyond in caring for our two cats! I appreciated her for jumping in for our sort of last minute request and doing such a great job. She communicates well, asks great questions — and her updates and pictures gave us peace of mind while we were out of town. She also got the cats to warm up to her so quickly so huge plus. Highly recommend”

“Stephanie is wonderful! We love booking with her. She is so sweet and caring and our cat Socks loves her. She even took time out during the holidays to check on him. We always feel totally comfortable when she is watching him. ❤️”

“Ginny was so kind and sweet with my cat! My cat gets lonely when I’m away so I mainly needed someone to come play with her for a while everyday. When I got back, my cat was noticeably less lonely and Ginny was great about sending photos and letting me know how my cat was doing everyday! Highly recommend!!”

“Elika was wonderful with our two cats. She knew how to approach each one depending on their personality, and I could see that she adores them through many photos she sent. I thoroughly enjoyed those photos! She was punctual, all the tasks were done flawlessly, and she did extra such as washing the finished dishes and playing with kitties using different toys. My kitties will see Elika again for sure!”

“"I can’t recommend Leiah enough! She is professional, down-to-earth, friendly, and an excellent communicator. From our meet and greet, it was clear she truly loves dogs and knows how to engage with them. She is punctual and provides great updates (and awesome photos!) which gives me total peace of mind while I’m away. If you're looking for someone trustworthy who will treat your dog like her own, Leiah’s the needle in the haystack you are looking for!"”

“Kevin took great care of my two cats, was very detailed with his post-visit reports and provided plenty of pictures. Would not hesitate to have him cat sit again!”

About: I’ve had dogs for as long as I can remember and have always been surrounded by animals. Before having my own children, I had two dogs of my own who were a huge part of my life. I absolutely love animals and believe they deserve kindness, patience, attention, playtime, and a lot of love. I understand how important it is to trust someone caring for your pets, and I treat every animal as if they were part of my own family. Whether it’s walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply making them feel safe and comfortable, I truly enjoy giving pets the care and attention they deserve. I’m available Monday - Friday after 3:00pm and available on some weekends. I do like to travel, so sometimes I’ll be busy. If you need weekend care, please don’t hesitate to reach out and inquire if my schedule doesn’t reflect those specific dates. I currently no longer have any pets in my home, which is why I am extending the extra time I do have, to share my care with others who need it. I would love to earn yours and your pets trust for any type of time or care your pet may need.
“I’m very happy that Chieko took good care of my cat while I was out of town. She sent me pictures and updates every time she came, so that I could be sure my cat was doing OK. Not only taking care of my cat but she also took care of me how to navigate the app step by step. I’ll be requesting her again next time.”

About: I’ve lost my poodle of 17 years recently. I have 17 years of experience caring for animals. Filling the void by caring for all your lovely pets :) I am currently working from home Monday-Friday and am totally open during the weekends, giving me a lot of time to take care of your pups! I can crate your dog in my home if needed. I do live in an apartment but right next to a lovely park for our daily walks!
About: I have always been a dog person after watching the movie Beverly Hills Chihuahua. Ever since I was little we have always owned a dog, my god parents gave me a beautiful little shitzu but unfortunately we had to rehome him but years later I bought my own little maltese poodle. I have quite the experience with dogs because I’ve always been around them whether it’s my own, my family’s or friend’s. I currently only work 3 days out of the week as a receptionist in a chiropractor’s office so I have so much free time for your pups! I will spend time with your fur babies such as taking them on long walks, perhaps even teaching them a couple new tricks, cuddle with them and bathe them if you feel comfortable with that.
“My cats instantly trusted Ciai, which says a lot! She fed them, cleaned their litter, and spent time playing with them so they weren’t lonely. She was reliable, caring, and made me feel at ease while I was away. Highly recommend her and will definitely book again.”

About: I’ve had multiple pets throughout my life from dogs such as a Labrador mix, a Rottweiler mix, and a Maltipoo. I’ve also had a bunny, 2 chinchillas, a hamster, and my sister’s cat. I currently have a 6 year old Tuxedo named Misha. I have volunteered/interned at animal shelters/rescues/daycares such as Camp-Run-A-Mutt, Pug Nation LA, and The Puppy Academy. I’m currently employed full time, however, I plan to take walks on my free time after work M-F around 4:30pm or on anytime on the weekends. I will take every protective measure to ensure your furbaby is safe. Your furbaby is my furbaby. In a clients home, I will do a walk-around to make sure there is nothing harmful to them (small objects, visible cords if they are teething, etc.)
About: I have several years of experience dog sitting for friends, family, and neighbors pets. I provide structured care for senior dogs (e.g., leisurely walks and frequent potty breaks) or high-energy dogs (e.g., intense play and long walks). I have experience administering medications, following feeding schedules, and handling special needs. Love capturing photos and sending consistent updates through out walks and visits. Full availability for walks on weekends, I currently work full-time during the week with availability after 4. Happy to work with your schedule if needed :) I make sure the environment is clean, comfortable, and free of hazards. Daily routines include feedings, walks / playtime and affection, while weekly routines focus on maintenance like cleaning, grooming, and health monitoring. Always giving cuddles and playtime when wanted :)

About: I originally grew up taking care of rabbits, guinea pigs, and chinchillas, which included grooming / shaving/ nail clippings and baths. I even litter trained them myself. I learned at a young age how to be gentle with all types of small animals and the importance of a clean environment. I am also available for exotic animal drop in visit care services (rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas). In my later years I fell in love with dogs and cats. I rescued all of my cats from trees and crawl spaces and learned how to cut their nails as well. When I got my first schnauzer - I learned the joy of training, patience, and positive reinforcement. My favorite thing to do is walk and spend time with animals, so it only makes sense that I create a lifestyle conducive to the things that bring me joy. I love spoiling dogs with special treats and I always talk to them like I would a person because they are so smart and pick up so many words. Walking with dogs outside, playing, chasing squirrels, and the joy of fresh air is my favorite thing to do. No walk is ever long enough for me. I am highly interactive and assertive to animals needs and I know how important positive energy is for their wellness. A good environment allows them to thrive and trust the company they are with. I am currently working part time, and I have a somewhat flexible work schedule, so pet care is something I enjoy and do daily as I have a pup of my own. I share my pup part time with my ex partner, so I have many days available to help take care of other animals. If it was completely up to me I’d have a tiny farm. I love animals so much and walking dogs is my absolute favorite pastime. I live in a one bedroom apartment with my cat Penny. My pup visits me two days a week. My cat is very dog friendly because she is used to my pup visiting twice a week. Fresh water, teeth brushing, home cooked meals/kibble are all things I do and I have stairs for smaller dogs to come on my couch. No areas in my home are off limits to pets.

About: Hello, my name is Kendal! I’ve grown up with dogs and cats my whole life, and caring for animals has always been a huge part of who I am. I currently have a cat of my own, and spending time with animals is something I genuinely love. Whether it’s going for walks, playing, giving them plenty of attention, or simply keeping them company, I’m happiest when I’m around them. I’ll treat your furry family members with the same patience, love, and care that I give my own, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. 🐾 I’m currently working part-time in the afternoon 3 days a week so I’ll have plenty of time to take care of your furry friends! I have a kitty of my own who I love and care for every day. I make sure they have fresh food and water, a clean litter box, plenty of playtime, and lots of love and attention. I believe every pet deserves to feel safe, happy, and cared for!

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Torrance
Sydney was great! She showed up on time, sent pictures of Mystic during her check in, took her on a walk and even played fetch with her. :) Mystic had a blast! We were so grateful that Sydney was able to help us out and are looking forward to hiring Sydney again in the future! :)

Shannon went above and beyond in caring for our two cats! I appreciated her for jumping in for our sort of last minute request and doing such a great job. She communicates well, asks great questions — and her updates and pictures gave us peace of mind while we were out of town. She also got the cats to warm up to her so quickly so huge plus. Vanessa took wonderful care of our cats while we were away for two weeks. She was always on time, incredibly responsive, and kept us updated with detailed report cards after every visit. It was obvious from the photos and updates that our cats were comfortable, well cared for, and genuinely loved by her, they looked like they were having a great time! She also went above and beyond by bringing in our packages and helping with a few small requests around the house, which we really appreciated. Knowing everything was in such good hands gave us so much peace of mind while we were traveling. We highly recommend Vanessa to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy cat sitter!

She did a wonderful job making sure my cats were comfortable, happy, and fed every day while I was away for a week. She communicated well and was attentive to all the needs of my special-needs cat and my kittens. I felt confident knowing they were in caring and capable hands!

Beyza was amazing with our cat, Strawberry. Even though it was their first time meeting, they bonded very quickly and Strawberry felt comfortable with her right away. During every visit, Beyza spent quality time playing with Strawberry, brushing him, and making sure he received plenty of attention and care. She was very responsible with feeding, refreshing water, cleaning the litter box, and keeping an eye on everything while we were away. Whenever there was anything worth mentioning, she proactively reached out and kept us updated, which gave us great peace of mind during our trip. I would absolutely book Beyza again in the future and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and attentive cat sitter. Thank you so much for taking such great care of Strawberry!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
