About: I previously volunteered for a greyhound adoption agency in Australia where I gained hands-on experience caring for retired greyhounds, including those with anxiety. Before moving to the U.S I also had my own greyhound and successfully transitioned her to apartment living, so I understand the unique needs of the breed. I currently work remotely, which gives me a flexible schedule. I’m often available on short notice and can adjust my availability to suit your needs. I’m tall and confident handling larger dogs, and I approach every animal with patience, gentleness, and care. Your pets will be treated well and will always be in safe, loving hands. About: I've cared for my own dog for several years and have also helped take care of family members' dogs. Through this experience, I've learned how to feed, walk, play with, and provide attention to pets. I'm responsible, dependable, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I understand that every pet has a unique personality and needs patience, care, and consistency, which I am happy to provide! I have very open availability and can make time throughout the day for walks, feeding, playtime, and check-ins. I understand the importance of keeping pets on their regular routine and will make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and care while you're away. I am reliable, communicative, and happy to provide for all your needs! I care for every pet as if they were my own. Having experience caring for my own dog and family dogs, I understand the importance of following feeding schedules, exercise needs, and any special instructions provided by owners. I prioritize safety by keeping pets supervised, ensuring gates and doors are secure. I am confident in my ability to provide a calm, comfortable environment where pets can feel safe and loved.
About: I grew up in a household where we always had 1-3 dogs at a time, in addition to several other furry and feathered friends. I’ve experienced the joys and challenges of puppyhood and cared for old friends. I understand that each dog has their charms and quirks, and I try to tune into their individual needs to provide the best care possible. I’m currently working part-time with generally flexible hours for pet care drop-ins and walks. My schedule varies from week to week, but I consider my availability thoughtfully and will always try to make your requests work! My cats have always been indoor-only, and the dogs have typically been crate-trained as babies and then given free rein of the home, couches and all. I know all households have their own rules and preferences, so I’m happy to work with whatever you have going on!
“Paige was an amazing caregiver for our cats. She showed them so much love and attention in addition to taking care of them. I look forward to her taking care of them again in the future!”

About: I have owned pets my whole life and have a passion for taking care of furry friends! I began sitting for friends and neighbors when I was really young and grew up helping my grandmother and aunt who both ran their own doggy daycare and sitting businesses. I am well versed in dog walking, stopping in to check on pups, and overnight stays. While I am most experienced in smaller to medium sized dogs I have watched over all types of breeds and I am confident in taking care of any dog! I currently have a part time job that only takes up about 6-7 hours a week. I am extremely flexible and available early mornings and late nights. Pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities! I make sure to create a clean, safe, and comfortable environment to make sure your dog feels at home. I am extremely attentive and take care instructions very seriously. I will always ensure that your dog receives the right amount of supervision, exercise, and affection!
“Ashley was great! She was able to do a drop-in on a last minute request, which was a huge help! Penny is shy but she was able to get her to warm up to her and they had a good hour together! Would highly recommend and we will definitely use Ashley again!”

“Erik is amazing! We have an energetic lab, a black cat, and a rescue pittie who has very specific needs and he was able to handle them all. Erik’s patient, communicative, and overall a dog & cat person; we’ll be booking with him for all future getaways! Thanks so much for everything Erik!”

About: I have two dogs and one cat currently but three cats in the past! I love all animals and feel connected towards them. I have been working specifically dog walking and sitting for about two years on apps like wag. I am a psychology major and want to work with service animals in the future! I am in school finishing up my degree and minior and mostly do online and I want to work with service animals so dog walking and sitting is a perfect way to spend my free time I care immensely. I want people to be able to trust me with their animals and inside their home. I know it takes a lot of trust and vulnerability to let someone you don’t personally know inside your home, so i want to make the experience for everyone as easy as possible
“We highly recommend Jaza for all your pet sitter needs! She is a great communicator and very knowledgeable! Our Miso is shy and scared and Jaza was able to create a trusting bond with him in just a few days! This was the first time we left him and he had an accident the first day from nerves. Jaza went above and beyond to clean and sanitize the area and helped him feel comfortable. Her patience with him helped me feel less anxious about leaving him. We will absolutely have Jaza watch Miso for all future trips. Miso was a happy cat when we returned, thank you Jaza!”

About: Hi there! I grew up with animals and have been around them my entire life. My Grammy was part of the Golden Retriever Club of LA, a dog trainer, and a breeder. I assisted her many times growing up whenever she had a litter of puppies. I was even able to experience being in the operation room during one of the births to support the puppies when they were born. Animals have been a big part of my life and they have created so many beautiful memories for me to cherish! Currently, I have availability off and on throughout most days. I am a graduate student, so my schedule can change. Please refer to my calendar or ask me before booking! I have lots of experience caring for other's pets and family's pets as well over the years. I am always mindful when going into people's homes and often try to find small ways to leave it looking better than when I arrived.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and have been around them my whole life. I am currently a dog mom to a Covid puppy and understand the patients, kindness, and encouragement Covid/ all doggies need! While I am not a certified trainer, I have attended training classes for my own dog on basic skills and can proudly say my dog is house and crate trained thanks to those training classes I did with him and the consistency I provided in the home. I currently work for a school district and will be going into summer break. I will be working part-time in the summer, so I'll have plenty of time to play with your pup! I'm available for in home dog visits from Monday through Friday from 7AM- 08:00AM and from Monday through Thursday from 1:30PM- 4:30PM, and weekends between 08:30AM-11:30AM. I will stay to routine to minimize change in routine or stress for your fellow fur baby and provide updates/ pictures (as requested) during my visit.
About: From growing up with dogs and cats to raising a litter of seven puppies from birth until each found a loving home, animals have been at the center of my life for as long as I can remember. As both a lifelong pet parent and someone who has relied on professional care while working full time, I understand how important it is to have complete trust in the person looking after your pets. That’s why I bring not only love and patience, but also a high level of responsibility and attention to detail. Our own dogs keep us mindful of maintaining a tidy, safe home where nothing is left within paw’s reach—because I know that when caring for someone else’s pets, only the very best will do Caring for my own dogs is already a part of my daily routine, so extending that love and attention to other pets comes naturally. Since I work part-time from home, my schedule is extremely flexible and allows me plenty of availability for walks, drop-ins, and extra pup love throughout the week. Whether it’s a midday walk, an afternoon play session, or evening care, I can easily adjust my routine to fit the needs of your pet. In my home, safety and comfort are top priorities. Because I own dogs of only own, my space is always tidy and secure, with nothing left out that a curious pup could get into. My apartment complex also has multiple fenced-in dog parks that I frequent often, giving pups the chance to run, play, and socialize in a safe environment. Pets in my care are always supervised, given plenty of love, and treated like part of the family. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their routines carefully to ensure consistency and comfort, while being attentive to each pet’s unique needs. My goal is to provide a safe, loving environment that gives pets the best care possible and owners complete peace of mind.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Palos Verdes Estates
Catherine is the BEST! Hands down, the best dog sitter! This is our third time having Catherine care for our dog and once again, it was a great experience. We love that she sends detailed messages with photos after each visit. She not only makes sure of dog is cared for but also our home. She makes the home looked lived in while we’re away and I’m so appreciative of her services. Thank you, Catherine! ☺️🐶

Paige was absolutely amazing, incredibly diligent, and truly loves pets. Communication with her was excellent from start to finish. Our dogs require a bit of special care, but she handled everything perfectly and was more than happy to accommodate our sudden requests. She also sent us plenty of photos and videos, and our dogs looked so happy. I will absolutely trust her with our dogs again in the future!
Ilise is INCREDIBLE. She is so kind to our sweet Stella - sends us so many pictures and updates and snuggles with our girl! She even gave Stella a bath when she had an accident. Unbelievable! Ilise is just the very best and we feel like Stella is so safe and loved with her!

Lisa was truly amazing with my cats. She took such great care of them and made the whole experience completely stress-free. She kept me updated, was incredibly reliable, and it was so clear how much she genuinely cares for animals. My cats were happy, comfortable, and very well looked after while I was away. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. I would absolutely recommend Lisa to anyone looking for someone kind, trustworthy, and dependable.

Ruby was great! I booked last minute when I was out of town because I was having trouble getting someone to stop by and feed my cat. She was willing to stop by same day, even though I was only able to book the next day. She was super attentive and communicative.

Gabby has a great understanding of canine/human dynamics and used that skillset to deliver an outstanding visit with our dogs. Being the first time watching them (Carson & Charlie) in our/their home space, she immediately gained the dog's trust and then expanded the relationship by playing games with them (chase, fetch, etc.). She took them on a pleasant walk through the neighborhood, something both dogs enjoyed very much. Throughout the visit Gabby kept us informed via pictures and videos, which alleviated any pet-parent anxiety we might have had. I wholeheartedly recommend Gabby for your pet care needs. You're welcome to reach out to me for any additional details and/or questions.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
