About: Hi there! I grew up with animals and have been around them my entire life. My Grammy was part of the Golden Retriever Club of LA, a dog trainer, and a breeder. I assisted her many times growing up whenever she had a litter of puppies. I was even able to experience being in the operation room during one of the births to support the puppies when they were born. Animals have been a big part of my life and they have created so many beautiful memories for me to cherish! Currently, I have availability off and on throughout most days. I am a graduate student, so my schedule can change. Please refer to my calendar or ask me before booking! I have lots of experience caring for other's pets and family's pets as well over the years. I am always mindful when going into people's homes and often try to find small ways to leave it looking better than when I arrived.
About: I've been a dog lover and dog owner my entire life and currently share my home with my 2-year-old Mini Australian Labradoodle. I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, and needs. I work from home, which gives me the flexibility to provide plenty of attention, companionship, potty breaks, walks, and care throughout the day. I love being active and am happy to take dogs on long walks and provide exercise and playtime for dogs who enjoy being active. At the same time, I understand that some dogs are true companion dogs who simply want to be close to their people. I'm happy to provide plenty of physical proximity, affection, cuddles, and companionship and will always pay attention to your dog's individual comfort level and personality. I also have experience administering medication and caring for dogs with different needs. I pay close attention to routines, behavior, and anything that may help your dog feel safe and comfortable while you're away. I also have two dog-loving children, ages 9 and up, who have grown up around dogs and love giving them extra affection—while I will always be your dog's primary caregiver and responsible for their care. Most importantly, I genuinely love dogs and understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. I would treat your dog with the same love, attentiveness, and care that I give my own. I work from home as a nutritionist and personal trainer, so pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. Because I have a flexible schedule and am home throughout much of the day, I can provide regular potty breaks, walks, exercise, companionship, and plenty of attention. I enjoy being active and spending time outdoors, and I love having dogs as part of my day. Your pet's safety, comfort, and well-being will always be my top priorities. I believe every pet has different needs, so I take the time to learn about their routine, personality, preferences, and any special instructions before caring for them. In my home, dogs will be treated as part of the family and closely supervised. I will follow your instructions regarding feeding, walks, medications, exercise, and routines to help your dog feel comfortable and secure. When caring for pets in a client's home, I am respectful of both your home and your pet's routine. I will make sure they have fresh food and water, exercise and companionship as needed, and will always ensure doors and gates are secure and your pet is safe before leaving. We have a fenced in back yard.
“This was our first time using Rover for drop-in visits, and Erik made the experience very smooth. He even did a meet-up beforehand to make sure our dog was comfortable with him. He was very responsive and great at giving updates, which gave us peace of mind. Highly recommend him!”

About: I have had dogs in my family ever since I could remember. As an adult, I have had my own dogs for the last five years - Star and Popsicle are my world! I am comfortable walking two dogs at a time, administering medicines, and if there is anything else your pet may need, I have probably handled it myself before. I have cared for other people's pets on and off for years as well and have handled many situations with ease. I currently have a very flexible, open schedule that can accommodate any specific walk times or potty breaks. I can assist any time of day, any day of the week. Hello! Trusting me with your beloved pet means that they will be taken care of with all the love and attention that I give my own two dogs. I am patient, attentive, and kind in my care, and I genuinely love being around any pets! From feeding to enriching walks, I want to make sure your pet feels safe and happy while you are away.

About: I have had pets throughout my entire life. Animals receiving the love, care, and treatment they deserve has always been something I cared about deeply. I am free to care for your pets on weekdays, weekends whenever you need. About: I’ve been taking care of dogs for many years, including my own large-breed dog, so I’m very comfortable with pets of all sizes and personalities. I’m patient, responsible and calm in any situation, and I make sure every dog feels safe, understood and well cared for. Owners trust me with feeding routines, potty schedules, long walks, playtime and keeping their dogs relaxed while they’re away. I pay close attention to each dog’s needs — whether they are energetic, shy, or still learning. My goal is to give your pet a comfortable, stress-free stay and to keep you updated with photos and messages throughout the day I live with my Rottweiler and provide calm, structured, and attentive care in a home environment. I’m with the dogs most of the day, so they’re never left on their own and always supervised. I focus on keeping dogs comfortable, relaxed, and safe — whether that means playtime, walks, or just having space to settle in. I’m very attentive to behavior, routines, and boundaries, especially when dogs are staying together. I treat every dog like my own and make sure they feel secure, respected, and at home. I live in a quiet, safe home with great walking areas nearby. Dogs are always supervised and kept on leash during outdoor time, as I don’t have a fenced yard. I introduce dogs slowly, monitor interactions closely, and make sure everyone has space when needed. Safety and comfort always come first.
“We booked our holiday travel a little late in the year and our normal supply of family/friends who cat-sit for us were unavailable. I took a chance on Rover and found Allen and it all worked out splendidly! I met Allen before we left, gave him a quick intro to our cat Lisette, and away we went. I also left written instructions just in case and Allen followed them to a T. He sent photos and a video every day, putting my fears to rest about leaving our cat alone for the first time (we adopted her 6 months ago). I recommend Allen 100%! We will definitely be calling him again.”

About: I have over 30 years experience with small breed dogs. I so miss having my own dog for the time being, that I decided to babysit not because I need the money but because of my love for dogs. It's been a wonderful rewarding experience! Since I only take ONE dog per stay, they get all my attention, lot's of play time and love. I will consider 2 dogs if from the same family/client. I have a lovely home near the beach with a fenced in yard. Think of it as a "spa getaway" for your fur baby. I prefer them to be potty trained, but no worries I will work with them. We can have play time in the yard and I would be home with them during their stay. I can take them on walks around my neighborhood if you like. I live in a safe community near the beach. I adore animals and will take great care of your baby while you are gone! I can't wait to meet your special family member and see if we are a fit! I work remote from home Mon - Fri and have alot of flexibility. Plus I have most weekends available. I am fully 100% focused on the dogs I watch. I have toys, a dog bed," my bed" and lots of green grass to run around and play. I have a large backyard that is fully fenced in, lots of room to play and explore. For sleeping, I can crate your dog if you prefer, but I usually have them sleep with me and they have a wonderful front view window to look outside at the neighborhood while on my bed. I currently work remote and have a very easy schedule. Dogs love to sit with me, play in the yard, look out the window and go for walks if you request. Safety is my #1 priority. I have a fenced yard, completly secure with plenty of grass to run around and play! It's a beautiful, tropical, relaxing environment and dogs love my yard. I never leave them unattended at any time.
About: I’ve had pets my whole life, so taking care of animals just feels natural to me. I’m patient, reliable, and genuinely enjoy spending time with all kinds of pets. Your fur baby will be treated like family with me. I currently work from home and work at my own pace with lots of down time to spend with animals. I would like to spend that down time caring for pets. My pets are family at my home. All pets are welcomed and treated as family. Home has a big yard for pets to be outside or spend time with me at home.

About: I have two dogs and one cat currently but three cats in the past! I love all animals and feel connected towards them. I have been working specifically dog walking and sitting for about two years on apps like wag. I am a psychology major and want to work with service animals in the future! I am in school finishing up my degree and minor and mostly do online. I want to work with service animals so dog walking and sitting is a perfect way to gain experience and knowledge on all different kinds of animals and breeds. I care immensely and treats all animals like my own. I want people to be able to feel comfortable with me around their animals and inside their home. I know it takes a lot of trust and vulnerability to let someone you don’t personally know inside your home, so i want to make the experience for everyone as easy as possible. I like to give updates and response quickly to pet parents.
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Walteria
Ruby was absolutely amazing!! 🥹💕 My kitties adored her! Even when our Litter-Robot unexpectedly went offline in the middle of the night because of a WiFi connection issue, I reached out to her, and she was so accommodating! She came earlier than scheduled at the last minute to check on it and spend extra time with my babies. Talk about going above and beyond! 🐾❤️ My cautious little princess, Suki Bear, even came out to hang out with Ruby and her brother AND let Ruby pet her! That says a lot because Suki doesn’t warm up to just anyone! 🥹 Tommy Boy was his usual energetic, playful self and absolutely loved all the attention and playtime! I had such peace of mind knowing my babies were in loving hands while we were away. A++++ service! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My kitties and I can’t thank you enough, Ruby! We’ve officially found our go-to kitty sitter for all our future trips! Highly, highly recommend! 💕🐱

Lisa was awesome and super easy to work with! She took great care of our cat during our short trip away and dropped in help feed and spend time with them. Lisa was responsive and extremely communicative throughout the entire process and we really appreciated her updates. Really glad our cat got to meet Lisa, and would definitely recommend her!

This was our first time using Rover, and Paige was simply amazing. She came over just to meet us beforehand, and she was so interested in our dog, Magic. She got down on the floor and played with him right away. Her reports were wonderful, and the pictures she sent every day were so fun to get. She truly loved him, and you could tell. She is responsible and she genuinely loves taking care of dogs. I never worried once. I knew Magic was in good hands, and we will definitely be using her again.

Aleksandr always goes above and beyond whenever he takes care of our cat. He is very reliable, he visited our cat on a predictable schedule and fed him, cleaned up after him, gave him pets and played with him. He also sent us a few pictures and a short description about how things went each day.

Elika has been an absolute lifesaver for me over the many weeks! I needed someone dependable to walk my dog, Daisy, while I recovered from surgery, and Elika went above and beyond every single day. Daisy absolutely loves her and gets so excited every time she shows up. Elika is super reliable, always on time, and great about keeping me updated on how their walks went. Knowing Daisy was in such good hands gave me total peace of mind and let me focus entirely on resting up without any guilt. If you need a dog walker who is genuinely kind, responsible, and amazing with all animals, I highly recommend Elika!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
