Hi there! My name is Carissa, or Rissa for short. I love animals, especially dogs, more than anything in the world and take my role as a pet care professional very seriously. My priority is your pet and I will care for them as my own - they are part of our families, after all! I actively and diligently provide undivided care and attention to your pet while in my care and you can be sure that I will always prioritize their comfort, safety, and happiness. I have cared for animals all my life, but I have a special place in my heart for dogs. My love for dogs allows me to foster connections with them built on trust and mutual respect. Dogs are more than just pets to me; they're vital members of families and communities and help bring love and positivity into the world, so they deserve to be treated with the best care available. As a pet parent, I understand the importance of carefully following care instructions and protocol such as feeding times and food portions, grooming needs, socialization with other pets, and care routines. In addition to caring for my own dogs, I have also spent years caring for dogs as a sitter, walker, and groomer. In these roles I have demonstrated my ability to work professionally with dogs and their parents, help teach behavioral commands to dogs, communicate effectively with clients, manage time effectively, exhibit punctuality, adapt to changing work schedules and environments, and help make dogs happier and healthier. I have worked with breeds of all shapes and sizes from Chihuahuas and Dachshunds to Great Danes and Pit Bulls. I am comfortable with all animals, breeds, and ages and confident that I will provide pet care of the highest caliber. My hours are flexible and I am able and willing to travel to you.
